I just don’t understand the point of having LE skincare…anyone who has ever worked cosmetics retail knows that skincare is where your loyalty is, your repeat customers. Of course, MAC’s LE colors bring ppl in anyway…but still, I have to imagine they’d sell more of this type of skincare if it were available year-round.
So can anyone advise me- why would I need black paintstick and black cream colour base? Especially if I already have Blackground Paint Pot?
Oh, and FYI, both CCBs are permanent Pro colors, thought the black is not listed as such.

The mineral eyeshadows have a great color in the picture, hoping that it will have an excellent pigmentation when swatching them at the counter, also those nail polishes look great, some men like women to wear the darker shades because that is sexy.. But am not so sure about the black lipstick have to see it frist. The glimmerglasses look unusual but something different this collection reminds me of halloween.

I am so excited about this collection that I went to my local Nordstrom and asked my regular MAC girl when are they taking preorders for this collection.
I am getting the VAE solely based on customer reviews alone! I may have to get the heat activated one too. I am also super excited about these mineralize shadows and maybe a nail polish. That’s it. I still can’t rock the black lipstick cuz I am waaaaaaaaaaaay past my Goth Girl Prime!

Generally, you don’t want to use any exfoliator more than 3 times a week (even ones that say they’re for daily use.)
If you have dry skin, once a week is plenty. Oily types can step it up to a few times a week, but remember: over scrubbing can cause microscopic tears in the skin’s surface and lead to irritation and increased sensitivity.

I would love to purchase the volcanic items just as I wanted to when it was released prior. However, I don’t want to fall in love with something and be so careful not to use it as often as I should for it to be sold out. I am happy about the mineralized eye shadows. The black lipstick looks great on the model. I have tried black lipstick on and I think it could be a nice creation with a different colored gloss…thinking positively. However, when I put that black lipstick on, my white teeth looked horrible. I will be able to keep more of my money in my pocket with this one than I am with the the collection that is out now. Shopping tomorrow:)

Went to one of the NYC Style Black launches yesterday night for Fashions Night Out. Just got the Grease Paint Stick, Young Punk (which is a nice, rich black with purple glitter), and Smolder (need that for a male model ;-)). Didnt get the lipsticks (including Mattenes) because theyre pretty much the same as layering the Grease Paint with balm and some shimmer or matte pigment, depending on the look youre going for (and in the case with Night Violet, mix some shimmery/satin textured purple loose eyeshadow with the grease paint).
The Glimmerglasses are nicely textured and very sheer, especially Blackfire and Bling Black. Even Blackware doesnt come on too strong, which is fine since youd probably mix that with another lip color anyway.
In terms of the eye shadows, I swatched Cinderfella, which is a sheer shimmery gunmetal. Theres nothing black about it. The others are much truer to the collection name, especially Young Punk.

The Nordstrom’s by me came out with black collection yesterday. I have to say I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to the e/s but they have so much glitter in them the pay off is not what I expected. The lip sticks are very matte and really dark for my skin tone, I thought the black one would look good with a red lip gloss on top but believe me when I tell you it is the darkest black.. All I ended up getting was the volcanic ash.

Today I got the grease stick. I saw all the other stuff but have been saving my recycles for like 2 months to get everything for free!! The MES’s are glittery, but I really liked them! I decided to skip the l/s and get Hipster instead!!

I bought SO MUCH stuff from this collection today, and I figured out the lipstick that the model has on (the pink lippie, with the really dark eyes). It’s Brave, with a teeny, tiny bit of Petit Indulgence smeared over it…..awesome!
