MAC Seasonal Peach Nail Lacquer from Cremesheen Swatch

Posted in: Body Products, MAC Cosmetics, Nail Polishes and Treatments, Product Photos/Swatches

Here’s MAC’s Seasonal Peach Nail Lacquer from Cremesheen in a quickie swatch.  This polish definitely needs a base laid down and probably three thinner coats would work better than two thicker coats.  I find it a little pinker than the promo photo, personally, but there is some peachiness in it, I suppose (perhaps, more visible in person than in the photo).

Who else purchased it?  What are your thoughts?

I bought it & I hate the consistancy of it(its soooo thin!) I’m also pretty unhappy with the color. I guess thats what happens when you buy online instead of in person!
I’m thinking of adding a little orange-y color to it to try to give me the color & texture I was hoping for…wish me luck!

lol, Unfortunately it was just an old Revlon color I had lying around called California Sunshine, but I’m sure any creamy orangey/corally color will do the trick!

LOL! Damn! I was thinking a pigment, perhaps, but the only matte one that might work would be the Neon Orange one, LOL. I think it’s TOO bright. I don’t want to ruin the color either, y’know?

I have not bought it. I was thinking that the picture does not make it look peachy, but pale pink. I think if it was thicker, I might would buy it…but will just skip on it this time.

You can definitely see a lil’ peach in it in person, but I definitely think of it as more of a pink than anything else.

I too purchased it online before seeing it person, figuring it would match the one in the promo image for the collection. SO WRONG! It’s not even close to the same colour!

I bought it online, and i hadn’t seen it. i didn’t get it yet but i saw it in the store and i am very disappointed. i was so excited to have a nail polish and lipstick matching, like in the photo. i hate how mac does their promo images like that. one time, i can’t remember the collection it was some kind of lip product, and i asked mac online what shade the person in the picture was wearing and i was told the color that they were wearing and that the photo had some random color tint over it, so basically if i wanted my lips to be that color i would have to walk around with a colored filter in front of my face lol. now i feel like this is it all over again…

after seeing the promo pic online i was planning on getting this. but i went to the store and swatched it on my nail and hated it. it looked nothing like the picture and i wasn’t too happy w/ the consistency.

Yeah, I hate when they’re totally off like that :(

Man, it seems like I haven’t seen anyone get it on evenly! It seems like a really globby lacquer. I like the color, but I don’t know if it’s worth the pain! LOL

LOL! I haven’t tried in practice – like with a base coat and patience and good application skills. It might work out better then, ha!

I agree the formula is sheer & it’s less peachy than the promo pic would have you believe. But I purchased it with the intent of wearing it as a sheer neutralish colour. It actually looks more peachy with only 1 coat.

I for one am happy with it. It isn’t as peachy as the promo pic, but the colour definatly isn’t totally pink. I put on three thin coats and its even and pigmented.

Fiance likes it too. He says its “girly without being Barbie.”

Glad to hear it, Tekoa! Did you use a base with it? If so, which one?

No base. But I do use a top coat by OPI

MAC just doesn’t do great nail polish, in my experience, so I shall be skipping over this one… I’ll stick to OPI and similar for nail things!

I’m sure there’s a similar shade from a number of polish brands for sure!

    Thanks for the swatch Christine!

I was kinda looking forward to seeing this nail colour in person after viewing the Cremesheen promo pix which sadly, is not launched in Singapore yet.

I’d thought that it’d be a great alternative colour (’sides the usual clear lacquer) for a french manicure.

      No problem, Theresa!

You’ll have to swatch it for yourself, and like I said, this is just a quick and dirty swatch so there is room for improvement in the application!

It applies more smoothly if you give your nails a little buffing before you apply it.

based on that picture im not real impressed but i could see how maybe adding some orang-y pigment or something might make it real pretty.

Hm, the only orange pigment I have is the Neo-Orange or whatever. That might be a littttle too bright, LOL.
