my favorite smokey eye is purple. i love using the spiced chocolate quad from cult of cherry for this; sweet chestnut on the lid, blended over into nanogold on brow bone – doesn’t have to be harder than that 🙂 I sometimes add some spiced chocolate in the crease, though.

teal on the lid, medium dark brown on the crease, black on the outer crease, and cream as the highlight color…finish off with black eyeliner and shimmery color on the tearduct!…very pretty!

i love intense smokey eyes. i usually just line my eyes heavily and then smoke it out with “black tied” and then i use “all that glitters” to soften the edges. i finish it off by dabbing some “vanilla” pigment on the inner corner of my eyes and on my browbones.

Either a black base or darker shade of whatever colours i am using. So if i was wearing greens, I would use for example juxt all over the lid and Humid in the outer V and crease and blend the humid in2 the Juxt over the lid. I dont tend to use black as i find it a bit 2 harsh.

My favorite smokey eye is actually any colored smokey eye, especially purple. 2/3 of my lid will be purple with a matte gray in the outer v and the crease. Then a tan colored highlight. Also my eyes lined in black on the upper lid and lower lid.

My bluish smokey eye = Knight devine on lid, nehru in outer v & crease, dazzlelight as highlight. Black fluidline as liner. Sometimes I use freshwater or shimmermoss instead of knight devine. Give it some pop.

My favourite smoky eye usually consists of either a rich black or a nice gray and a really vivid purple buffed into the crease. It’s the best of both worlds, dark and sultry, but also bright and colorful.

My favorite smokey is greens and browns. I think it’s more interesting than the traditional flat greys and it gives more pop to brown eyes!

I’m a little scared of doing a smokey eye! My eyes are small and deep set, I think they kinda smoke themselves. I would like to see what they’d look like, if it can really suit me, and I think I’d probably like purple.

I wear a smokey brown eye. It consists of MAC Nanogold blended with MAC All That Glitters and then MAC Swiss Chocolate. MAC dipdown or blacktrack fluidline to line.

Fav smokey eye is brule on the lid, carbon in the outer v smoked out and dazzlelight as a highlight finished with lots of blacktrack fluidline and tons of mascara 🙂

I absolutely love any shadows in a combination of dark chocolate brown, pearl, and very dusky gold. It is really unexpected but beautiful!!!

My favorite smoky eye is in shades of purple and grey. I still am thankful for the day I learned a smoky eye didn’t need to be a bunch of black blended out to a gradient. Oh man, that was a mess. I can’t believe no one told me I looked like the loser of a fist fight!

Hi,
You know I love the classic grey smokey eye – but lately I have been rocking the 1 minute smokey look – smudged out tecknakohl black liner with a gun metal or matte charcoal on lid to crease – blended with lots of mascara but sometimes in my lazy days I like to do a more natural version – Benefits creaseless Honey Bunny or UD’s primer potion in Sin with a black or dark brown liner on upper lash line and lower lash line/water line smudged heavily. This only takes mere minutes but at least i looked somewhat made up and it’s my version of the sexy slept in look! =)

My fave smokey eye colors consist of browns used in the 26 neutral palette. I love that palette because I have many neutral colors to choose from to make a brown smokey eye.

I love a neutral smokey eye because if I do end up going out at night I can add just a little bit of carbon or a deep dark brown it will look a lot more dramatic!

For my favorite smokey eye I like to use my Smashbox Eye Shadow Trio in Shutterspeed! It has a nice warm dark smoke color, a bone/vanilla color, and a shimmery nude. I look bad in cool colors and silver, so I usually opt for a warmer smokey eye. Also, you can’t forget the liner and lashes! I’ll use a cream liner as a base for a darker effect and lots of dark mascara!

My fav smokey eye: I have turquoisey eyes, so I use a cool-toned taupe and it makes them look electric. (Clue is a good colour for me) Then some darker liner and toooons of mascara. ***I’m subscribed to your RSS, TWITTER (Kella86), FORUMS (Kell), and I also tweeted that msg 🙂

Hi Christine!

My favorite smoky eye consists of bright purple eyeliner as a base (techno from Wet n Wild) then I take this milani eyeshadow that is bright purple(the name escapes me) on my middle of lid and then i use carbon on the outer eye and bring it up into the crease (and line my upper lash line with it wet). then i take woodwinked and put in on my inner lower lash line. it doesnt look as funky as it sounds, i promise! whew that was long, sorry.

I like my smokey eye to lean toward the warm side so I use dark browns and bronzes such as Satin Taupe, Concrete, Romp, and Twinks with Grain or Ricepaper for a matte highlight or Nylon for a shimmery highlight. Also I always use a darker paint base such as Constructivist or Quite Natural. 🙂 Yeah for Smoke and Diamonds – need to smoke my eye with this color!!

my fav smokey eye is one that makes you look subtely alluring and dramatic, but still natural! my smokey eye consists of:

MAC Pigment: Blue steel (beautiful deep blue + gold flecks)for the base colour on the lid & crease, then using MAC Eyeshadow: Henna (gorgeous goldy colour)on top of the Blue Steel on the crease, then using Afterglow Cosmetics: Fog (white, creamy colour) as the highlight colour right underneath the brow, then putting MAC Eyeshadow: Plumage (dark blue + teal colour)on the bottom lashline, then finishing off with some black sparkly eyeliner + mascara/fake lashes.

easy- 6-8min in the morning and you’re good to go- as well as looking absolutely gorgeous! i would love to be able to experiment with the new MAC: Smoke & Diamonds eyeshadow for another smokey eye look!

When I first got into makeup, I purchases the Stila Smokey Eye palatte which TALKS and tells you how to do a smokey eye. It has great greens and a shimmery highlight as well a a deep purple color. Perfect for my hazel eyes! I love it! 🙂

Not so great on smokey eyes, but there is one look that I’ve practiced a few times that looks pretty good. Use a neutral base.

Line lash line with Stila smudge pot in black and smudge
Line above that with L’Oreal HIP cream liner in EggPlant and smudge upwards
Blend Benefit cream shadow in Stiletto from the Eggplant over most of the lid and to the outer crease.

I actually have two fave smokey eye looks. One is using kajal to line the eyes, followed by black eyeshadow smudged out & the either turquoise or purple on the outer circles to soften the look. For a night out, I would do pretty much the same but to add some bling, I would pat on teal & green or purple & blue glitter onto the middle of the lids over the black eye shadow.

I like the smokey brown look. It’s more subtle than dark black smokey. I like using satin taupe all over the lid and using espresso on the outer v and on the bottom lash line.

bare canvas base
femme fi highlight
smoke & diamonds on the lid
carbon along the lash lines
blacktrack liner
2 coats zoomlash in black. 🙂

I always see this as a smokey look maybe blended in with satin taup and carbon with a pop of color with something like shadowy lady or most likely beauty mark to rim the eye. I would use Gingerly blush and any muted pink lippie. I really really would love this eyeshadow.
