Focus On: MAC 194 Concealer Brush
MAC 194 Concealer Brush ($19.00) is a small, flat brush with a paddle-shape that’s slightly tapered. It’s a good brush for initially applying product. I use this to dab on foundation from pumps/bottles, concealers that squeeze out or come in liquid form, etc. I find it makes it easy to simply get the product onto my face without too much getting caught in fluffier brushes’ bristles. After I’ve used the 194 to dab on the product, then I’ll go to whatever brush is actually going to blend it in/apply it fully. I prefer fluffier brushes like the 217 or 275 for blending out concealer personally. This brush, however, is good for applying concealer if you need a bit more precision — say around your brows — but if you don’t need strong lines, then it’s not as necessary.

ive been eyeing this brush for a while neeed 2 get this the next time i guss! my list gets longer for mac each time LOL !

I am not a very big fan of this brush. It is too long while it should be wide. It’s just a little to skinny to apply enough concealer to a spot and same for the undereyes. I am swapping this, any takers?
I’d agree, Michelle. It’s a bit off in size, which is why I think they put out the wider 195, but I just didn’t love that either.
I have this brush, but don’t really like it much. I use the 217 more for blending and applying concealer to avoid harsh lines.

I love using this brush when applying concealer under my eyes and around the nose, I feel like it gets around small areas and creases of my face. Then I usually blend the concealer out with my ring finger..

I use it the same way, Zoila. This little brush doesn’t seem like it’s very loved by fellow make up lovers but personally, I very love it. I love precise little brushes.

I use this for smaller areas on my face.
I don’t use it for concealer but as lip brush and it is my HG, my fave, I love this brush for its precision. I prefer this brush over traditional lip brushes.
