We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! In recent years, Volition Beauty Strawberry-C Serum.
I love Volition and swear by their Skin Balancing and Clearing Serum
Ooh, I’ll have to try that!
Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre and Clarins eye cream (the one in the red pump – they’ve reformulated it and changed the name slightly and I can’t remember it). I share your love of Farmacy’s Clean Green cleansing balm – it’s so nice.
Paulas Choice 8% AHA Lotion, Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair, CeraVe PM Lotion.
Tatcha dewy skin cream…..great at night…I have purchased Belif True Cream Moisturizing Balm, great under makeup and the Belif True Cream Aqua Balm in the summer . Belif makes great products at a reasonable price point…..Sara Happ lip products are great also……
If we are talking pure quantity of product, most likely it would be Clinique Take the Day Off Balm. Although I haven’t repurchased it in quite some time (I’ve found a better alternative, which doesn’t come in a jar) in the past 8-10 years I’ve purchased it uncountable times.
If we’re talking individual packaging, Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment is most likely a top contender. This happens because I like my actives fresh, so I purchase them in travel sizes. I can’t finish a full size bottle in a year, and after 6 months I usually feel is not as potent so I end up using it up on my body. So I repurchased the travel size many times.
What did you find that is a better alternative to the Clinique?
I’m curious, what are you using instead of Clinique TTDO?
Cosrx AHA/BHA toner and Paula Super-Light DWD (TM).
Sunscreen. No specific brand because I’ve been trying out various ones over the years, but I think I’m going to repurchase the Etude airy finish Sunprise.
Even when I’m being lazy and skipping every single other step of my routine except for washing my face, I never skip sunscreen.
Fresh Soy Faced Cleanser! Perfect for my sensitive skin and fragrance free!
Because I literally don’t keep count, but just keep purchasing the same skincare products over and over again, here goes!
1.) The Ordinary Buffet
2.) Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic Acid & Retinol Eye Serum
3.) First, The Ordinary Retinol 1%, but Sephora and Ulta no longer sell it, so I switched to The Inkey List Retinol which is 1%. I much prefer The Ordinary’s formula.
4.) Up until very recently, I went through more bottles of Ole Henriksen Truth Serum than I could ever count. Tried a different Vite C serum from The Ordinary. Definitely more potent and pure!
5.) Can’t get it anymore, but again, purchased FAB Sunscreen Moisturizer (not the full name!) so many times. I’m so sad that it’s no longer available.
6.) A gazillion tubes of Jack Black Lip Balm!
I am a big fan of The Ordinary as well Nancy. I find the products to be excellent and so inexpensive. What does the Vitamin C serum do for your skin? I might try that one.
I have just read up on it Nancy and I have the feeling that a Vitamin C serum may well irritate my sensitive skin. Let me know, if you can, how you have found it.
Hi Genevieve, I use it for several purposes, including hyperpigmentation post breakouts and uneven skintone mostly caused from sun, though oddly enough, only after carrying my son to term (and then some!). It also seems to make my pores tighten up and not look like orange peel! Have heard that it helps to build collagen, but I am not sure that there is any firm science on that proving it as fact. The one I use is Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F.
A very good question! It’s hard to pick just one though.
1. La Roche Posay’s Anthelios Sunscreen SPF 50+ – every single day.
2. The Ordinary’s Moroccan Argon Oil – the best facial oil around and so inexpensive.
3. CeraVe’s Moisturising Cream – in the tub – great for legs, arms and face.
4. A’kin’s Day and Night Moisturising Cream – use it at a night time, really rich.
5. Weleda’s Skin Food – absolutely sensational.
6. My brand new favourite – the Inkey List’s Hyaluronic Acid – I am only a third of the way through the bottle and can already tell the difference in my skin, so that is a miracle in itself.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Face Moisturizer Gel-Cream
Sunscreen, various brands, even on the shortest days of winter, even when cloudy I use sunscreen, so I go through a few tubes a year.
I use Clinique Take the Day Off balm every day and have done that for some years now.
Probably The Ordinary’s Buffet or Hyaluronic Acid. As I’ve gotten older my skin is more sensitive and I can’t layer the actives and acids like before. So I’ve really pared it down to a watery essense, thicker essense, light cream, oil, sunscreen, and at night a topping with a heavier cream (or even vaseline). I’ve tried a lot of hyaluronic acids, including the fancy “5 kinds” products, but at the end of the day I’m so dry that feeling a nice sticky water go on to my skin is just incredibly refreshing.
I did want to clarify that while I do wear sunscreen every single day and have for years, I don’t always repurchase the same one.
Before it was discontinued I repurchased Burt’s Bees brightening cleanser and face cream many times :'(
Currently though, IT cosmetics confidence in a cream, SheaMoisture manuka honey & yogurt skin renewal moisturizer, and Hempz milk & honey hand creme.
Hyaluronic Acid from The Ordinary and Paula’s Choice Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser. They both work so well with my aging, oily skin.
“Product” as in singular? Muah-ha-ha-ha-ha impossible! Not long ago the repurchase winners were Perricone MD Nutritive Cleanser (also used on body), Face Finishing Moisturizer and Neuropeptide Facial Cream, which I swear lifts when applied in a way that became too tedious for me. I still like them but the treatment product can be aggressive on sensitive skin.
A LOT of IT Cosmetics Confidence Cleanser, Confidence In A Cream, JNSQ lip serum pens that click, Vitality Lip Flush serum-gloss stains since I haven’t been adventurous and I’m considering those lip treatments makeup.
ALL BelaDoce Botanicals facial bars / gentle soaps and her Blue Velvet Facial Serum. I’m getting up there with repurchasing LVNEA Larmes De Rose Facial Serum.
