Make Up For Ever #10 Fascinating Lipgloss

Sheer and Pearly by Make Up For Ever

Make Up For Ever #10 Lip Gloss ($18.00 for 0.20 oz.) is designed to be a moisturizing, vitamin E and shea butter enriched gloss with “pearly extracts” for “truly sexy shimmer.” #10 is a sheer, shimmery nude beige. It’s virtually colorless on my lips, but it does have noticeable shimmer, which does have more of a pearly look than a glittery feel.

The consistency of this gloss is incredibly thin, which is great for those on the hunt for non-sticky glosses (as this one is), but it takes several applications to get enough gloss to cover my lips. It’s not as moisturizing as lip balm, but it doesn’t dry out lips and keeps them decently hydrated during the hour or two the gloss wears. The wear-time is on the shorter end for me, as I typically get two to three hours out of a gloss, and I’m lucky if I get two. There’s a fruity kind of scent, but I didn’t detect any taste, and the scent is on the subtler side.

I like these, but I like the more pigmented colors. These are my favorite MUFE glosses to date, even though I’ve tried the new ones.

  2. Roxanne says:

    Wauw. That’s not really… fascinating… at all. :/

  3. Ashley D. says:

    Awww it’s too sheer.

  4. Mariah says:

Blah. Sparkly, but that’s it. I hate sheer lipgloss. And I really want to see more of MUFE’s lipglosses! I can’t wait to see more!

  5. Hilana says:

I actually love this colour. But I am a hopeless Make Up For Ever fan since my visit to the US a couple years ago. :)

  6. Resha says:

Sheer, but I like sheer sometimes — just not sure I’d pay $18 for sheer lol. But that’s really gorgeous on your pretty face Christine.

  7. Karin says:

ehh, it’s really gorgeous in the tube, but its a bit too much on the sheer side. its just looks like theres some sparkle to your lips, and no color :( looks like im skipping this one. thanks for the review, Christine!

  8. Kirstie says:

Doesn’t MUFE have a whole new line of lip glosses coming out? With Diamond and other finishes? Sephora does not have them on the site yet, but I swear I heard about them some where.
