I’ve been wearing Tom Ford Amber Absolute a lot now that it’s turned chilly around here!

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! I fell in love with Michael Kors Sexy Amber and bought it. It smells wonderful!! Then today, while taking advantage of the VIB sale, I smelled Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb for the very first time at Sephora. Good stuff!!

In winter/during the holidays, I tend to favor scents that have a lot of warm vanilla, amber, or are a bit spicy. I have to use lightly, since it doesn’t actually get cold in Hawaii for the holidays (or anytime, actually).

It’s summer during Christmas here in Australia, so I’ll probably be wearing a lot of Timbuktu – it’s perfect for the dry, hot weather. Evenings, though, it’ll probably be L’Heure Bleue and Mitsouko.

I don’t wear anything seasonal apart from warming/cooling clothing, really (and I usually just add or take layers). However, I’ve been a bit obsessed with Lancôme Trésor Midnight Rose and La Vie est Belle. I think I may need to revisit my old love as well, which is Hanae Mori Butterfly. The sad part is they’re the less toothache-inducing among the fragrances I like. 😛 (Prada Candy wears a bit too close to the skin for me, although I do like it)

There is simply nothing in the world like Chanel 19 EDP. I don’t understand why they don’t sell it at US Chanel counters. You have to either order it online, or purchase it outside of the States. I also scored some of the parfum, which is wonderful, but still nothing like the EDP.

Come November 1 I whip out the Hermessence Ambre Narguile. I’m not a fan of really smoky scents, but this has just the right amount of smoky and sweetness, perfect scent to get me through holidays season (Thanksgiving and Christmas). However, come January I put it away and pull out that Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge, which is my fav scent to wear until spring comes around:)!

By Kilian Sweet Redemption
Bottega Veneta Eau Legere
Victor and Rolf Spicebomb
Chanel 5 parfum spray (the greatest scarf/coat scent ever. Period.)
And for lighter days, I’ve been layering Chanel Gardenia with Jo Malone Orange Blossom.

I go back and forth between Snow White by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and Woodsmoke & Amber by Firebird Bath and Body. BPAL’s seasonal evergreen-heavy scents are also favorites (like Skadi and Ondurdis).

Old Favs: Guerlain’s Shalimar and Liz Claiborne’s Claiborne (remember the fun triangular-shaped bottles??) but it must be the Parfum, not the EDT.

New fav: Tom Ford’s Violet Blonde – sexy!!

I love D&G Li’imperatrice (Number 3) for the summer time. I’m still wearing it…need to find myself a winter perfume for the festive period!! Think I have some YSL Cinema, will try and dig that out 🙂
