I don’t remember MAC ever launching pencil duos and eyeshadow trios, usually they are quads. Are the duos and trios something new? Maybe I’m just blanking…
Nope, I don’t believe they have either, so they should be new!

The pain about being new MAC collector is not having a flexible bank account. I didn’t know that MAC releases new stuff every other month! And they all look stunning! arrgh! Can you make guidelines on MAC basic to have guidelines for newMACbie like me, pretty please? At least I don’t need to blow my kids’ college saving. haha

What I meant was more like shopping guidelines for MAC newbies. What basic products we need to purchase (i.e. for eyeshadows, since MAC has tons of colors, pigments, lipglass, etc.) Hope it clarifies a bit Christine, my English is terrible. After rereading my first comment I understood how the post could be confusing.

I think that would be a great idea! Like what different wordings mean, what colors are good starter colors for a MAC collection, the differences in finishes, when MAC normally releases collections, etc. I think that would be a fantastic idea & I hope you do it!

They release the brushsets around Christmas. This year it was with the Antiquitease launch.
Me, too, Kris! I’m all about swatches. They bring out brush sets every holiday season, and there’s usually some sort of brush set out during Julyish, sometimes a Nordstrom exlusive.

For some reason I think the colors in this collection are way more interesting than Fafi.
They just might be, but maybe it’s because we haven’t seen any product photos really.

I’ve received most of the Heatherette collection this friday. The e/s trio’s, dual edge pencils & beauty powders are very pretty. The lipsticks are not my cup of tea, but Lollipop Loving is a great everyday color and Hollywood Nights is a fun lipstick for a night out or a party.

i saw the trios and beauty powders at my MAC store last night when I went to pick up the new blushes! Trio #1 is amazing, but when I swatched the beauty powders I really didn’t like them.
