Fun Makeup: Clear Sky Blue

Fun Makeup:  Clear Sky Blue

I really, really wanted to play around with Clear Sky Blue pigment.  What better way than to use it as a base?  It’s actually one of the nicer matte pigments to use–some of them can be finicky, but this one’s a champ when used wet.

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249.   With the 242, apply Clear Sky Blue pigment onto the lid with water-based mixing medium.  Using the 239, apply Aquarius eyeshadow on the inner third of the lid and pull upwards along the inner crease. Lightly blend Dashiki eyeshadow on the middle of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Atlantic Blue eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid. Define the crease with Atlantic Blue eyeshadow and the 226. Blend Brule eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Deviant liner on the lower lash line., and then smudging Atlantic Blue eyeshadow on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Sugarbomb blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.

For lips, apply Chintz lipstick first, and then layer Petite Peche glossimer for a complementing lip.

This is absolutely beautiful, Christine! Hope all is well with you. x.

Thanks, Sash! Hope you're doing well too :)

Hey in your video you mentioned something about mac cotton swabs dipped in makeup remover...where can you buy them ..i haven't seen them at mac

They're MAC Cleansing Tips - I grabbed mine from the freestanding store, I believe!

Wow I love this look! Did you use the same techniques as in your Urban Decay Naked smokey eye? Just wondering cause I work better with visual tutorials.

Thanks, Corinne! Not quite - but I put a tutorial up!

like the color, but not on you! i don't wanna be rude, you look great in other colors but not blue! (it's also a tricky color) it's a great look though :)

Sorry you don't like blue on me - it's one of my favorites on myself!

I just LOVE how vibrant this is!!!!

Love it Christine. And I love the blush too! Very nice indeeeeeeeed. :)

I love your headband! do you happen to remember where its from?

Lovely. I also love it when you do a more neutral eye, and line botton of eye with blue.

Yay this is the look from your video I love it! lovely lip color.

WOW -- this is gorgeous, Christine! Clear Sky Blue literally looks like it's *glowing*, it's so bright. I love it :D

I know, right? LOVE the color of it!!

I love that you used shimmers over the matte! It made a great texture! Just the right ammount of shimmer! Love it!

Thanks a lot, Mariah! I really liked how the shimmers worked over the matte base, too :D

wow! that is so gorgeous! i think this is my fav look that you've done so far. LOVE IT!

I love it! I love seeing blue looks :) Heck, I just love to wear blue. You look lovely!

Haha! Love blue, too. Thanks, Phyrra!

so weird, i tried like a same-looking look a few ays ago with pink o-o

This color looks amazing with your eye color... I have a sample of clear sky blue, but cannot get it to look this pretty... I see you used a mixing medium... I will have to try that...for some reason, I have such a hard time using the matte MAC pigments.... beautiful look!!!

Thanks a lot, Melissa! :) Mixing Medium is AMAZING with pigments!

Christine do you match your eyeshadow to your outfit or do you sometimes go with whatever your mood is for that day?

I match my *clothes* to my makeup - so I go with whatever I want makeup-wise, and then I choose clothes!

LOL I always thought I was the only one who did that.

Wow that's bright! But then again I saw some crazy looks at IMATS last weekend so this seems pretty sober comparatively. I love how vibrant the blues are!

Thanks, Sejal! LOL, you know you've been to IMATs if THIS is sober!

Woooow thats a beautyfull blue look :-) xxx Ilja

So beautiful! You make me wanna play with blue - I haven't touched anything blue since it got hot here.
