Your “No Makeup” Makeup Looks, Part 1

Temptalia Readers Share Their “No Makeup” Makeup Looks!

It’s very exciting to see such an amazing turnout!  I loved seeing all of your looks!  I want to make sure every person who submitted (and met the requirements) gets a lil’ Temptalia air time, so I’ve broken submissions into four posts with everybody’s pretty face out in front.  Readers are shown in the order submissions were received.

Check out breakdowns for each reader’s look!

KELSEY is 28 years old and has been married for six years. She’s a teacher by day and a proud “mom” of two adorable kitties who currently resides in upstate New York. She’s not really into makeup, but she is a huge nail polish junkie. Her current top five include Orly Velvet Rope, Barielle Grape Escape, OPI Dutch Tulips, Orly Blue Collar, and China Glaze Outta Bounds.

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: I like that this makeup makes me look awake and polished but I still look totally natural and like “me.” It’s also really quick & simple to do, and the products are cheap (though good quality, I think) and easy to find. Plus, I still feel comfortable, which I don’t when I have a ton of makeup slathered on my face.

WHAT SHE USED: Sephora Mineral Double Compact Foundation SPF 10 (Warm Ivory), Nivea A Kiss of Shine Natural Glossy Lipcare, Maybelline Soft Black Full ‘n Soft Mascara, Flirt! Gold Envy and Golden Luster eyeshadows. Hair is air-dried and combed.

MIKA CHAN (aka Aijuswhanakno), who blogs over at aijuswhanakno.com is all about color.

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: I really like how my brows and contour turned out. This is something I have especially been working on improving.

WHAT SHE USED: On eyes, she used Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Coastal Scents Neutral 26 Shadow/Blush Palettee, Wet ‘n’ Wild Define Eyes Marker, Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara, L’Oreal H.I.P. Black Kohl Eyeliner, Clinique Deep Brown Eyebrow Pencil. On her face, she used Fyrinnae Velvet-Gel Silica Primer, NARS Tahoe Sheer Glow Foundation, Ben Nye Tattoo Coverall Wheel, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Medium Dark), Coastal Scents Neutral 26 Shadow/Blush Palette, MAC Soft & Gentle Mineralize Skinfinish to highlight. On lips, she used Aromaleigh Pink Grapefruit Parfait Lip Balm and MAC Wind Me Up Dare to Wear Lipglass.

RIANNA has had a passion for makeup for as long as she can remember. She looks forward to putting on her face everyday. She recently started a blog with her friend Bianca to share what she’s learned and to learn from others through it.

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: I love this look because it makes me look fresh and effortless. It doesn’t look like I put too much effort into fixing myself up for the day because it’s simple. The skin is glowing and flawless, and the entire look is completely natural looking!

WHAT SHE USED: For eyes, she used Coastatl Scents 28 Neutral Palette, MAC Teddy Eye Kohl, Maybelline Magnum Volum’Express Mascara, Revlon Brunette Brow Fantasy, MAC Saddle Eyeshadow. For face, she used Naturactor Concealer (140), MAC Studio Fix Fluid (NW35), Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil, Bare Escentuals Well Rested, The Body Shop Tinted Glow Enhancer, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish (Deep Dark), Becca Watermelon Beach Tint. For lips, she used MAC Boldly Bare Lip Pencil and MAC Revealing Lipglass.

RASHMI is a mother of a 2.5 year old son, and she just started writing a blog with the great support of her husband who admires her for pursuing and writing about her passion. She thanks him for all of the support and love!

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: I love how clean and clear I am looking. It’s not overpowering, but I am doing it justice as well. This was the one look I go to most of the time. I know I had to look natural, so what I needed is subtle color on cheeks and pinky lips, plus a little bit of eyeliner and mascara.

WHAT SHE USED: On eyes, she used Urban Decay Zero Eyeliner. On the face, she used tinted moisturizer and MAC Margin Blush. On lips, she used MAC Sweetie Lipstick. Her hair is combed with a wide-tooth comb while wet, then crunched on the bottom half to give a wavy effect.

JESSICA absolutely loves makeup but doesn’t consider herself a professional. She’s still learning and enjoys sharing what she knows about beauty, health, and fashion on her blog. She has one year left in nursing school and has a bachelor’s degree in Finance. She works full time at a bank and per diem at an Alzheimer Nursing Home (as a C.N.A.). She says, “Life is busy, but it’s never too busy for makeup!”

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: What I love about this look is how easy and simple it was, it gives me a nice glow and I don’t look over done.

WHAT SHE USED: On eyes, she used MAC Grain Eyeshadow on the lid and as a highlighter, MAC Soft Brown Eyeshadow in the crease, MAC Espresso Eyeshadow in the outer “V”, MAC Teddy Kohl on the waterline, and one coat of Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara. On cheeks, she used MAC Instant Chic Blush and MAC Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish to highlight. On lips, she wore MAC Jazzed Lipstick and MAC Fashion Whim Cremesheen Lipglass.

KELLY is a college student studying Computer Science and Biology. She enjoys experimenting with makeup and beauty products in her free time — and she says, “Yes, I really am that pale!”

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: What I love most about this look is that everything is applied very lightly, so no makeup will be sweating off during the 90 degree summer heat! I can go outdoors without any apprehension and not worry that my face is going to melt-off and scare children.

JAMIE is is a 28 year old from Surf City HB, California. She describes her life in a few words: “great husband, three jobs, makeup lust, and two Jack Russels.”

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HER LOOK: My take on a natural look brings out my eyes with minimal effort and almost no tools. That, is what I love about this look!
