Benefit Powderazzi ($30.00 for 3 0.10 oz. powders) is part of Benefit’s holiday offerings, and it features three shades of their popular powders: CORALista, Dallas, and Hoola.

This past summer, I reviewed and adored Benefit’s CORALista powder, which is a soft, pinky-coral with subtle sheen. I loved it then, and I still love it now. It’s particularly flattering on my warm-toned skin, and I’ve always been a big fan of wearing coral. I’m glad they chose to include it in their powder trio this year!

Also featured is Hoola, which is a matte medium dark cocoa brown meant to be used as a bronzer. I rarely wear bronzer, but when I do, I tend to gravitate towards very lightly shimmered or matte shades, like Hoola. Hoola also feels more like a neutral shade, so it’s something that has more universal appeal.

The third shade in this trio is Dallas, which is a plummy color with kind of a dirty feel. It reminded me a bit of MAC’s Marign blush, but more on the plum side. It’s not as shimmery as CORALista, but it definitely has a sheen and shimmer to it. I think this is a great shade for the fall/winter, where darker cheeks always feel more appropriate (to me, at least).

The packaging is typical Benefit — cute print on cardboard packaging. I don’t tote my makeup around very often, so I don’t mind cardboard packaging. Others who often toss products into their bag may find the cardboard will take a beating, though it probably won’t disintegrate or anything–it just won’t look perfect.

As far as size goes, you get 0.3 oz. of product total in this kit, and each full-size Benefit powder goes for $28 for 0.4 oz. You’re paying a little extra to be able to try three shades at once rather than picking up one huge-sized powder. This is a good opportunity to try three shades without having to purchase all three separately. If you find you love any of the three enough that you actually finish it, the full-size is available to you.

  • Product: 28/30
  • Value: 9/10
  • Ease of Use: 4/5
  • Packaging: 4/5

Recommendation: If you’ve wanted to try out Benefit’s powders in the past but haven’t wanted to fork over the money for each one, this trio may prove a better chance for you to try a variety of colors instead.

These are my 3 favourite powders by Benefit Cosmetics! I have the full sizes anyway (& love them) but I bought this to travel with. :-)

  2. Jennifer

Wow, if only I knew where an Ulta is around here.

At any rate I’m so buying Coralista and Dandellion for xmas.

  3. Elie

Is it only at Ulta and not Benefit counters or Sephora? Ugh! I was actually going to buy 2 out of the three this weekend at Sephora! LOL

  4. kat

I got their blush trio two years ago (I think?) and it is still amazing! Running out of dallas and dandelion, but the hoola I rarely use!

  5. I just ADORE Hoola!! This is hot though..cuz I’ve always wanted to try Coralist. Hopefully Ulta will have some good sales going on. Too bad it’s not available at Sephora, I’d so get it.
    Thanks for the review.

Aww if this set came out sooner I would have gotten this instead of buying the full size versions of Dallas and Coralista!

This is my favourite Benefit set for this year because I like all the powders in it. I have had some Benefit Powders from 5-6 years ago and the box is not pristine but still in pretty good shape. In addition, I haven’t even hit pan on the full size individual powders yet! So they last forever.

How do you think these would look on someone who is an NC45-50? I am scared that the colors will not be vibrant on my skin tone.

  9. Vanessa

I’ll DEFINITELY be looking into this set! I’ve been wanting to try Benefit’s blushes and this is the perfect set, as I was looking into ALL of these colors! Yay! Super excited!

  10. Jess

  12. Tricia

I am SOO upset that this is only being sold at Ulta. I never go there; I guess Im too loyal to Sephora lol.

  13. Lorna

i wish it were coralista, dandelion and the 10 one.

  14. JK

I already own Georgia, Dandelion, and Thrrrob! I love them all so much!!
I always wanted to try Hoola and Coralista! (Not excited about Dallas though..) I can’t wait for it to come out!! I hope they carry at Sephora too… There is no Ulta around my home

  15. Jennifer

I own each Benefit powder individually but I like this trio since its good for travelling! Thanks for the review, sadly it isn’t available in Sephora (?) :(

I rarely use Hoola but I adore Coralista & Dallas (!!)

  16. OMG they came out with a blush palette! I wonder if it’s still worth getting if I already have Coralista….

  17. Sandy

Thank you so much!!! I’ve been wanting to try coralista but at $28 for a single color I had decided to wait. Glad I did! I just purchased this on HSN and you can choose to make 2 payments of $15. Tis justified it for me since I dont’ NEED it, haha! :)

  18. kat

does anyone know if coralista and hoola similar to the laguna and orgasm bronzer?

Where can I find this? I don’t see it on the Ulta website or the Benefit Website. I need to buy this so I can try out their blushes. If I’m in love with NARS blushes should I even mess with these?

    • It should pop up in November – so probably the next week or so! I like these blushes as much as NARS, personally.

It just came up on ulta.com today! Go buy it! I did, and i am SO excited!!! They haven’t even come to stores yet. I called a few stores (in Chicago) and all of them said they won’t get them in for another 2-3 weeks so if you’re antsy, like me, order it online. Plus, right now they’re having free shipping with the code 37202, it’s good until tomorrow (11/07/09) so you should get on that now and the tax for ulta.com is less than the tax for the county i’m in so it’s even more awesome! Hope this was helpful!

I would love to buy this, but where i live i can’t buy Benefit products. do you know where i could get this set? I also don’t have sephora. :(

This comes to Ulta stores on Sunday, just in case any one was wondering :P

  22. ElleK7

Are these sold out now? I don’t see them on Ulta’s website. That was quick!

  23. Pikapika

These look great. I have a sample of Coralista but I’m thinking of getting the trio IF they are blendable with one another—which would give you tons of different colors.

Ever tried that? How did it come out?
