Remember when we saw Dazzleglasses available on eBay? Well, I purchased several of them out of curiosity, and while they seem legitimate, there is no way for me to know for sure quite yet. The packaging is new, which was expected of Dazzleglass (launching in May), so it’s even more difficult to determine if these are the real deal. As a result, I’ve been sitting on these swatches for nearly a month now, and I figured I’d share them as long as I disclaim that these may NOT be real. Since there’s that chance, I also am not going to be doing a full review until much later, when they actually launch.

Looks like the eBay Dazzleglasses are dead on for the names AND color descriptions! This is good news and definitely adds to the PRO column for legitimacy!
I will give you a quick rundown of the texture/finish/overview of these, though! They are less sticky than lipglasses, but a little more sticky than lustreglasses. For those hoping for a non-tacky gloss, this is definitely not an answer to you. They are all sheer colors, so don’t expect a lot of opacity or color, especially for those with pigmented lips. There is a good deal of shimmer in each gloss, and the finish is a high, glossy sheen.

Yay! I bought Baby Sparks from eBay as well and I love it, such a gorgeous pink and looks awesome paired with pretty much any lipstick! Funtabulous looks pretty too! Thanks for the swatches Christine!

Super duper cool :) quite a few of those colors looks like ones I want. However, I am a little unsure about the VERY high glitter factor…and it seems like big chunky glitter….which isn’t a bad thing…just not sure I like that in a gloss.

They do reflect so very prettily, though. I would say the shimmer/glitter is not HUGE chunky glitter, but it’s enough that you can feel the grit of them from time to time.

Tubes are bigger, but the plastic is much thicker than say a lipglass, so less product is in it.

They look dazzling, literally! I’m not so sure about Comet Blue though! But I think that Money, Honey, Spanking Rich, and Ms. Fizz Pleasure look purdee!!! I cannot wait! I love glitter, so long as it’s not too thick and sticky!

I have the two lightest colors also from ebay, and I must say I really like them and wear them regularly, color and texture are great. But what really irks me is the size of the tubes. On the outside, they look larger than regular lipglass, but there is only a tiny amount of gloss inside, it is just a very thick glass container. I think that is just pulling the wool over the consumers eyes!! Obviously MAC thinks no one will notice, something like that really elevates my blood pressure!!!!! (rants and raves, pulls at own hair)

Comet Blue might look good under certain circumstances, but on its own for me, I would look sick or dead. I wish I knew how to incorporate that color but I’m afraid I’m not that talented. It reminds me of the blue lipstick whenever C-Shock came out and it shows up Blue! I can do light green because it looks like honey on the lips, but blue, looks blue on me! It’s far from Halloween for me to benefit from that.

I bought Love Alert. It goes on smooth, but within 15-20 minutes, its even stickier than a regular lipglass, IMO. So that was disappointing. Howeverrrrr… I love the way it looks over lipstick! I’ve been wearing Love Alert over 40s Pink Mattene & The Scene from Stylistics & it is HOT HOT HOT! :) Thanks for photos of the others… some of them look very pretty! But because of the texture, I’m not too sure if I’ll be buying more of them with the full release in May…

I just think I should let you know that any of the dazzleglasses that you guys are buying online are essentially illegal. In that they have not been shipped to stores for stock purposes yet, aren’t made available to any artists within the company, and are not for retail sale anywhere. The versions of the gloss that have been given to artists, trainers, and the media are training samples… not at all packaged or boxed or etc.
If you are buying these off of ebay I can assure you that their origin is either counterfeit (they are fake) or someone in the warehouse is leaking them out illegally.

These are actually packaged and boxed – they are not marked sample or anything of that kind. The origin of the product is unknown, and I doubt it is something the seller would disclose truthfully.

Exactly. If they are packaged and boxed it means that they were made by MAC at the warehouse. Because these products haven’t been sent out of the warehouse one can only conclude that these were stolen from the warehouse and placed on ebay by someone who works there. They do it all the time with Product Knowledge manuals, etc. There is no way to purchase these at all, in any capacity until the launch date, which is May 1st.

My MA said that these are supposed to be reminiscent of a sugared rim on a margarita…very crystallized…something like that! LOL! He had me sold at sugared rim…I’m going to try to pre order tomorrow with him. He had me excited to see swatches of Naughty Nautical, but I looked at them and nothing is blowing my skirt up.
