Colorful Makeup: Green, Teal, & Blue
I envisioned a green, teal, and blue combination, and I really went from there for this look. I’m also trying to work on using permanent or recently released products in my looks, so, even though it was unplanned and totally coincidental, this look is very much like the theme of Build-a-Quad: “The Tropics.”
Happy Monday! I usually love Mondays, but it’s my first day back at school since I’ve been on winter break for the past two weeks… sigh. It’s so hard to get back into the swing of things, you know? Boo school!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: MAC Teal Pigment (teal base), MAC Juxt Eyeshadow (soft spring-y green), MAC Shimmermoss Eyeshadow (teal), MAC Freshwater Eyeshadow (blue), MAC Deep Truth Eyeshadow (dark blue), MAC Gorgeous Gold Eyeshadow (green-toned gold), MAC Femme-fi Eyeshadow (neutral highlighter), Urban Decay El Dorado 24/7 Liner (gold), Chanel Exceptionnel Mascara (black)
- Face: Kiehl’s Tinted Moisturizer (medium)
- Cheeks: Benefit Sugarbomb Powder (peachy-pink)
- Lips: MAC Freckletone Lipstick (peach-toned nude), NARS Orgasm Lipgloss (sheer peachy-pink shimmer)
- Brushes: 266 (firm, angled brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 217 (fluffy blending brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 214 (smudge brush), 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
- Substitutes: Femme-fi = Shroom
For eyes, start by putting a drop of water-based mixing medium (or water) on your brush, then apply Teal pigment as your eyeshadow base all over the lid with the 249. Using the 239, apply Juxt eyeshadow on the inner third of the eyelid. Next, apply Shimmermoss eyeeshadow on the middle third of the eyelid and lightly blend with the inner corner. Darken the outer third of the lid with Freshwater eyeshadow with the 239, gently brushing it into the lower crease. Next, define the crease by applying Deep Truth eyeshadow with the 226. Lightly tap and brush Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow directly above the crease to soften. With the 217, gently apply Gorgeous Gold eyeshadow above the innerlid and towards the brow bone. To finish the eyeshadow look, sweep Femme-fi eyeshadow as a highlighter on the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying El Dorado Liner on the lower lash line and sweeping lashes with Exceptionnel mascara.
For cheeks, apply Sugarbomb to the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116.
For lips, apply Freckletone lipstick first, and then layer Orgasm lipgloss for a glossy lip look.

this is pretty, i wish we could get a throwback christine look though, you know the one where you take the color up to the brow.....either way, this look is very gorgeous!
Hai (PS i'm from holland so my english is pretty bad (13 years old)) i love this look !! You are a real artist! xxxx loves xxxxx in dutch: hai (PS ik kom uit nederland dus mijn engels is niet zo goed (13 jaar oud)) i hou van deze look!! Jij bent een echte kunstenaar! xxxx hou van je xxxxx
Christine, I've seen you use UD El Dorado in several looks. It's gorgeous and I would like to buy it, but I cannot find it sold individally. Is it only available as part of the 24/7 Super Stash?
Unfortunately, it looks like it :( UD made 4 24/7 liners from the new shades into their permanent line, but it's just Binge, Crash, Mildew, and Oil Slick - no El Dorado :(
OOOMMMGGG!! Christine! You did a great job!! I'm so in love with this look. I have to say U READ MY MIND about this! I wrote at the Freckletyone Pst that i'd love to see looks with this lipstick... and HERE'S!! also when i woke up i though "freckeltone would be nice with something teal... i hope Christine could do something with this stuff" what i see tonight... is like a... OMG! Thankyou! Pd. about the freckletone... i bought the lipstick today! hehehe
This is gorgeous! I love this bold look, I've been stuck in neutral look rut I guess and this is refreshing lol.
That is absolutely gorgeous. I need to try that. It's too bad I don't have the stuff I'd need. Looks like it's time for a trip to MAC. =]
Hey Christine! This look is lovely, as always...first of all, I wanted to let you know how lovely El Dorado looks on you! I keep seeing it in your looks and it always looks so good! Like you, I'm in love with the whole gold-khaki family of colours and I love how you wear them as a pop of colour on your lower lashline, but I was just wondering...do you have a strategy that you use to apply them to the lower lashline? For some reason, UD 24/7 liners are so creamy that when I apply them they kind of get all gunked up between my lower eyelashes. Thanks for your help!
I look upwards a little bit when I apply it, but otherwise... not much else! Oh, keep 'em sharpened, too!
May i borrow your eyes:)?? I love them so much...everything looks so great on you! I dont like mine:( greetz
I always love the lips you do in your looks. They inspire me to be more creative when I do makeup (lipwise I mean). :)
OOOH! These are my favorite types of looks from you! They're just gorgeous! Love the use of color and it suits you perfectly! Very inspiring! :D
Love it!! Beautiful!! I'd love to wear teal, but damn my blue/green eyes lol. Maybe I should try? Loving the look of that freckletone lipstick......am into the nudes at the mo', wondering if its too dark for me? I tend to dislike more browny nudes, they look like mud on me lol One of my fave looks!!
