A good moisturizer, because my skin can be on the drier side if I’m not using an appropriate one. Next, I’d say my makeup brushes, because I really do prefer using them to apply makeup!

My brow powders & wax or my brow pencil.

ps Are you going to do a FOTD or EOTD with the Muppets Palette?
I know a lot of us got it or the Balm and the Beautiful after your rave reviews!

Hmmm – EVERYTHING???? Good moisturizers for sure (one with SPF in the daytime) and concealer (I have very pale skin and very blue dark circles s they really need covering up). Some blush or something else to put colour in my face (in a pinch, I’d use lipstick for both my lips and cheeks). And maybe an eye lining pencil – a nice, smudgy one.

Gentle toothbrush, a good wide-tooth wooden (all other materials give me headaches when using) comb and boar bristle brush for cleansing purposes (water-only), double prong clips for pin curls (I do them every night), and a microfibre cloth to remove eye makeup post-shower. Oh and good antiperspirants. I can’t think of much else, as I don’t really use much else haha.

Moisturizer and sunscreen for the skin, the former moreso for fall and winter when my skin dries out easier. As for makeup, concealer is usually a must due to my pale skin and dark circles. Blush becomes more routine in the deep winter months, since the natural flush I have tends to wane a bit as my skin reaches it’s palest shades.

I absolutely MUST have a foundation, but other products I use daily are special moisturizer, primer, concealers, pink highlighter, and dark pencil eyeliner. I realize that I use those things constantly.

A Clarisonic with a good cleanser and moisturiser, basically. Oh, and Sasa Extra Heavy Eyeliner because its so easy to apply and doesn’t move – and you can’t feel it on!

Moisturizer, with sunscreen for daytime. Concealer and eyeshadow primer (a skin-toned one is best for me, then I don’t even need to bother with shadow if I’m in a rush). A bit of lip colour (which I can also use as blush if I needed to).

Ooops – didn’t realize this was a repeat of a question from last month. Interesting that my answer this time is almost identical to my answer last time.

my moisturizer – it made such a huge difference to my skin because it contains AHA and vitamin C.. so while it *is* a moisturizer, the thing that made such an impact on my skin is the “gentle yet regular chemical exfoliation”-aspect of it. Beauty-wise I’d either go with a blush that I can use on my lips, or a lipstick that I can use as blush.

1- Good primer. I swear by Sue Devitt’s Microquatic Fortifying primer. Its pricey, but so little goes such a long way.

2- Crown Brushes: Cheap and really good. I have some that are a few years old that have been washed a gazillion times with no problems.

3- MAC Paint: Love this item because its a multitasker, its an eye base, a cream eye shadow, great as a base for lipsticks and personally, I absolutely LOVE the lighter matte shades as a base for CONCEALER… GENIUS!

I need a good moisturizer, definitely! I also need a really dark, smoky mascara since I feel like I look dead without it. My last thing is a nice moisturizing lip balm, or else my lips will be chapped in two seconds.

My skincare routine is the most important park of my beauty routine. It leads the way to beautiful glowing skin without the need for heavy foundations.

I can’t live without:
-Origins Checks and Balances Cleanser
-Renee Rouleau Balancing Skin Tonic
-Murad Active Radiance Serum
-Origins GinZing Eye Cream
-Renee Rouleau Glycolic 17% Serum
-Renee Rouleau Skin Correcting Serum
-Origins Night-A-Mins Cream

As for actual makeup items:
-Mascara
-Lip Balm

Hi there!

Just wondering your thoughts on the GinZing Eye Cream.. I’ve been thinking about getting it for awhile but have been hestitant due to the price. How effective would you say it is in terms of moisturizing and decreasing dark circles?

Thanks,

Sarah

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Castor oil… nothing else ever goes on my face but these essential oils. (except for my weekly exfoliation).

Moisturizer with spf and blush. Lip balm if I’m not wearing makeup (apart from the blush). Very moisturizing lipstick or lipgloss (lip products being moisturizing is a must for me!) if I am wearing makeup.

– A day time moisturizer for sensitive rosacea skin; I swear by Korres Wild Rose
– A night time moisturizer to calm, soothe, and hydrate. My holy grail is Chantecaille’s Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask
– Purple eyeshadows; they make my green eyes look bigger and more jewel-like. I have several from Chanel, MAC, and Dior that I enjoy.
– Eyeliners that I can wear on the waterline. Bare Escentuals Intense Black is amazing.
– Liquid foundation with medium coverage. My current favorite is Diorskin Nude.

Here’s the top 5 of what product that are integral to my beauty routine:
#1 deep moisturizing lipbalm
#2 blotting powder
#3 lip & cheek stain
#4 waterproof mascara
#5 heated eyelash curler (the one that looks like a comb)

Heidi Avatar

My Clarisonic, cleanser, toner, moisturizer with SPF, primer and a liquid foundation. I also can’t stand how I look without mascara, so mascara is important to me as well!

Wren Avatar

-A basic moisturizer with SPF
-Concealer under eyes
-Tweezers and mini-scissors – it’s amazing what neatening up your brows does for your face.
-Something moisturizing on my lips, or else they crack. Aquaphor works well.
