Love these.I have Mega Melon, but it’s not a muted mauve… It’s a warm rose/coral, with a hint of gold.

  2. Mariella

I love the looks of these but am I right in guessing that they need to be sharpened?  I HATE sharpening pencils, especially cream lip products since even with the best sharpeners, there is still lots of waste and mess. I’d much rather have a twist up design….if these are twist up, I’ll be buying them; if not, I’ll pass.

    • Lilah

@Mariella They are twist up, no sharpening.

    • Val

Then you are in luck….they are twist up!

    • p0stblue

@Mariella They self sharpen as they twist up if that makes sense! I have a few of these (super strawberry, chunky cherry – which is similar to viva glam cyndi! & mega melon – which is very peachy in real life) they are gorgeous :)

    • ButterflyMod

@Mariella They are twist up at the bottom, not sharpened like the Nars matte and shine pencils are.

    • EnchantedDaisy

@Mariella They are, in fact, twist up :)

A new release that I’m excited about! It seems to me that Clinique is always underrated in the makeup world. They actually have very good quality for the price.

  4. Chelsea

Are you going to do a review of the new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains? Their packaging is very similar (obviously not the stain part) to the Chubbies and I’m wondering how they stand up?

    • Claire

It seems like everyone’s loving those so far. Let’s hope they don’t start a new craze like the Lip Butters, I want to actually be able to find some..

  5. Alix

Why would something called Mega Melon actually be a mauve? Who names these things?

  6. mindysue81

They don’t need to be sharpened.. They twist up like a lip balm.. I’m super excited about these. I have a few of the old colors and I’m itching to get the orange, fuschia and plum.

  7. Teiva Campbell

I tried these and was not impressed. Too sheer. The Tarte ones are a lot are the new Revlon ones!

  8. Moose Green

Have a couple Tarte and four Revlon ones. These packages sure could fool anyone, they are all the same, might as well get Revlon for ~$8.

  9. Charisa Beebe

i find that they go on nice and smooth, but then they are a bit drying…

  10. Makaegan

Hazelnut, Violet, Orange, Mimosa and Melon <3 I’ve always liked Clinique and it’s sad how they don’t get as much praise as other brands.

  11. Sarahlou

Pudgy peony, curved candy … seriously who names these things, it just doesn’t make sense to me. I must admit thought that I’m excited about the new colours :)

  12. cksakai

Haha what is with these names? Oversized Orange? Two ton Tomato?

  13. Kayla

Related but unrelated… Christine, will you review the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains? Pretty please! Even after other bloggers have done reviews, I don’t fully trust a product (or ANY other swatches) until you review it.

  14. Tina Nguyen

They aren’t as moisturizing as they claim to be and I really love clinique

  15. Gina Creatura

I totally agree with Charisa and Tina! I find them to be really drying on me. Everyone raves about them, so it’s good to hear that I’m not alone.

  16. NEW CHUBBY STICKS! Hurray!! 😀

  17. Melissa Wong

Whoa look at all those Chubby Sticks!!!

  18. michsimm136

I just bought 3 of these and I love, love, love them.  Perfect for summer. They go on smoothly, feel lush and moisterizing and the color is not overwhelming.  At $16 each, you can play, mix and build with these colors.

  19. EnchantedDaisy

I got the Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry in one of their bonus bags with purchase. I didn’t really know much about it but I will definitely purchase the full-size when I use this one up! It is so moisturizing and smooth and stays on for hours. It has good color payoff, too!

  20. I’m glad to see they’ve bought out more pink shades. I hate wearing browns and I felt very limited before because of that especially because it’s a brilliant product!

  21. I can’t wait to check these out!
