New Year’s Eve Makeup Ideas
Dramatic & Bold Smoky Eye: If you love something ultra smoky with lots of black, false lashes, and smoldering, this all-black smoky eye may be your cup of tea.
Smoky Grays: Silvers and grays are what I identify the “original” smoky eye with — this is just one take on the traditional smoky eye. Pair it with a lighter lip to keep all the attention on the eyes.
Festive Gold & Cranberry: Great for a brighter, more colorful look with still a little smoky cranberry edge. I always associate gold and red with the holiday season (both for Christmas and NYE, actually), so I love variations on this theme for eyeshadow, too.
Neutral with a Kick: I love neutrals — I love barely there shades that really flatter peepers, like this soft, brighter beige kind of look. This look is also perfect for pairing with bolder lips!

Wednesday, December 30, 2009I’m going to try to do some neutral shadows but I’m adding some black glitter liner. I’ll use a shimmery neutral lip, and a nice glittery MSF on my cheekbones. It’s the one night a year I wear glitter on my cheeks and eyes.

Thursday, December 31, 2009Sounds fun! What black glitter liner are you using?

Wednesday, December 30, 2009I love that gold and cranberry look of yours! It’s so perfect for NYE too. I… will probably be doing a warm taupe-y smokey eye myself. I haven’t quite decided yet. =)

Thursday, December 31, 2009I’m actaully matching my makeup to my new favorite pair of Betsey Johnson earrings that I’m wearing tonight… either a dark grey or black smokey eye, false lashes and a light pink lip (I’m thinking St Germain l/s and Baby Sparks d/g)
Christine
