5-Minute Makeup: Subtle Sunset

5-Minute Makeup: Subtle Sunset
I wonder if you can sense a theme from last week… looks with a quickness! I think this look may have run a little over five minutes, but it was pretty quick. I think I missed a small patch on my lid, but luckily I noticed that after taking photos and fixed it, LOL!
How’s your Monday treating you so far? Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
You will need the following…
- Eyes: NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base (neutral eyeshadow base), MAC Goldmine Eyeshadow (gold), MAC Bronze Eyeshadow (bronze), MAC Cranberry Eyeshadow (cranberry), MAC Grain Eyeshadow (highlighter), Make Up For Ever #10L Aqua Eyes (bronze), MAC Plushlash Mascara (black)
- Face: Make Up For Ever HD Foundation (140), Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder (translucent)
- Cheeks: Le Metier de Beaute Echo Radiance Rouge (pinky-coral)
- Lips: Cle de Peau #101 Lipstick (coral), MAC Nymphette Lipglass (peachy-pink)
- Brushes: 249 (flat, firm brush), 239 (fluffy shadow brush), 226 (fluffy crease brush), 219 (pointed crease brush), 116 (dense blush brush)
For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Goldmine eyeshadow on the inner half of the lid. Apply Bronze eyeshadow on the outer half of the lid, then lightly blend Cranberry eyeshadow in the outer crease and very outer edge of the lid with the 226. Blend Grain eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone . Bring everything together by applying #10L liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.
For cheeks, apply Echo blush on the apples of the cheeks and smooth with fingertips.
For lips, apply #101 lipstick first, and then layer Nymphette lipglass for a complementing lip.

you know what christine? I think we can make that 4pc palette with your tutorials choices! It definitely takes the guesswork out of the 150 choices in front of us! Thanks for this look and keep up the good work!
Love it! I just got urban decay's gash and half baked in their bundle deal they have at Ulta right now, and do a similar look but with the gold all over and the red in the crease.
I love this!!! I just started to get the hang of eyeshadows so I'm "training" so to speak, and still building my eyeshadow collection... So I like simple looks with the wow-factor of the more complicated looks!
You look really good - you have that whole tumbled out of bed WITH perfect hair and makeup look going on :)
Hey! I wore a similar look today! (Except I switched the bronze and cranberry around and used gold liner.) You can never go wrong with golds!
Oh my god, Christine, I LOVE your hair in the photos! You should seriously wear your hair this way EVERYDAY, it looks so nice!
LOL! I didn't style it - that's kind of like brushed lightly after I've woken up, haha. 8 hours of styling at work!
Purrfect! P.S Christine pay attention to the right eyebrow,it's kind of thicker than the left one and misbehavin'?
Very soft and pretty! Funny, the first words that came to my brain were "warm and cozy." Hehe! I like it! You've been using Nymphette in a lot of the looks lately I've noticed! :)
Love it, I like quick looks in the summer! Your hair looks great christine! Is grain your favorite highlighter? I want to get one from MAC but not sure which. I'm nc20/25 for reference.
Thanks a lot, Meghan! :) Nope, Femme-fi is! There are SO many good ones to choose from... Shroom, Vanilla, Grain, Hush, Dazzlelight... but I think you'd like Shroom or Grain :)
Hi Christine, I really like this one. Quick looks are always good for days when you oversleep. Shame that warm colours really don't work for me. I've just bought MAC Steamy and whilst I really love it I'm struggling with ideas on how to use it. Could you do a look with it at some point please? No hurry, just add it to list of "to do, at some point". Thanks :-D
Thank you so much, Ally! :) Can't remember if I have Steamy or not. Did they discontinue it? But you could try it in place of Shimmermoss (I know I've done several looks with it!) - maybe with Gorgeous Gold on the lid, Steamy in the crease? Could put a blue like Freshwater or Deep Truth on the outer lid for fun, too.
Ally, you could use Steamy on the lid with Deep Truth in the crease, and Plumage to darken the crease. Or switch the blue for a purple like Nocturnelle or Satellite Dreams. Christine's idea is a very good one. Gold would look nice with Steamy. I don't know what your skin color or hair color is, but if these shades are too dark for you, you can use lighter shades that are in the same color family.
