So, so loving Urban Decay’s Rollergirl palette — it’s such a flattering set of colors. I love the three neutral shades (Verve, Suspect, and Darkhorse) together!

Whoops – sorry, I’m having all sorts of computer woes. ANYWAY, I wanted to say that Suspect is the shade I absolutely love from the Book of Shadows III and it’s what I chose as the shade I’d love to see released on its own/permanently. I may have to buy this palette too, just to get a backup! The other day, I wore the light matte pink shadow from WnW’s Lust palette with something in the crease (can’t recall – maybe Smoke & Diamonds or Copperplate or maybe Centre Stage but later in the day, I went over it over with MAC’s Memorabilia and it looked SO nice later on, when I caught sight of myself (and because I use Memorabilia so infrequently, I really had to think about what it was that looked so nice!)
This week I wore a gray-blue shadow all over the lid (whose name I don’t know) blended into Dark Soul Pigment in the crease. I wore Viva Glam Gaga on the lips. <3
I recently purchased MAC Violet pigment, and I wore it on the inner half of my lid with a matte midtone purple (Wet n Wild Lust palette)on the outer half, and the matte dark purple in the crease. I darkened the outer v with the sparkly purple shade. Then I applied MAC Blacktrack on the upper lashline and Lakme eye kohl (Indian product) on the lower lashline and set it with matte black e/s. Everyone I saw that day loved it!
This week, I wore Laneige Fresh Modernist Spring 2011 eyeshadow palette, and the liner/ mascara duo, with the lip gloss. The palette has pastel shades of orange/coral, pink, mint green and a charcoal grey shade for liner. Love the mint green shade.
I went for girly, barely-there makeup style:
Eyes: soft semi-pearl white shadow by Bourjois (No 90, Blank diaphane) and a hint of black mascara.
Cheeks: Max factor Miracle touch in 14, Soft pink
Lips: only gloss, Bourjois effect 4D in 62-Rose givre
The only makeup I’ve worn this week is mascara. I’ve just been home all week and my dogs don’t mind if I’m not wearing makeup!
I’ve been playing with some summer-y looks recently (I am dying to get back home to New Orleans), and I did one that I think was really cute.
On the eyes, I used Smog (from the UD Vegan palette) on the outer 2/3 of the eyelid, with M.A.C.’s Her Alter Image, a light violet color, on the inner third and just along the lower lash line, with Half Baked (also from the UD Vegan Palette) from the crease up to the brow. On the lips, I used the Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color lipstick in Soft Coral (I am IN LOVE with this lipstick and definitely need more of the shades). Finally, on the cheeks, I used Lorac’s blush in Velvet Rope.
Now if I could just finish studying for exams so I could get out of the library and actually show off my makeup looks!
I’m loving the Naked Palette. The best look I did was with Virgin (inner corner), Sidecar (inner lid), Toasted (outer lid) and Hustle (crease). I used Prestige My Biggest Lashes Mascara (LOVE it!!), Illamasqua Unrequited blush and MAC Emancipation Lipglass (I got it as a gift from friends :D).
I did a look yesterday which was simple but gorgeous. I had Groundwork paintpot on the lid with Flourishing eyeshadow(got this from a CCO 2 weeks ago and I love it) in the crease. I highlighted with the lightest shade from the Photorealism quad. I had Mighty Aphrodite blush on the cheeks(dark shade to contour, light color on the apples of my cheeks) and Nars Casablanca lipstick.
Christine quick question: Is this UD palette unique enough to buy for someone with a large stash of shadows?
It’s probably not SUPER unique, but it’s just really well done.
Wet and Wild’s Walking on Eggshells Color Icon palette which I bought thanks to the Temptalia reviews. Gorgeous neutrals, looks great combined with NYX Mauve Blush and NYX Tea Rose lip gloss.
I’ve been wearing makeup every day this week and I can’t remember any looks before today. Well, here it is (mostly Urban Decay): Primer Potion (of course), Dior Elegant Taupe liner on top lashline (for no reason, it’s under the eyeshadow anyway), UD Electric shadow on inner half of lid, Toasted on outer half of lid, Dashiki in crease, Midnight Cowboy (yep, I did it!) under the brow highlighter. When used in small amounts as a highlighter the fallout ain’t too bad! Midnight Cowboy 24/7 liner on inner corner, Electric 24/7, my go-to, on lower lashline, and Zero on the waterline. Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara, Dior BrowStyler. Chanel Orchid Rose blush, UD Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie. And to finish it all off UD De-Slick powder to sop up all the grease.
I wore UD chopper on the lid wet, MAC handwritten on the crease, MAC shroom on the inner corner and a matte highlight. Not normally a neutral person but I love this combo 🙂
The look I did for a wedding yesterday – three shimmery colours blended across the lid – light gold, wheaten gold and golden brown – and drawn a little past my brown bone. Revlon Luxurious Color Liner in Sueded Brown, smudged a little and Estee Lauder Double Wear Curling mascara on lashes.
Blush was MAC Mineralize Pet Me with a dusting of TheBalm Hot Mama over the top.
Lips was Bobbi Brown Rich Color in Sweet Nectar with a dab of Jordaan lipgloss in Sunset Kiss for a bit of goldn glimmer!
(I had on a coral pink top with a coral, peach, cobalt blue and white patterned skirt – the lipstick totally matched the coral!)
I haven’t had the time to do much eye makeup lately, so I went all out last night for our college’s big art fest!
Inner 1/3 of lid and inner 1/3 of crease: Stars and rockets
outer 2/3 lid: Too Faced Mess in a Dress
Outer 1/3 lid and outer 2/3 crease: Sugarpill Poison Plum
Then, I used a black felt tip liner and lined and winged it out on the upper lid, and then mascara
My lips were “The New Pink” by Lancome
This is the kind of color combo I fall back on, because I just love it so much! I’m so glad I picked “Mess in a Dress” up from the vintage too faced sale, it’s got a bit of a blue duochromeness to it, and goes awesome with stars and rockets!
All this past week I’ve been wearing ho-hum colors but today I really wanted to use something I hadn’t in a while… my mauvement pigment.
Eyes: Mauvement on lid (wet) with a matte dark brown in my crease and Mulch along my lower lashes.
Cheeks: Instant Chic blush with Stereo Rose on my cheekbones
Lips: Jazzed lipstick and over that I put Strange Potion
Pretty pleased with my combo. 🙂
Soft pink eyes from a random palette. Pink on lid, lavender on crease light yellow highlight and liquid brown liner. Mac peachykeen blush with mac syrup lipstick.
I used a Wish Come True from the tartan tale collection which is a smokey pale pink colour all over the lid; the pewter colour from the Caviar dreams quad as a liner smudged under the lower lashline, and lots of mascara with the pewter eyeliner from UD’s jackpot on my lower waterline….pink swoon on cheeks and lady gaga 1 on my lips 🙂
Wore MAC shadow in Satellite Dreams in inner crease and MUFE #92 on the outer crease lined w/ UD 24/7 pencil in Ransom, MAC Mighty Aprhodite over Virgin Isle on my cheeks and lipliner in Vino and Sheen Supreme lipstick in Full Speed. Got lots of wonderful comments about this look
I have to say, MUFE #92 totally makes this look come together!
My favorite is my look today 🙂
Eyes: Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Busy Signal as a base, MAC Soft Brown on the crease, Da Bling in the inner corner of lid, Plum Dressing in the middle of the lid, Sketch on the outer lid blended out and Shroom as a highlighter; MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack to line upper lash line and MAC Raven to line bottom lash line; MAC Haute and Naughty on lashes.
Cheeks: MAC Prim & Proper
Whew–that was a lot but I was feeling a plum-my smoked eye look 🙂
Oh and MAC Kissable Lipcolor in Super 🙂 my favorite piky-nude, MLBB product!!
Yesterday I used UDPP in sin,UD shadow in sin on the inner corner, UD shadow in Maui wowie in the middle and Fyrinnae boytoy on the outer corner and crease. Finished with black liner and mascara. Paired it with a peachy-pink blush and peachy-pink lips.
I’m not all that big on pinks, but I put together a look for Grey’s “So Sakura” contest… and I really, really liked it! I used Kryolan Aquacolor White and Sugarpill Tako as a base… MAC Helium in the inner corner, Fyrinnae Chaotic Evil mid-lid, and Sugarpill Dollipop on the outer lid and swept around my crease to meet back up with the Helium. It was purtyful!
FACE: MAC concealer, MAC Studio Fix Powder foundation, MAC Fix Plus
CHEEKS: The Body Shop Bronzing Powder in 01 to contour and MAC Hang Loose Mineralize blush on apples of my cheeks
EYES: ArtDeco eyeshadow base, MAC Brule all over, MAC Naked Lunch on the lid,MAC Satin Taupe in the crease and lower lash line, MAC Blanc Type under my brows, UD 24/7 eyeliner on the upper lash line and in the water line, Maybelline Falsies mascara
LIPS: YSL: Rouge Vibration lipstick- SPF 10 in #17
I used the two navy shades from the Wet n Wild Blue Had Me at Hello Palette for a navy smoky eye, MAC Vanilla to highlight, UD Zero on the upper lash line and water line, UD Binge on the lower lash line, smudged out. NARS Laguna bronzer with a little bit of Benefit Coralista. MAC Hue lipstick and a little bit of MAC Flurry of Fun lip glass
My fave look this week was the one I wore to a piano concerto at Segerstrom Hall. I used MAC Blanc Type all over the eye, tokidoki neutral wheat shimmer from the Bastardino palette on the lid, crease, and lower lash line, Too Faced Glitter Glue on the lid with Glampire Glamour Dust on top, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper for a cat eye, Tarte mascara, and MAC Handwritten to fill in my brows. Added some Tarina Tarantino Pearl Glow Primer as a cheek highlight with UD blush in Quickie, lined and filled in my lips with NYX Fuschia lip liner then topped with MAC Girl About Town. Then I finished it all with a couple of sprays of the Kat Von D Setting Mist.
Crap, that sounds like a lot, but it looked beautiful!
The look that I have on now is my favorite this week, which is white pigment on the lid with orange on the crease:
MAC pigment “if it sparkles” on the first half of the lid. Its a white pigment with purply/pinky undertones, from Alice&Olivia collection.
MicaBella pigment #103 (sunset) – a slightly shimmery orange color added to the outer-V and crease (this matches my coral top)
Mac “SWISH” eyeshadow was my browbone/highliter color. Its a sheer, pale frosty pink.
Eyeliner: For the top lid, I used a black glittery color by Sephora
Bottom lid was a dark blue by MAC called “Navy Stain.” I did 2 colors becuae i don;t like wearing all black sometimes, it gets boring.
Make Up Forever Smoky Lash for my mascara
Foundation: Make up for ever Face/Body shade #12
Lips: MAC lipstick in LAME (a frost – its a slightly shimmery nude brown, i like this for a nude lip.
Nails: Collide, by illamasqua (neon pink – goes well with coral top)
The lighting indoors is different, but when I stepped outside to look at my eye makeup in natural lighting, color payoff was amazing. It looked hott, and Swish and If It Sparkles definitely complemented eachother while the orange matched the top.
contoured nueutral brown eye, Liquid taupe eyeliner from sephora , Physician fomula happy hearts blush and milani HD Fuschia Lipstick
Today I used UDPP Greed for the first time with UD’s Maui Wowie, Sellout, Nylon, Mushroom and MAC Grand Entrance and Nylon. I am trying Benefit’s Some Kind-a Gorgeous with Hello Flawless and Dallas (I’m loving Dallas) for the first time as well.
face: cle de peau cream foundation, cle de peau concealer, yves saint laurent touche eclat, chanel bronze universel, le metier de beaute loose powder
eyes: mac stud brow pencil, mac brow set in mink, mac pro black black acrylic paint, chanel inimitable mascara
lips: guerlain rouge g brillante in blondie
🙂
I wore a purple-blue shadow look using MAC: parfait amour, creme de violet, sushi flower, and beautiful iris!
I got lots of compliments wearing Maybelline Cosmic Eye Studio eyeshadow in cosmic black, with Estee Lauder Stay in place eye pencil and Sumptuous mascara. On the lips I had NYX Round Lipstick in Milan. Everyone loved it 😀
Mac Off the Page on the lid, Cork in the crease and outer v, Texture blended above Cork and Femme Fi as a brow highlight. Nars Taj Mahal on the cheeks and Mac Kumquat lipglass on the lips:)
My favorite this week was Delft Paint Pot with Birds&Berries on the outside, shimmermoss on the middle lid and Sweet&Punchy in the corner. I warmed it up with a warm, creamy pink above the crease. I always get compliments when I wear it.
My favourite look from this week was with Mac Kelly green eyeshadow. I wore Painterly paintpot on the lid, Kelly on the lid, Kid in the crease to blend it out, Straw Harvest on the inner corner and Blanc Type to highlight.
I’ve been really into using cream eyeshadows under my powder ones for more intense colour, as well as peachy cheeks and lips!
A very plain neutral eye make-up…
But, I’m wearing my fav lip combo: Maybelline Ambre Rose Lipstick + MAC Nymphette Lipglass!!!
XOXO
laura mercier oil free tinted moisturizer in sand
smashbox creamy cheek color in Untamed
mac blot powder in medium dark
the body shop powder bronzer shade 01
revlon matte lipstick in pink about it
mac lipstick in morange
I got away with wearing this to work! And because it’s summer where I live, it’s time to bust out my tube of MORANGE!
Rubensque on lid to crease, Bare Study on brow and UD Smog in crease. UD Whiskey to line top and lower. I wore that four days this week. Oh a Nuance blush.
