We’re giving away one (1) MAC Date Night Dazzleglass from the limited edition MAC Double Dazzle Collection. Submit your entry by leaving a comment in this post and telling us why you want to win. Winner will be chosen randomly and notified via e-mail. This post will be updated with “winner chosen” when one has been chosen.

All entries must be submitted by April 15th, 2009 at 11:59 PM PST. That’s it! This contest is only open to all readers as pursuant to your local state/country’s laws.

He was waiting for me downstairs; I heard my father speak to him over the loud hum of the hair dryer. “What, exactly, are your intentions for my daughter?” his voice boomed.

Oh God, I thought, I have to get down there.

Still, there’s a fine balance to be struck between being beautiful and rescuing Prince Charming from my father’s best Torquemada impression. My moisturizer, Prep + Prime skin and line refiner already at work, I smoothed my NW20 Moistureblend foundation on as quickly as possible, stopping only to smudge a crease near my eyelid. I was applying the powder when I heard my father say, “Did you buy condoms for this evening?”

Oh crap!

I quickly blended Naked Lunch, Shroom, and Kid onto my eyelid; no time for liquid liner, I pulled out the pencil and did a quick black line followed by some Zoom Lash — the falsies would have to wait for next time. If there was a next time. Cubic next, in quick round sweeps from cheekbone to temple, then– Oh God! Lippies!

I looked, frantic, for something to save my date night, but none leaped forward as an available solution to the growing woe. My usual lipsticks and lip glasses — I favor underage and California Dreamin’ were too pale, and Russian Red would take too long. I needed a Dazzleglass — something to stand out, something to wow him without taking years to put on, something that would pop against the quick but neutral face I’d put on.

“You know I own a shotgun,” my father said.

Oh God, what I wouldn’t give for a simple Date Night.
