NARS used to make a double-ended liquid cream lipstick and gloss. The one I loved featured Turkish Delight gloss paired with a gorgeous pinky-red called “Sayonara.” With a lot of assistance and effort, I found a dupe for that colour in a Bite pencil named “Mertiage.” I was so happy!

It’s not an exact dupe for Chanel Notorious, only about 90% similar, but Sephora Contour in Tranquil is a grayish brown, and one of the very few cool-toned contours out there. Since I’m cool-toned, most contours look too warm and orangey on me, but Tranquil is the most natural-looking, mimics shadows, and it’s only $15. I got 1 and a backup too in case they ever DC it.

What an excellent question! Problem is, I am utterly stumped, LoL!
If anyone DOES know of a spot-on dupe for MAC Folie eye-shadow, please pass this it along, ok? Love that one and use it a lot. I really thought ABH Hot Chocolate was, and it is close, but lacks that subtle plummy undercurrent that I love in Folie. I will attempt to buy a backup, IF they have any around these parts. Nehru, too.
Man, I hate it when they DC a perfectly great workhorse product!!!

Ulta makes a great product called raincoat mascara. It’s a mascara top coat that waterproof whatever you are using under it. It’s fantastic! I love that I can still use my favorite mascara on my bottom lashes and just top it with raincoat. I, too have a horrible time with mascara smudging on my under eye.

I have used Clarins Double Fix for years. I always make sure I have an extra tube on standby, as I never want to run out of it. It makes any mascara waterproof. I even use a tiny bit to keep my eyebrows in place. Love it! I hope it works just as well for you. 🙂

The Double Fix probably is waterproof, but it’s not completely oilproof, lol. By itself it’s not working on my lower lashes; it seems that putting it over a waterproof mascara may.

Hello Waffle (indie brand) has a lovely blush called Blush Honey that was made to be an alternative to Nars Doucer. I never owned the Nars, but had been looking for something similar and absolutely love Hello Waffle’s take on it. Quickly became my HG neutral blush and for much cheaper than Nars!

That blush Hello Waffle is only $9.79 on their website! I looked – I may have to give it a try for that price! Thanks for the tip Laura.

I still have my bottle of Chanel Peridot!

MAC made an eyeshadow “Mink and Sable”. (It looks like Peridot!) Was it in the same collection as “Smoke and Diamonds”? Love that shadow.

No dupes, just past loves.

Try Stila’s Irma La Douce. The MAC Starflash collection was considered to dupe Stila’s eyeshadows so the formula is really similar. As noted above, Smoke & Diamonds is a dupe for Stila’s Diamond Lil. I agree, these are great shadows.

I hope there will be a dupe for Chanel’s Malice nail lacquer (or, that they will bring it back!). Bought Essie’s Life of the Party, which I hope will be similar—need to try it out. Haven’t tried Chanel’s Peridot, but OPI’s Just Spotted the Lizard has a great formula.
Maybelline’s Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser seems to share the brightening properties of By Terry’s Touché Veloutée (colour lightens slightly as it spreads), but By Terry’s formula is thinner.

Loved Chanel velvet matte La Caline. Now discontinued. Instead using Chanel La Raffinnee; or Mac Mehr. Almost dupes of La Caline( just a wee bit darker)

I just had to throw out my last bit of the discontinued NARS Captiva lipstick because it tasted like a crayon. Does anyone know of a dupe for that? I would be extremely grateful! I hear NARS Tanganyka is similar but not a match.
