Look – Simple Green & Dark Green Eyes

This is the look I wore to the Benefit breakfast yesterday :) (This is, obviously, before Benefit made me over!) I didn’t think something this simple would turn out this lovely!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: Soft Ochre paint pot (neutral beige base), Juxt eyeshadow (pastel green), Bottle Green eyeshadow (dark green), Prussian eyeshadow (dark blue), Soft Force eyeshadow (highlighter), Prescriptives Grotto Liner (green), Plushlash mascara (black)
- Cheeks: Margin blush (coral-pink)
- Lips: Brave New Bronze lipstick (pinky nude), Chanel Tangerine Dream (coral)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 129 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Brave New Bronze = Honeylove
Directions: Define brows using a coordinating powder shadow applied with the 266 brush. Apply Soft Ochre paint pot all over the lid as the base with the 249. On the lid, pack Juxt eyeshadow on using the 239. Darken crease with Bottle Green eyeshadow using the 226, then deepen with Prussian eyeshadow with the 219. Sweep Soft Force eyeshadow underneath the brow bone to highlight. Finish with Prescriptives Grotto Liner on lower lash line. Apply Plushlash mascara on lashes. Sweep apples of cheeks with Margin blush using the 129. Apply Brave New Bronze lipstick to lips, and then top with Chanel Tangerine Dream for color and shine.

Thanks, Livia! Yep, it’s a PRO shade!

Very nice, especially the eyes. Still not sold on Brave New Bronze though. :)

Thanks, Anitacska! :)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Beautiful! But why aren’t you using false lashes? They look great on you.
Thursday, May 28, 2009
False lashes are fun, but I like to save them for special occasions and not everyday :)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
You look very cute in green, that’s the color I prefer to see on you. Beside, you have the most perfect eyebrows!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks, Nathalie! :) Glad ya like the ‘brows!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Beautiful! I absolutely love Bottle Green; I use it in almost every green look I do. I haven’t tried pairing it with Juxt, though *makes a note*

Wow, you know, when i saw your pic from the Benefit store yesterday, i thought you had used silver/grey shadows. Must have been your sweater that originally made it look that way to me. However, now that i see this close-up, the colors are just gorgeous together. You’re right, so simple, yet so beautiful. I love it!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
They changed up the look at Benefit :)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
I really like this look! What do you think is a good dupe for Bottle Green? (it doesn’t necessarily have to be MAC either) I’m not near a pro store to pick Bottle Green up.
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks, Jackie! Hmm, it’s kind of like a dark, green. Almost a forest green. I can’t think of any dupes off the cuff, but that’s the color description. Bottle Green is matte in finish, too.

lovely look Christine :)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks so much, Sandy! Hope you’ve having a great day!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
This is, IMO, one of your best FOTDs. It’s so (relatively) simple, but stunning!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks, Jenna! I did it at 5am, so I wanted to do something simple. Plus, I needed to use Juxt to match my shoes, LOL.
Thursday, May 28, 2009
LOVE IT! Freaking love it. My favorite look of yours yet, probably because I’m so in love with the color green.
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Aww, thanks, Tatiana! Greens are a big fave for me, too :D
Thursday, May 28, 2009
That look makes me want to run out and buy everything you used on your eyes. I love the look and I can never have enough green =)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
LOL!
You can definitely never have enough greens!
Thanks, Ashlee :D
Thursday, May 28, 2009

Love greens on you :)
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks so much, Miss M!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
beautiful! really flattering colours on you! esp the grotto liner…
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thank you, Aradhana! I love Grotto!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Gorgeous! Love this look! It’s funny, I did a simple green look yesterday as well [Greenstroke paintpot on lid, Juxt on lid, Humid in crease, UD Midnight Cowgirl (like Nylon) to highlight]. It’s really good when a simple eye make-up look turns out really nicely!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Saira – so funny you mention this look of yours cause I rock the same look quite often. i really like it! greenstroke pp, juxt on lid & humid in crease. only difference is i sometimes use gorgeous gold to blend out just above crease & use femme fi as my highlight. great minds think alike ;) LOL

It’s really cool when you find a nice simple, colourful look that works, isn’t it? I might have to try a light gold-toned eyeshadow as you suggested, just to try something new with it.
Friday, May 29, 2009
It is! One more look to add to the go-to list when you run out of ideas (or time!) :D
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks, Saira!
Ohh, that’s pretty! I don’t think I have Greenstroke any more, otherwise I might have had to copy!
Friday, May 29, 2009
That’s a shame that you don’t have Greenstroke anymore. Am sure there’s an alternative green base colour you could use. I really like Greenstroke, as it gives a subtle hint of green colour beneath the eyeshadows.
Friday, May 29, 2009
I really didn’t take to the majority of the paint pots — I pretty much only like Soft Ochre paint pot! I know, I’m terrible!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Love it!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks, Lisa!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
you look lovely :D
as soon as i get some moolah in my hands, i m buying the eyeshadows AND brave new bronze…for this look :D
Thursday, May 28, 2009
Thanks so much, Vandana! Aww!! I hope you get money soon then!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
That grotto liner looks beautiful. How does it hold up on your waterline? I’m considering getting it, but it depends on the longevity.
Thursday, May 28, 2009
It holds up a bit, but nothing stays 100% on my waterline. I get about 3-4 hours!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
That was gonna be my question too…is one of the UD 24/7 colors anything similar?
Friday, May 29, 2009
IMO, not really. Grotto is unique amongst my stash of eyeliners :(
Thursday, May 28, 2009
love it!!!<3
Friday, May 29, 2009
Thanks, Andi!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
This look is jaw dropping beautiful! I’m going to do it tomorrow! Thanks for the inspiration! I love the way you’ve separated the Eyes, Cheeks, Lips stuff btw in the post – it looks really nice!
Friday, May 29, 2009
Thanks so much, Heather :) I am always honored to inspire!
Thursday, May 28, 2009
This look is so fun! totally gorgeous:) i love greens and i must get that Juxt eyeshadow…my problem is, whenever i do a look, i don’t achieve to get that boundary of colors just like yours:((…mine always look like all the colors are so smoked up and mudded down, lol! i really need to work on my blending skills:(
anyways, lovely work as usual:) thanks for sharing your talent to us <3
Friday, May 29, 2009
Really love this look. I have Juxt, I’ll have to see if they have Bottle Green on EBay, I can’t get stuff from MAC Pro.
Friday, May 29, 2009
Thanks! I hope you can track it down. It really is a fantastic shade!
Friday, May 29, 2009
Ah, found it…but with all the collections coming out in July, who knows when I’ll have money. Thank God my birthday in July, I just might be able to get everything I want. =P

Yay for birthday monies <3

Saturday, May 30, 2009
