MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie , served as the key make up artist for the Mara Hoffman swim show on Saturday, July 17th. This season, Hoffman’s muse goes on a mystical journey through the jungle, visiting crystal caves, rivers, oceans; a tongue-in-cheek Amazonian tribeswoman in a bikini following her White Horse spirit guide. Lottie took her inspiration from the bold swimwear, creating a “spacey” tribal make up look with bright accents of fuchsia and turquoise that put the focus on the eyes.
Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek. Aqua Cream #7 in Fuchsia was applied lightly to the cheeks and blended heavily so only a slight pink flush remained.
Eyes: To create this tribal chic make up look, Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #4 in white to the entire lid, up to the brow bone, blending it out. The eyes were defined using MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes #0L in black on the bottom lash line only, and then MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash on both the top and bottom. Using a lip brush for added precision, Lottie drew small white dots at the top of the cheek bones starting from the outer corner of the eyes and over the blower bridge of the nose, following the natural shape of the eyes.
Lips: Lottie applied Lipstick #502, a matte nude lipstick, to keep the focus on the eyes.

MAKE UP FOR EVER ALLIANCE artist, Lottie, created two beautiful make up looks for models at the Aqua Di Lara and Qiss Qiss swim show on Saturday, July 17th. The first look designed for Aqua Di Lara featured champagne and earth tones on the eyes with shimmery, metallic highlights. As a contrast, the models for Qiss Qiss had a defined eye with a rose pink contour and glossy pink lips. Both looks were glamorous and beautiful.
Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed with highlights.
Eyes: Lottie first applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #14 to the outer corners of the lids and blended inward. Next she applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #17 to the crease and then dusted the outer corners and crease with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #930 to add a golden brown shimmer. The inner corner of the eyes were then dusted with MAKE UP FOR EVER Star Powder #946 to add a lighter dimension of shimmer. The eyes were lined with MAKE UP FOR EVER Waterproof Liner #1 in black and the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash.
Lips: For a shimmery nude lip, Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Fascinating Lip Gloss #16 as the finishing touch.

Complexion & Cheeks: The cheeks were highlighted with MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Microfinish Blush #6 to add a soft pink glow.
Eyes: Lottie applied MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Cream #16 to eye lid blending it into the crease and up to the brow bone. Next MAKE UP FOR EVER Eye Shadow #132 is swept onto the entire lid, crease and extended to the brow bone. MAKE UP FOR EVER Waterproof Liner #1 in black is applied to the top and bottom of each lash line. To finish, the lashes were coated with MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Smoky Lash.
Lips: Lottie created a glossy, rosy lip by applying MAKE UP FOR EVER Lipstick #423 and topping it with Fascinating Lip Gloss #9.

My favorite look was from Aqui Di Lara. It’s so gorgeous and more importantly, it’s a look that pretty much anyone can pull off (plus, it looks easy to replicate!).
LOVE the look at Mara Hoffman. If only because the eye, and the overall earthyness of it would be GORGEOUS for a casual night out or a date with my man. I’d probably edit out the tribal dots though.
I like the mara hoffman one. But then, little costume-y details like the white line draped across the face just catch my attention RIGHT off!
The glitter for the Aqui di Lara one(spelling?) is eye catching too. I just love the white dots though. Geometry in makeup is SO striking!

The Mara Hoffman look is gorgeous. I am not a fan of shimmery bronzes because it can make a girl look super tired and run down very easily.
I think the look @ Mara Hoffman was the best because it was the most unique.
I liked the Quiss Quiss look the best because I think the application of that look was better than the others 😀
I think the idea of the white dots in the Mara Hoffmann look was neat though 🙂

my favorites gotta be the tribal look from mara hoffman. paired with the super neutral eye it looks very innocent and playful.
