Guerlain Gentiane Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick ($45.00) is a smooth, lightly shimmered rose. This is exactly what I picture when I think of a rose lipstick. It’s pigmented, goes on opaque in just one layer, and it feels amazing (as all Rouge Gs do). It’s soft color that looks feminine and very wearable for a variety of skin tones.
This is definitely one of my favorite shades from the Rouge G line that I’ve tried, because it’s a color that works on so many levels. You can wear it alone, for the everyday, with a smoky eye, or with a neutral eye. It’s versatile, and I can appreciate a lip color that I can work into my look wardrobe with no fuss.
Of course, the price is steep, so this isn’t a product for everyone!

If I could only buy one lipstick from Guerlain, I would buy all of them. Lol, but IF I reallllly had to choose I would pick this one.

Mm mm, sublime! Christine, you really do look very good in orange reds. Could you do a basic look with Coromandel if you have time? I just bought that and Dragon, and I’d love to see what you’d do with Coromandel.
Christine that looks absolutely incredible on you. Looks like a winner to me–unique color, moisturizing. I respect your right to give it B+ of course, but to me it looks l like an “A”!

This is an amazing colour, I love it on you! If I had the funds to splurge, it would be on this item. I do have a $20 credit at Sephora expiring on Monday though…this may just be what I’ll use it on.
I was gonna use my $20 credit on one of the Rouge Gs, too! (I wanted a backup of Gems, but it wasn’t online at Sephora, so boo!)
