Is it just me but chanel eyeshadows have very little color pay off :(
I have the summer 2009 quad Plein Soleil and I have to really make an effort to used it and I have to scratch the surface of the eyeshadow to have some powder on my brush. Love the colors but is not worth it I prefer Dior and Guerlain eyeshadow hands down.

agreed. the colours are often pretty, but the actual quality isnt worth the price. i find guerlain good, but i also like givenchy :)

I agree. There pretty chalky. MAC’s shadows are much smoother with better color payoff and price tag. I do have one Chanel quad, but it’ll be my last because of its consistency.

Not the most exciting collection, but looks very wearable and that highlighter is tempting!

I like this. sandy but also purpleish – at least the eye shadows. and the taupe polish; looks like it’ll be even better than OPI you don’t know jaques!

this collection looks kind of boring. the promo product pictures kind of remind me guerlain’s terracota collection. i think the product pics are beautiful but the look on the model couldn’t be more boring.

however, i will be looking into the nail polishes as always. chanel nail polishes are one of my weaknesses. i’d love to see the pink and the grey one up close. so far, i do not have a grey colored polish. i wanted to love OPI’s metro chic because everyone raves about it but it looks like sludge on my fingernails. i think it just didn’t go well with my skin coloring.

i’ve also been holding out on buying a chanel glossimer and i have been waiting for the perfect pink shade. this collection may contain the one that will unloose my purse strings. we shall see…

No problem with the neutral/bare makeup colors, but did the model’s hair have to match? It looks positively dusty, blech.

Every now and then I’m ”haunted” by that Chanel red lipstick Dragon !!
It’s so expensive, but bloody hell, it’s so gorgeous !!!!

Hmmm…kind of boring. The eyeshadow and highlighter look like they have potential but the quality of Chanel is hit or miss. They should introduce some more RA Laques (yes I know they just got introduced like two months ago but I would love to see more colors)…

I absolutely love this collection! When I saw Chanel s/s 2010 show, I fell in love with the makeup immediately. I need everything here, except probably the lipsticks. As for the nail polishes, I will decide after seeing them IRL and see how much I love them. This is very exciting and I have to save all my money for the collection.

Hm… while I love the natural look and this entire collection, I wouldn’t go for the eyeshadow palette just because Chanel is known for weakly pigmented eyeshadows. However, I am in LOVE with the gray/beige lacquer, and I might get the pink one for my mom =). Everything else is a little too neutral for me, since my lips are naturally a dark rose colour and I already trust NARS for blush.

I like the color of the blush but I need to see a close up pic.

My kind of colours! Funny thing is, I already liked these colours even before Chanel decided to put it in this 2010 collection. =] I even already have the similar/same colour as the model’s nails… hehehe

These are nice colors from Chanel, but I get the feeling they are playing it safe…nothing cutting edge…wonder why.

The collection looks beautiful, but not very original. On a side note, the nail polish dent right at the end of the pic looks like “the one that got away!” =D

Not calling my name with this one… I do like Chanel lip gloss and lip sticks a lot, however the eye shadows is my problem. It look so georgeous in the packaging, but the color are NOT pigmented at all. I expect more for the price.

They look nice but not really stand-out considering the price of Chanel. I will probably check them out and then find the same colors for less $.
