What makeup do you usually pack to bring when traveling?

What makeup do you usually pack to bring when traveling? What’s a must? What do you leave behind?

For most trips, I pack either 2 eyeshadow quads or one eyeshadow palette. I then bring along 2-3 lipsticks, 2-3 lipglasses, one mascara, and 2-3 eyeliners. For blush, I try to just take 2 or so.

I pack way too much!! Especially shadows. Last trip I brought so many palettes, it was ridiculous. I am currently considering buying a Unii palette to depot some of my other palettes into (UD palettes especially). I also need to depot all my MAC singles, but it seems like such an involved process!

dani@callitbeauty Avatar

mineral (for day-to-day) & liquid foundation (if i have to dress up a bit), an eyeshadow palette, one mascara, 1-2 blushes, 1 liquid & 1 gel eyeliner (both black), and a 3-4 lip products (a combo of lipstick and gloss).

my mac tinted lip conditioner is an absolute must; i would never knowingly leave home without it, let alone go on vacation :p

www.makeupandmirrors.blogspot.com Avatar

I am actually packing for a month long vacation to the USA as I type. Given cosmetics are literally half the price in America, I am trying to pack light as I know I will be hitting Sephora, Ulta and MAC quite hard (seriously, we pay $32 for a single MAC eyeshadow!!)

At the moment I have:
*Estee Lauder Doublewear Foundation
*MAC Moisturecover Concealer
*Estee Lauder Doublewear powder
*A tiny Estee Lauder GWP eyeshdaow quad (I figure it only needs to get me through a few days)
*NARS Orgasm blush

And then I am tossing up which lip products (it will only be one lip gloss, and either one or no lipsticks)

Plus of course skin care and tools.

I figure since I am taking a vacation, I am not going to want to spend a great deal of time every morning putting my slap on when I could be out seeing the amazing sights.

You live in Australia, don’t you? I moved here from Canada a year ago, and was it ever a shock to see those exorbitant MAC prices! I haven’t bought a single item from MAC yet; I stocked up while at home for a visit, and got a friend to pick me up some when she visited America. In short, I feel your pain!

Kat Avatar

I take my foundation, concealer, powder, brow powder, 1 blush, 1 lipstick, 2 glosses, 1-2 small eyeshadow palettes, mascara, and 1 liner. Oh and maybe I’d take a highlighter, since I’m obsessed with them right now.

Johnathan Avatar

i pack my foundation, concealer, 2 lipsticks, 2 lipglass, beauty powder (pretty baby kinda like a blush) because it has a mirror in the compact 🙂 lip liner, contour color and my mac brush roll 🙂

Karen Avatar

Complete brush set (I prefer long ones I dunno why I’m not comfortable with short handles?) About 3-5 Lipsticks, 2 foundations, setting powder, contour powder, 3 blush, 2 highlighters, 2 Mascara’s, 1 eye palette.. And I think that’s a lot. Hehe

Salvinia Avatar

I usually bring a neutral eyeshadow quad, a pink blush and a peach blush, around four lipglosses, mascara and a black pencil eyeliner, foundation or tinted moisturizer (depending on what time of year it is), and setting powder.
Funny thing is, most of the time I hardly end up wearing any of it, LOL!

Frances Avatar

Nothing very exciting: Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation, setting powder, NARS Dolce Vita and Gina blushes, Benefit BadGal eyeliner, whatever mascara I’m using at the moment, coral, red and pink lipsticks, and gold and pink gloss. If I have to bring eye shadow, it’s usually Bobbi Brown’s metallic eye shadow in Penny (a shimmery beige). Oh, and concealer, natch.

Musing on Beauty Avatar

Eh, way too much, I freak out at the idea I won’t have enough options! So generally 4-5 lip products, 2 or 3 blushes, bronzer, mascara, TM and foundation, an e/s palette like UD NAked and a few extras in one or 2 mac quads, a couple of liners and cream shadows, and my brush roll.
Of course if it’s just a one or 2 nights trip I do take less than that but if I’m going on vacation for a longer period, I take this all 🙂

Vicky Avatar

I try to travel light with the makeup. I pack a either a foundation, bb cream, or a tinted moisturizer with SPF(just whatever is smaller) and a my MAC mineralized skin finish natural. Then I take a palette with blush, bronzer, and usually 2-4 shades of eyeshadow along with a primer. I usually take one coral lipstick, one rose lip stain, a nude lip gloss, and a lip balm (DIOR lip glow). Then I just take the essentials: eyelash curler, pencil eyeliner (it’s easy to travel with), and a waterproof mascara. As for brushes, I take my mini Bobbi Brown travel brush set that only contains three essential brushes (blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner/sumdger)and MAC 181.

Christine Avatar

1 eyeshadow palette (UD Naked), MAC MSF Natural, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 highlight, Anastasia brow powder, MAC Blacktrack fluidline, CoverGirl LashBlast, Too Faced shadow insurance, 1 MAC lipstick, 3 ELF brushes, 2 Mac brushes.

monika-luiza Avatar

if it’s not for summer vacation somewhere in the south. I mostly take two quads, a good concealer that can double as foundation, eyebrow kit, 2 lipstick, 2-3 glosses, one mascara, two pencil eyeliners, one contouring product (bronzer or darker powder) and one blush.

If I’m going on summer vacation it’s just eyebrow-pencil, bronzer, mascara, mac rosemary & thmye and bordeauxline pencils, and 1-2 glosses.

but when I was 15- 18 I traveled with a whole make-up-case. Thank god, I’m in my late 20s now, and now exactly what products I really need

Carrie Ann Avatar

I take the foundation & concealer I always use, travel makeup brushes and small palettes, like the ones from MAC’s Trip collection, or any travel size makeup I think I’ll make use of.

Erica Avatar

Oh my, I bring everything along. I try to pack 2-4 of each category, but I tend to bring more lipsticks (like 6-8). I also tend to bring along products that I recently bought or that haven’t been used for a while, don’t know what kind of habit is that. 🙂

Maja Avatar

I take one foundation, 1 concealer and one setting powder, 2 blushes, UDPP, 3 or 4 eyeshadows, 2 eyeliners, 1 mascara, my eyelash curler (that’s a must!!), 1 or 2 lipsticks, 1 liplier (if I decide for a red lipstick) and 2 glosses. And my brushes of course.

Mary Avatar

Most important thing: foundation. I also pack concealer, mascara, brow powder, 3 lipsticks, Benefit palette including Hoola, Dallas and Dandelion, MSF Natural, mini eye primer, quad of MAC eyeshadows and 4 long-handed brushes.

Lizzy Avatar

I take whatever I’ve been wearing all the time anyway lately; Leaving tomorrow? Violetta, Cunning, Aristocat, Gimme That! and a Dazzleglass. Eyes? I’ve taken to one eye full of a color and a fabulous fat line of colored liner. So two eyeshadows and ten liners. But at least they’re little!

And foundation, concealer, the stack of bronzers, beauty powders, blushes and highlighters I’ve been obsessing with the past month. But “take your current favorites has worked well. I always take too much- but lately it gets in my purse and stays reasonable…

And MAC Wipes. Keep that face clean on filthy aeroplanes!

Mar Avatar

On a trip to Venezuela a bought this brilliant palette by Clinique at the airport. It contains 6 shadows, 1 face powder, 1 blush, 1 mascara and 4 lipcolors. Ever since I take my palette, my lashcurler, tinted moisturizer, a dark brown eyepencil and one liquid foundation.

That’s about it, I guess…

ledonatella Avatar

I’m traveling this weekend and I’m taking with me 1-2 shadow palettes (probably UD Naked or BB Chrome), an eyeliner, lipliner, mascara, 2-3 lipsticks and 2 glosses, my bronzer, foundation and powder.

Tessa Avatar

Eyes: I hardly ever reach for eyeshadows when I’m on the move, so I pack one quad at the most. On a recent (hot) holiday I just took Mac Paintpot in Groundwork (neutral brown) and NYX Jumbo pencil in French Fries (bronze) and that was fine. A Nars glitter pencil would also be good.

Lips: I always take too many lipsticks – 4 or 5 – and only wind up wearing two. But a good lip balm is essential.

Nails: do a hardcore manicure before you go, then just take the colour you’re wearing. My tip is also to pack Seche Vite because colour top ups look OK if you put this over the top.

Face: I hate powder so I never use that. I also hate heavy foundation in hot weather, so I’d just pack a sheer tinted moisturiser, a bronzer, a highlight (I took two last time and should have just picked one) and a blush. One bronzer brush and one blush brush, an eyeshadow brush if you’re taking shadows, then you can use fingers for the rest.

curt Avatar

i would bring my 2 favourite foundations, probably one for day&night, 3 blushes with different finishes, 2 eyeliners, 2 bronzers, 4 lip glosses, 4 lipsticks and 2 mascaras

Lauren Avatar

Thank you so much for this question- I’m leaving for Munich on Saturday for a week long vacation. HEYYY OKTOBERFEST. I had no idea what to bring. IF ANYONE IS FROM GERMANY- WHAT’S THE MAKE UP SELECTION OVER THERE? Will I be able to covet the elusive and uber expensive Rouge Bunny Rouge?!

xo

Chester Avatar

Make selection is pretty good, I’d say. You can get the cheaper brands like P2 and essence at drugstores (usually “dm”, “Rossmann”, “Müller”, or “IhrPlatz”). You will find other drugstore brands there as well, for instance Niveau Beauty Manhattan Cosmetics, mny (trendier sister brand of Manhattan) etc.

Then there’s “Douglas”, a store that sell perfumes as well as make up, ranging from Bobbi Brown to MAC, OPI, essie. These stores are a sight to see and I love to go there just to take a look but beware. Don’t buy higher brands in there that you can easily get in your country (USA?) because prices are much higher. A MAC single eye shadow is about the same price, €11.00 / US$14.50 but a lipstick is €18.00 (about US$23.00) whereas it’s US$14.50 according to mac.com.

And there are department stores like “Galeria Kaufhaus” and “Karstadt” that sell stuff from various brands, usually on the drugstore end.

As far as I know I haven’t seen Rouge Bunny Rouge in Germany. Sorry to disappoint.

Lilac Avatar

RBR used to be available in select Douglas-perfumeries but has been phased out. Next month or so some of it will be available through the shopping TV-channel QVC.

Chester: sorry, MNY is not by Manhattan, but by Maybelline (Maybelline New York) 🙂

Kate Avatar

I bring a neutral quad, a colourful quad, Mascara, Blush, Bronzer, 1 eyeliner, foundation, concealer and brushes. Plus Usually I bring waaaaaaay too much lip stuff.

Catherine Avatar

I usually pack way too much! I’m going to Florida for a month and I’m actually considering only taking two glosses with me so I use them up, and mostly older products for the same reason. It’s just so hard… cause the new stuff is always the prettiest!
Also, weirdly I will not take any limited edition products with me (or at least the ones i’m attached to) because I fear shattering – and I wouldn’t be able to repurchase the product.

Kelly Avatar

I am such a light packer. Honestly I never spend much time on makeup when I am on vaca so I only bring a few staples: a foundation, a blush, brow pencil, eye liner, mascara, and a lipgloss. After I see my vacation photos I always regret not having more slap on though. lol.

Nat Avatar

Can you do a post on what makeup you can or can’t have on your carry on? I know they have the 3 oz rule on liquids, creams and such. But what about powder products? what are the rules on those? and can you carry them in a makeup bag in your carry on or have it in a ziplock bag also?

Chester Avatar

When I traveled to Florida in July I just put everything liquid-y in a ziplock bag, lipstick, hand lotion, lip balm, mascara, kohl pencil and so on. I left my powder product as is in my carry on and had no problems.
I don’t know if there’s a difference between airlines, mine was Delta.

baby in a corner Avatar

As far as I know the rules have nothing to do with the airlines, they are State law. As chester said liquids have to be in a ziplock but anything not liquid (such as powder or lipstick etc) can be carried whatever way you like. The laws have nothing to do with makeup but rather liquids in general so the ziplock rules apply to all liquids like drinks. Airline website usually have all this info as do the airport websites! 🙂

Hilary♥ Avatar

I always bring one mascara, 4 eyepencils (black, brown, blue and turquoise), several eyeshadows depending on where I’m going and what I’m planning to do during the trip, one blush and 2 brozers, MAC powder and tons of lipsticks.

Ru Avatar

Of course it depends on the type of trip, if it’s low key or if going out/parties** will be involved. I usually take:
-mineral makeup, concealer
(**liquid foundation)
-eyeshadow pallete, black gel liner, lid primer
(**individual compacts or colors)
-1 lip butter
(**lipglass, lipgloss, lipstick)
-1 blush, 1 highlighter
-Most of my brushes

JoElla Avatar

I used to pack way too much. Now I just throw in a great Bobbi Brown palette, mascara, smashbox Halo, a bobbi brown foundation/concealer palette and a few lipglosses. Now if I could just pair down my skincare and not bring tons packing would be much easier for me!

Chicca Avatar

i’m packing at the moment! here’s my beauty bag: foundation, concealer, loose powder, 1 blush, 2 quads, 4 single eyeshadows, 1 gel liner, 3 eyeliners, 1 mascara.
brushes are in my home-made brush roll, and lipsticks (i think they’re 4, and 2 lipliners) are in my purse, as i usually carry them in it.
i know it’s pretty a lot of stuff but I’m going to use it also on a friend of mine!

Carolina Avatar

If I’m taking make up just in the unlikely case I might need it, I take a travel Clinique kit (blush, eyeshadows, lipsticks and gloss plus brushes and a mirror) in a really small pink case.

If I’m more seriously considering wearing makeup I take the whole shebang, which in my case is my medium sized makeup bag, with a handful of brushes, 2 fond-de-teint, 3 glosses, 3 or 4 lipsticks, 2 mascaras, a bronzer, 2 highlighters, 2 eyeliners (liquid and pencil) and a handful of eyeshadows. Plus, very, very important, make up removers (wipes if space constrained, separate face and eye cleansers if not): no use taking makeup if you can’t remove it afterwards. Talk about yuck!

Sally Avatar

Tinted moisturizer
Concealer
Powder compact (stays in my purse- not in my luggage)
Nars Blush OR Tarte Cheek Stain
Chanel Eyebrow Pencil in Taupe – has the little brush on the end <3
Small Eyeshadow duo (like L'Oreal HIP Pigments) OR a couple of MAC paint pots
Mascara
Easy to wear lip like Korres Lip Butter OR Tarte Lip Stain OR Chanel Bondi

I hate overpacking and that seems like alot!

Whippetlady Avatar

I put a little foundation in a trial size vial I got from the makeup counter. I love Estee Lauder Double Wear
I pack powder makeup for eyes and cheeks so it does not take up space in my precious 1 qt Ziplock o’ liquids. Usually I bring ONE chanel or MAC quad, and my ever present Bobbi Brown Pale Pink powder blush. Two 24/7 liners , in Zero and Bourbon. And one of my trial size mascara samples in whatever I have on hand.
Makeup is easy!
My skin care routine is the tough one to pack!

Shayna Marie Avatar

Well I just went on a trip and was proud of myself for not bringing too much! I brought the UD Naked palette which is perfect for just about every look! two color liquid eyeliners.two pencil eye liners, Black track Fluid-line from mac, Chap stick, a lip stain, two lip sticks, and my liquid foundation, concealer and setting powder…oh and two blushes! haha I guess that’s still a lot!

CaMesha Avatar

I pack too much as well. But I am getting better at it. My Mary Kay Tinter Moisturizer, bronzer, 1-2 blushes, lots of lip gloss and lipstick, Lancome Definicil mascara, and a few different eyeshaodws. I figure if I get a few palettes that will save me some work.

Jessika k Avatar

Oh gosh. Mac studiofix powder and liquid, studio finish and select cover up concealer, mac prep prime SPF 50, mac prep prime translucent powder, dainty blush, ladyblush creme blush, stereo rose MSF, atleast 4 lipsticks and glasses, mac pp, UD 24/7 liner in zero and grafitti, 15 mac palette and the 4 palette for my handbag. I can’t go nowhere without my lovelies<3

DolceAria Avatar

Last time i traveled I brought ALL my eye makeup, one foundation, one blush, and a few lippies. But I was visiting the family, and since they have a dislike of my makeup obsession, I usually went out of my way to rub their noses in it. I generally pack one, maybe two quads of shadow, and whatever skincare stuff I want. But then, I’m not usually gone more than overnight.

megan Avatar

My list sounds alot like yours Christine. I’ve become much better with packing my makeup for travel. I used to bring close to everything. I also pack the basic brushes: 2 shadow, 1 crease, 1/2 blending, 1 liner, and 1 blush brush.

Amber Avatar

I actually just got back from traveling… only a long weekend. I brought one eye shadow quad along with my paintpot. Eyeliner, mascara and foundation. For tools I brought my liner brush, a shadow brush and eyelash curler. I try to keep it as simple as possible when traveling.

Deb Avatar

Ohhh! This is always such a headache for me! I just took a 9 day vacation to Seattle, and I packed my UD Naked palette as well as a couple select bright single shades from MAC. I try to take 2 lipsticks (1 neutral, 1 dramatic) and 1 blush. I always have mascara, of course. It’s just so hard to pick what I think I’ll feel like wearing – ESPECIALLY shadow.

tremorviolet Avatar

Primer, foundation, powder, UDPP, 1 paint pot, 2-4 quads depending on length of stay, 1-2 blushes, brow powder, 1 fluidline, neutral lip liner, 2-3 lipsticks. I usually try to take a couple of good day wear looks and a good look for going out.

Leila Avatar

I take my guerlain parua aqua and travel meteorites touch clinique pressed powder Dior blush lancome eyeshadow palette Mac mineralize pink blush blankety lipstick from Mac and my Dior gloss. Lancome eyepencil and liquid liner. Mascara. Light and simple

Chiara Avatar

For long holidays (like 1 or 2 weeks), I’ll pack:
– foundation/powder/concealer/bronzer/mascara (1 of each)
– 1 pink blush
– 1 coral blush
– 1 black pencil eyeliner
– 1 black gel eyeliner
– 2 quads or premade palettes
– 1-2 single e/s
– 2/3 lipglosses
– 2/3 lipsticks
– brushes: foundation, blush, bronzer, eyeliner, shading, blending

vickie Avatar

i usually bring-
neutrogena health skin foundation
mac msf natural
neutral eyeshadow quad with
femme fi
orb
all that glitters
tempting
color quad to use as a pop of color with
deep truth
pressed pigments in spirtualize, violet, and chocolate brown. blacktrack and dipdown fluidlines
soft and gentle msf
angel and viva glam gaga lipsticks
extra amps and goldilocks dazzleglass and elf mineral lipgloss in twilight
mascara, eyeshadow base, baby wipes, and my brushes.

seems like a lot but it all fits in this gwp makeup bag i got from clinique

Nepenthe Avatar

I’ll take one e/s palette, and since I take out the dividers.. I put the blush/highlight/contour in there too. I usually go with a neutral eye, with a few colours for variation and a black for smoking things out. A black gel liner and a brown or charcoal pencil liner, mascara and a lash curler. 😀

2-3 lipsticks with one (occasionally two) lip glosses that work across the board and a neutral liner.

I like to be prepared, but it can easily get out of hand.. LOL

Courtney Avatar

It depends. Normally, I’ll just throw in the basics and whatever eyeshadow I’m currently into. However, when I travel for any place when I’m doing a costume, I have a very specific list of MU items for each look.

melissa Avatar

I will be traveling to Prague in a few weeks for a week long vacation….due to numerous issues with the airlines losing luggage (multiple occasions) and the number of layovers we have, I will be taking a weeks worth of clothing, makeup etc into my carryon suite case…yes how is this going to happen?!?!? I am still wondering this myself…I am thinking I will have to use this post for reference for everyones tips and will probably be purchasing all of my toiletries while there, or hitting up LUSH for some solid items before I leave…I am really dreading this, however I would rather pack light then lose my belongings or not have ANYTHING for the week! Im thinking mineral makeup as an all in one, bare minerals offers most coverage I think, 1 blush, an eyeshadow quad, mascara, a liner and a few different lips…
Thanks everyone!!!
🙂

Phyrra Avatar

I try to minimize what I bring, and bring things that coordinate. For Dragon Con I packed my foundation, 1 blush, and a few eye shadows that I could use interchangeably for different looks, as well as eyeliner, mascara, and 2 lippies.

Emma Avatar

Hmm..
Of course I take my basic stuff: primer, foundation, concealer, powder and brushes for that.
I try to not overpack so I only pack one or two blushes, a bronzer, couple of lipproducts and around 3 eyeshadows.

Nicole Avatar

I usually take too much makeup with me when I travel, because I never know which colors I will wear with my clothes.

Last weekend I packed:
5 MAC e/s quads, a concealer, 2 foundationes (1 powder and 1 liquid), a mascara, 3 eye liner, 4 glosses, 5 lipsticks, a blush, blot powder, a lip treatment, a nail polish and about 8 different brushes.

Chester Avatar

For short trips I take my daily make-up / touch-up bag** and just throw in a few more items. Usually a quad, foundation, mascara and primers.

For longer trips I take my daily make-up / touch-up bag** and add a couple more items depending on the events I planned for the trip. Usually 2 quads, foundation, mascara, primers, a non-neutral blush, 1 or 2 non-neutrals lipsticks, 1 or 2 lipglosses and a colored eyeliner or three.

** It is already packed with concealer, blot powder, neutral blush, neutral lipstick, black eyeliner, retractable powder brush and blush brush and some other necessities for staying fresh and presentable.

Thincspot Avatar

Ditto to your response Christine…almost exact in fact. I also include my foundation and concealer because my skin is too lackluster on it’s own.

Yumi Avatar

I mostly take the basics…at least 2 foundations, 2 lipsticks, 2 glosses, 2 blushes, mascara, 1 eyeliner pencil. Surprisingly I skimp on the eyeshadow palettes for traveling and don’t tend to bring much if at all since I’m usually too exhausted to get into it.

CeeBee Avatar

I pack heaps but I try and keep it to just one zip up case. I do the basics, foundation, concealer, powder (pressed compact), one or two eyeliners, a mini mascara (I have a stash of samples sizes), Tweezerman pocket eyelash curler (love!) and brow powder, then I decide on which palettes I want to take. I have couple of Chanel travel palettes with 4 e/s, blush and lip colours that are particularly work friendly (since I do mostly business travel) that don’t take up much space and a handy little credit card sized 10 colour Estee Lauder lip palette that gives me lots of options. If I have room left, I’ll chuck in whichever blushes I currently adore, a few single e/s and maybe a few glosses.

Though earlier this week I went to Auckland for a conference and came home with 9 new nail polishes, 11 eyeshadows, 3 blushes plus a single lipstick and gloss each… so maybe I don’t need to pack hardly anything!

Ashley D. Avatar

In a medium makeup bag, I’d pack my Shiseido Face Primer, Shiseido Mattifying Veil, Shiseido Concealer, Shiseido Liquid Foundation, Nars Blush/Bronzer Duo, MAC By Candelight MSF, Benefits Benetint, Maybelline Lipstain, MUFE Khol waterproof Eyeliner, MUFE Smokey Lash mascara (waterproof) Urban Decay Primer Potion, 2 Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palettes, My brush set: concealer brush, foundation brush, stippling brush, angeled blush brush, eyeshadow brush, crease brush, lip brush and liner brush. Then MAC makeup wipes, clinique makeup remover with cotton pads and q-tips.

kurisu Avatar

I usually take one blush, a bronzer, powder foundation, fluidline or pencil eyeliner, and 3 eyeshadows (or 1 palette). If I know that I will just be going somewhere for 1-2 days and I don’t need to dress up, I will only bring my lash curler and my pencil eyeliner!

I’m staying in Alaska for 2-4 months, depending on how long I want to stay to work and help out my sister. I brought all this makeup on my carry-on:

http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs424.snc4/46718_933874560764_3331023_50969083_121544_n.jpg
(MAC shadowy lady palette not pictured)

Holly Avatar

I pack too much.
I don’t really have a specific list of things I usually take. Whatever I’m hot on at that moment.
But it’s always definitely way too much.

Karen Avatar

For just about every destination (regardless of trip duration), my list looks something like this:
2 palettes
2 lipglosses
1 brow pencil
1 eyeliner
1 blush
1 mascara
1 set of travel sized brushes

But if I’m packing for Trinidad Carnival, add another 10-15 eyeshadows and 3-4 eyeliners into the mix.

Natalie Avatar

I take almost everything…I mean literally in gallon-sized Ziploc bags. It’s horrible! I packed ver lightly for Cali/Vegas but bought a ton while there since it was New Year’s Eve and I realized I left half my party stuff home! I have really tried to cut down though. Honestly, I’m not going to use all that makeup in Disney World when I can barely get out of bed, let alone line my eyes!

Now I take my TEMPTU system for foundation, blush, bronzer and highlighter. I will take one palette with an extra blush, bronzer, and highlighter in case I don’t want the very specific TEMPTU colors. I take MAC Hue and Creme d’Nude, 1-2 brighter corals/pinks, and MAC Red and Rimmel’s Alarm (I think). I take 1-2 black mascaras, 3 eye pencils (Smolder, Teddy, and whatever purple I’m feeling) and Subculture for lips. I’ll take 1 eye palette w/ 15 shadows as well. Then my necessary brushes, skin care, and that’s it! It sounds like a lot, but trust me, it’s much better than the time I took an entire carryon of MAKEUP to Disney!

Miss Silver Avatar

About half of my make up kit… OCD is hell when it comes to these situations. So to make it easier, I have this 30 second impulse pick; pick few items that have to fit into a small make up bag; so this works out well for me, as I pick basic items (according to my mood as well!) and if I can manage, I’ll squeeze an extra something in like a lip gloss of extra eye liner. Gaah!

Choices… and if I had a make up collection as big as Christine’s, I’d probably drive myself crazy trying to figure it out!

Or… I’ll end up dragging a suitcase JUST for make up. 😛
