What product did you expect to use often but find you don't reach for much?

Everything and nothing! I don’t expect to use most beauty products often, aside from things like skincare/hair care. I bought a few backups of Good Molecules Niacinimide serum, which I have gone through many bottles of in the past, but I’ve been rotating through some other products containing that ingredient, so I haven’t been using it regularly.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Soothing serums containing centella and ceramides. What with not going out in the cold much and wearing masks outside and running a humidifier, my skin did not dry out much this winter so I did not need most of the protect and repair products that I needed in 2019 and stocked up on. Overall that’s a good thing.

Besides lipstick and eyeliner, everything in my makeup and skincare collection gets a good regular use. More than one year ago, I truly expected to have used these products to pieces. 😅

I would have also expected to use more the Drunk Elephant scalp scrub. Since we spend so much time home, I would expect to find time to use before washing my hair… but somehow I always forget.

I probably have spent more on eyeshadow palettes and lipsticks over the past few years and whilst I still rotate them regularly, there are a few that I don’t seem to reach for nowadays, like Vice 2.
As for skincare products – I have a little (actually quite considerable) stash of those and I will get through them – it’s more night creams that I have and probably need to get some more day creams with SPF.

Natasha Denona’s Bronze Palette. Pre-Covid, those colours would have been my holy grail, with my brown eyes and dyed chocolate brown hair. But thanks to what feels like never-ending rolling lock-downs, I decided that there would never be a better time in my professional life to go through the awkward phase of growing out my substantial greys. So, I’ve been getting a ton of use out of my cooler palettes, like ND’s Glam and ABH’s Sultry.

Like three quarters of my stash, sadly.
Of those, primarily eyeshadow and lipstick sit there receiving no love.
I seem to be sticking to about four blushes, a couple neutral eyeshadows and some liquid ones.
However, I am rotating through foundations (liquid, stick and powder formulas) pretty good right now and doing well with both liquid and powder bronzers and highlighters.
Mascara is the one consistent item I’m using daily, and loads of lip balms.

Concealer – I love how it helps even my skin when it’s done right but I can’t seem to get it right nine times out of ten so unless I have a lot of time to kill I just skip it. Consequently I have a tidy little collection of concealers because I think a different formulation might work, or maybe this particular shade will be better. No, I’m pretty sure the problem is the user, lol.

Nancy, you know there are a few good websites on which you can seek your unused palletes.
Mercari, Poshmark, and Facebook Marketplace are great sites to sell lightly used makeup. Mercari and Poshmark and eBay charge a fee. FB marketplace does not. Give it a try.
Show good pictures of cleaned up palettes and price them well and you will sell them.
Good luck!!
