Chanel June Le Vernis
Chanel Spring 2012: Chanel June Le Vernis
Chanel June Le Vernis ($25.00 for 0.40 fl. oz.) is described as a “pastel apricot.” This is a limited edition shade (whereas the other two spring lacquers were not listed as limited). It’s a creamy, lightened orange that’s opaque in two coats. It reminded me of a Creamsicle. China Glaze Peachykeen was the closest dupe I could think of, but it reads less orange. China Glaze Papaya Punch is much, much more intense, brighter, and deeper, but continues in a similar vein.
The formula on this one is good; pigmented enough to deliver opaque color coverage in two coats. It’s not too thick or thin, so it covers the nail evenly without pooling or bubbling. The drying time seemed average (unlike May), which is always nice. I usually get a week of wear with minor tip wear but no chips with Chanel’s formula.
Where to Buy: Nordstrom, $25
The Glossover
The three spring lacquers from Chanel have been really nice, and June is no exception. The formula seems to be at its best with these three--smooth, even, pigmented, fluid.

Product & Review FAQ
Where can I purchase it? How much is it?
Nordstrom, $25.
Is it limited edition?
Yes.
Any dupes?
China Glaze Peachykeen was the closest dupe I could think of, but it reads less orange. China Glaze Papaya Punch is much, much more intense, brighter, and deeper, but continues in a similar vein.
I found an amazing dupe!! In Essence's new line 'marble madness' called peaches! And all for 1,79 euros!
The colour looks gorgeous on your nails. It looks like the perfect peach shade to match my new similarly coloured jumper. I'm a great fan of Chanel polishes.
sadly, the price of all Chanel polishes went up on Nordstrom to $26, i don't know if it's the same elsewhere, but it was a little annoying when a week ago it was $25...
Looks kinda like a muted/paler version of Zoya Jancyn, IMO. Conveniently, I just got a bottle of that, haha, so my "summery oranges" itch is scratched already :) That price, especially - oy vey, does that hurt me. I passed on Peridot even though it's my birthstone and despite the multichrome awesomeness simply because of that little stickler point.
this is really pretty~~~ but i think it's too expensive for me...i usually do not spend over 15 dollars for a nail polish...sigh
by the way~~~ I went to macy's and saw this in person~ and......I bought it hahahahha (This is probably my biggest nail polish splurge) I always buy more things if they are limited edition (I'm afraid that they are going to run out if I don't buy them right away) I like the other two polishes too but since they are not limited edition I feel like I can wait a little bit.
Nice color but there is nothing so unique about it that would make me wanna spend $25 on it. I purchased Peridot a few months ago because the color was so beautiful and unique that it was definitely worth the investment.
This is a quite unusual shade, but I don't think I could wear it. It seems too light for my fair skin.
OMG WANT. Mostly because June is my middle name, but still, it's so pretty! I may have to save up and get a bottle.
OH MAN. I really want this -le sigh- I may have to cave and buy my first Chanel polish. It's gorgeousss and I'm such a sucker for peach.
no way! i ordered this on nordstrom.com and tried it on for a week but i didn't like it at all so i ended up returning it..but it looks so nice on your nails! :(
Aaahh~ I've been obsessed with this one for a long time since I happen to have a jelly sandal of this color. I can't wait for summer to come again. Thank you for the great swatch :)
Oh wow! I didn't think this color would look nice when I first saw it in the bottle in person. But It actually looks quite lovely on the nails!
This shade reminds me of an old bridesmaid dress my mom had! It feels very spring-y to me, I would definitely wear this, especially since June is my birth month!
i just bought this yesterday...it looks so fresh and lovely! :D oh i had a question...by any chance is the comments on the mobile site ever going to work again? thanks!
I'm not sure how this will look on my skin (pinky), but it seems so pretty and it definitely looks to be the most original of the three Spring shades. I might have to take a chance on it...
If you do, report back on how it works with your skin tone! :) I envision it working, if only because it has this really creamy, light look to it.
this is beautiful! I vowed never to spend more than $12 on a polish but...I have nothing like this in my collection!
:O Amazed by the prettiness! Is it me, or usually the best things are LE? Can't even find the dupe as they don't sell China Glaze in Spain and am currently on an Ebay strict diet :( Oh well thanks to you at least I get to look at very good swatches, thanks! :)
This colour looks nice on your nails... but I still prefer Chanel April! :P (from this collection). Now I can't wait to see them, all three!!!! ^__^
