Transparent Love

Lip swatches of the Holiday 2008 Coral Lips Palette! Again: All were done with a lip brush and LOTS of swipes. I must admit I’m pretty disappointed with the color pay off. I also apologize for unevenness, as they appeared even to me in the mirror, but apparently it was not the case says the macro shot!

Are these colors available as a permanent fullsize product?

I’m pretty disappointed of the colour pay off too to be honest :( ah well THANKS :)

These are great! I prefer the softer colors on myself! I can see how you all would be disappointed though. These looks can easily be achieved with cheaper products.

I think they look nice on you even though they are a bummer for me. I think uneven sheer-colored lips will be in trend! who knows?

Which camera do you use? i use a digital elph and I find it hard to do close shots without looking like photo has been exposed and cause sunburnt like background. Thanks :)

I am SO GLAD that I haven’t caved in for the Holiday palettes/packagings this year!!!
I bought a few last year and I haven’t been using them much at all because:
    1) I am not a fan of lip palettes (I find them \harder to work with since I prefer a lipstick as opposed to work with lip brushes)
    2) I find that they are never pigmented enough
    3) As for the e/s palettes, I find them generally less pigmented than the regular individual e/s and, therefore, I don’t use them because to me, less color in e/s = boring.
I also find that they are pricey and to pay for the packaging of a product I am not gonna use, is silly.
Besides, I am eagerly awaiting the Hello Kitty collection!!!

  7. I like them but I don’t think it’s very Holidayish somehow, if you know what I mean? You look as lovely as ever but I want more color from those palette babies!
