Looks - Soft Pink & Purple Eye

Posted in: Looks, Pink, Purple

I used Pink Opal pigment on lid, Vex eyeshadow on inner lid, Nanogold eyeshadow on middle of lid, Neutral Pink eyeshadow on middle of lid, Parfait Amour eyeshadow on outer lid and crease, Nanogold eyeshadow above crease, Hush eyeshadow on brow, and Feline kohl power on lower lash line. I wore Petalpoint blush with Micro Pink beauty powder to highlight. I had Pomposity lipstick with Backlit 3D glass and Tres Cher! lipglass on my lips.

Okay, I’ve seen that sweater in another post and I’m in love with it! Purple is your color, all around.

And the makeup is lovely! The lips… LOVE!

Thank you, Morgan! :) LOL, no doubt! I own so very little purple (never find the right shade or it’s not in the right style!), so I love this one.

oh and question. is nanogold kind of like motif?

Christine

Friday, January 18, 2008

Yay!! It’s a lovely color. Motif is peachy, whereas Nanogold has pink-purple sheen to it.

really beautiful make-up.I adore pinks and purples. However, in my humble opinion, the inner lid color which I believe is Vex just doesn’t match or suit the other colors. It might just be my screen and how the colors show up, but it just doesn’t seem to compliment the other colors.

I agree–on my screen it kind of looks green (?!) but when i looked closer is wasn’t…

Lovely, as usual :D I was wondering if you have the time to do this everyday when you’re off to college? I had a question - is it ok to wear this kind of make-up at work (Big Corporate name, but easy relaxed atmosphere.)?

Christine

Friday, January 18, 2008

Thank you hun! I’m actually out of college and in graduate school now. I actually did my full makeup nearly every day for freshman and junior years!

I think this would be an okay look in a corporate environment - this isn’t too out there, IMO! I might go for a softer lip, but I think it’s okay if it’s a relaxed atmosphere!

Again, great blending :) and Parfait Amour is one of the best eyeshadow shades ever.

Christine

Friday, January 18, 2008

Thanks, Tonee! :D I finally got it to work for me. I think I had a bum Parfait Amour (I’ve had it twice, the first one gave me NO color ever!).

You’re a freak of nature :p lol.

LOL! If that’s what it means to be a freak of nature, I suppose I’ll take it!

That eye is so soft and feminine. You pull it off well. I’d probably pair it with a nuder lip though, maybe C-Thru. I’ll have to try it out.

Christine

Friday, January 18, 2008

Thanks, JackA! I think this would be great with a softer lip, actually!

OMG so funny that you did this look. I was at MAC counter and picked up some oldies but goodies - Humid, Trax, and Ricepaper that I didn’t have in my collection. I also loved Feline on you and asked them about it. Didn’t know it was an LE eyeliner. Turns out they had ONE left…I totally bought it! All this time I was using Ebony and couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t black enough. The Kohl Power is a waxier consistency and I LOVE it. Feline is the bomb. Anyway, the funny part is that I was telling the MA that I had Parfait Amour and couldn’t really figure a good look for it but I loved the color…and here you did it! It looks awesome and I have all the colors you used. Definitely going to try it.

Ohh, I’m so glad you were able to pick up the last one! Feline is SO BLACK! Gotta love it.

Humid and Ricepaper are AWESOME! Trax, not a fan of, but it looks pretty.

OMG….Can I tell you that I absolutely love this blog…I’m in love with eyeshadow and I can look at this thing all day..It’s my first day and I’ve gone back so many pages so that I can see all of the looks…this one is particularly pretty even though I like looks that are ultra-bright and I’m African-American…I have to find those colors in L’Oreal HIP pigments…Ok…I’m calm now…Good Job on the look and I look forward to reading everyday.. ;0)

Christine
