Philosophy Kiss Me Tonight Intense Lip Therapy Review

Soothe Dry, Chapped Lips with Philosophy’s Latest

philosophy ‘kiss me tonight’ intense lip therapy ($20.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a sheer, lightly glossy lip balm that’s designed to combat dry, chapped lips. It does seem to brighten lips up a little bit, but I don’t feel like it adds much noticeable color. It does, however, work to keep lips soft and supple and extra kissable. It has a jelly texture and smells minty-fresh to me.

I like it because it does soften my lips and keeps them hydrated for several hours at a time. I find I don’t have to reapply lip balm quite as often when I’m using this. It sits well on the lips, as it doesn’t just absorb right away. It’s also non-sticky and doesn’t feel thick like Vaseline either.

Kiss Me Tonight is also very soothing when applied over worried lips–cracked or chapped–without irritating at all. I use this both day and night, but it does make a great overnight lip treatment product (particularly if you’re a bit wary of the price tag). I’ve been using my pot for two weeks now, and it hardly looks used at all, so I think it’s well worth the money.

  • Product: 9/10
  • Value: 8/10
  • Ease of Use: 8/10
  • Packaging: 7/10

Recommendation: If you suffer from dry lips, I suggest looking into Kiss Me Tonight as a night time lip treatment product. It’ll keep your lips moisturized and hydrated while you sleep and give you softer, more kissable lips in the morning. If it came in a squeeze-tube or twist-up formulation, it would be tops–so just be sure to use an applicator or very clean fingers!

Hey Christine. I'm the same person that asked you about what's your favorite lip balm on Twitter a while back, and is this still? :)

Yes, keep a pot of it on my desk at all times :)

So, I just got this stuff. And it feels good on my lips, however, my tongue has this weird tingly, numb kind of feeling. Does that mean I'm allergic to it??

I have no idea... I don't think I've gotten it on my tongue before...

Do you know how good you are at convincing us to want something, when all you're doing is giving an honest opinion? Ahh!

LOL! There are certain products I come across that I just really, really love! Those are the products I do try to convince y'all of their magical powers... well, sometimes ;) Love, love this stuff - it's so amazing, and I've been a huge Vaseline girl for YEARS, but I find this works a lil' better (wow!) and feels less slimey, haha.

I was looking at lip moisturizers online at macys.com and came across this one. The packaging caught me. I might have to buy this but it's a little pricey. Christine can you please review the murads pomegranate lip moisturizer at sephora?

I'll try to if I have the chance!

will these make lips softer than mac's tinted lip conditioner?

thanx for reviewing this! This is my new favorite! At first i was into the honey salve from mac,BUT now this my new thang!

So glad you're liking this! I loveee it!

i love this stuff!! it is a bit pricey, but soooo worth it (for me at least)...i had my nose fractured recently and while it was on mend, I had to keep breathing through my mouth, which totally dried out my mouth and lips horribly :( this is the first balm i've bought in a while that i do not have to reapply constantly. hg status for sure!

I think it's totally worth it! It lasts a good while, too :)

The best overnight lip treatment I've ever tried is chapstick medicated....the best part...it's really cheap and it really works the best!!!!

I like that one, but I don't find it great for overnight, it's more during the day for me!

I might have to try this! I'm always looking for a good overnight lip treatment that will keep my lips hydrated the whole night.

I adore it!! My lips are SO healthy right now.

This is too cute! But damn I get too many lipbalms. I have a half-full Rosebud Salve, a almost-full Strawberry Rosebud thing (don't know how it's called) and I recently purchased Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Creme Retro.... which is a quite big pot too. Argh, those lipbalms will last me forever!

LOL! Oh, Mikki, I am the SAME way!

Hm interesting. I was allergic to the regular Kiss Me... so I will probably skip this, but thanks for introducing the product! I have friends with dry lips (and less allergies) and the name is just too cute!

Oh no! Do you know what ingredient you're allergic to, Catherine?
