We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Sephora Cappuccino liner (one of the earlier formulations in the black packaging; it’s now been changed to silver). It’s my go-to, every day liner. I find it wears every bit as well as Urban Decay or MUFE liners at a fraction of the price. I also opened a backup of a discontinued shade – Diving in Malaysia – that still had the over-wrapping of clear cellophane or plastic over it. I loved that shade (hence the backup) and wish it hadn’t been discontinued. These pencils apply really nicely and you can smudge them easily for a softer line. And they sure do last long without drying out and becoming useless (not something I can say about the Marc Jacobs Highliners).
Today I’m wearing Haus Labs Optic Intensity Eyeliner Pencil in Deep Bronze Shimmer on my lower lash line. It’s a neutral shade that lasts all day without touch-ups. It’s my second favorite eyeliner pencil. (My favorite is Urban Decay 24/7 in Mushroom.)
the new Sephora collection twist up eyeliner in the matte grey color. it’s a lovely formula.
Urban Decay Demolition, I love the dark cool toned brown for tightlining under my upper lashes to help them look fuller, it doesn’t transfer to the bottom waterline and it lasts all day for me.
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Smoke (matte dark gray)! I’m wearing it today. I bought it recently and it seems fairly similar to UD’s usual (good) eyeliner formula. Perhaps just a tiny bit on the dry side compared to UD Zero.
ColourPop’s WIne Not liquid liner. It’s a nice color but it the liner itself had dried out. I normally really like ColourPop’s liners, especially the liquid ones, but this was disappointing.
Victoria Beckham Beauty Sea Grey. It was the first eyeliner I purchased from her collection and I still love how it highlights my blue eyes. I love it for every season. Thought I lost it once so bought the back up!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Stash on the middle part of my lower lashline to fuse my usual Smashbox Fishnet way out on the outer lower lashline to the brilliant green from ND Yucca palette.
This is one of my favorite green eyeliners because it hangs in there no matter what, and never overpowers my various metallic or glittery ones like those found in that ND palette!
Make up by Mario, wear well!
I got out a Haus Labs Optic Intensity eyeliner pencil in Onyx Gold Shimmer that I hadn’t used in a while, and had a terrible time applying it- it was dry and dropped little tiny crumbs everywhere. I looked at the side of the pencil for the use-by symbol and it said 9 months! I guess that’s what happens sometimes with “clean” beauty products. I threw it out, and I was sad.
I don’t generally wear an eyeliner – I just use a darker eyeshadow instead.
Il Makiage eyeliner in Blue Sky (Lustre) is a stunning eyeliner, it applies smoothly, dries shortly after to a smudge proof vision. I can’t get enough of these liners.
Danessa Myricks Infinite Chrome Micropencils – emerald and jade, or charoite and lilac quartz. These pencils are tiny allowing for exact placement, only twist up a small amount or they’ll break off. They’re creamy, set quickly and have good staying power. A few taps of finger to blend, as they lose their shimmer and shift if blended too much.
Lately during these hot, steamy summer days in dirty jerzey, I have been going back & forth between 2 different eyeliners. Either Daniel Sandler long lasting waterproof eyeliner in Green Velvet or Wet & Wild breakup proof gel liner in Black/Brown. They are both creamy, dreamy, easy to blend matte formulas that last all day & don’t irritate my eyes with contacts or when I tightline. Removal is easy w/ cleansing balm or a good micellar water. Both have slim, retractable pen styles, BUT! neither have built-in sharpeners so I keep 1 from my Milani retractable pens in my bag JIC…hopefully I don’t loose it. Anyone know where u can purchase them tiny little sharpeners separately?
I think it was MAC Eye Kohl/Wakanda Forever in Feline. I used it on my upper lash line and did a tiny flick. It wears well and is easy to use.
It can also have been About Face Line Artist in Blue is the New Black. This one is also easy to use, a bit creamy making it easy to smudge if one should like to. It wears well.
Both liners stayed on without any problems for at least 10 hours.
Today’s eyeliner is one of my faves, Urban Decay’s 24/7 ergonomic liquid eyeliner pen. I went outside my comfort zone and got the blue shimmer, Hi Energy, and it’s been fun for summertime. They really don’t budge and I love that. I also have Oilslick which is a shimmery taupe and love that one too.
Bought a Clio eyeliner (Sharp, So Simple waterproof pencil liner) during Prime Days and I’m not in love with it. It’s nicely dark, but it’s a little soft for my taste and I thought it would be smaller in size when I bought it with the intent to use it for tightlining…as it is, it’s only a smidge smaller than a normal automatic pencil. For $7 I’ll keep it, but my hunt for a pencil to tightline (that is not Hourglass-priced) continues.
It must have been one of the two Shiseido Crayon Microliner Inks that I own (I have one gray and in one in brown, and technically the black one but it’s too old by now). My eyes are hooded and oily, but these stay put when applied over an eyeshadow base: there is no transfer to my crease/lid, which is not a given with these eyes.
The pen glides on effortlessly and it is easy to create a neat line although I’m not the most skilled in eyeliner application. This is a small pen, which is great because you don’t see a lot of my eyelid when the eye is open and I want the line to be narrow, so as to not make my eyes look too heavy, or to cover all the eyeshadow.
