It’s summertime and hot so I don’t wear much makeup. I’m wearing Mac Face & Body in N3, Hourglass bronzer, Tom Ford Incandescent the plum color as blush, dior brow pencil, Lancome Monsieur Big mascara and Mac lipstick in brave.
I’m wearing an all matte look with Dior Cool Palette. It is my everyday alternative to Viseart Liaison, but it takes a lot more work to blend, so I don’t wear it all the time
Skin: Catrice Foundation, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Medium Plus, Nars Orgasm blush, Kevyn Aucoin contour, MAC Double Gleam for highlight.
Eyes: Tarte Shape Tape for a base, MAC Brown Down eyeshadow, UD on the lid (some color from one of the neutral palettes), ABH brow wiz, black liner and lashes.
Lips: UD lipstick in Wonderland.
I have a FULL face on today.
I always confuse MAC Brown Down and MAC Ground Brown, but I love the pun you can get with their names. 😆
Those two eyeshadow colors showcase to me the difference of subtle undertones; their almost identical at a glance, but the slight taupe vibe of Ground Brown makes that color loo better on me than Brown Down.

It’s a long weekend here in Canada (today it’s Canada’s Day) and I’m at home right now wearing no makeup, except Patrick Ta’s Lip Gloss in Is She Younger Than Me.
No makeup on yet but yesterday, it was MAC Painterly (later topped off with the golden shade from Chanel’s Empreinte du desert), Australian Gold tinted sunscreen in place of any foundation, concealer and all the rest, Sephora Snakeskin Dress pencil liner (I thought I’d grabbed Cappucino but the Snakeskin Dress looked lovely), MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and UD Love Drunk lipstick.

Maybelline Dream Urban Cover in Porcelain (previously I used Catrice HD in Light Beige) & Fit Me concealer in Fair; Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Glow Powder (DCd, but I bought backups); L’Oreal GlamBronze in Light (now True Match Bronzer), True Match Lumi Glow Nude highlighter quad (I just use random shades at any given time), and Colour Riche Shine lipstick in Glossy Fawn; Revlon Ultimate All-In-One mascara (waterproof); tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty; NYX Microbrow Pencil in Black & IT Cosmetics Universal Brow Pencil. This is my typical “go-to” for work, and I just swap out eyeshadows. I’ve been playing with the Lancome Monsieur Big 12 Shades of Love palette; the shades don’t have names, and it’s broken up in quads, but none make sense for me, so I just randomly pick shades. The packaging/layout of the palette is beyond annoying, but the color story is absolutely amazing.
Since I have to run up to Sephora for refills on a few skincare items, plus one “goodie”, and have an appointment afterwards, I may be doing that plum/gold look with the aqua inner corner and lower lashline again today. Probably with a peachy-pinky nude lip. Glowy, similar shades on cheeks with bronzer. Gives me an excuse for wearing my only light blue print top! ???❤️?

Crease: MAC Your Wish is My Command bronzer slightly through the crease and then panic and take MAC Sculpt slightly through the crease until it’s just a neutral looking shadow, blend and diffuse like crazy
Upper lash line + tighline: Urban Decay dark brown liner (don’t know which), smudged til almost gone
Lower lashline + waterline: Sephora Flirting Game lower lashline, smudged til almost gone
Basically you put on everything and then blend it all away so there are just ‘hints’ of color.
Lashes: Shiseido Eyelash Curler, MAC Waterproof Haute & Naughty.

Lip liner: NYX Sand Beige lip liner to outline, MAC Kiss Me Quick lip liner to fill in

I also love MAC Sculp for crease work, I love a multi-tasker (it’s one of my favorite shades for contouring / neutral blush).
Just got back from Boise so in all honesty, I am still in bed teasing the cat and just generally feeling drained. So, it would be yesterday that I wore makeup and it was minimal.
Tatcha Primer, Guerlain L’Esential Foundation in 01N which is suppose to be neutral but pulls really warm on me and while I have been using it I don’t think I can really pull it off. It won’t launch in the US until September and I had it shipped here via Feel Unique. I am honestly shocked at how different this shade is than how it looked in the swatches and on the model. I was wondering if they sent me the wrong shade but the bottle is labeled with the 01N so I am likely just going to wait until September. Guerlain concealer, Becca Hydra-mist powder, Guerlain Meteorites blush, Guerlain Meteorites Finishing Powder in 02 Claire. Eyes are Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Cobblestone as a one and done shadow. I used Benefit Give Me Brow in whatever the lightest shade is, Blonde? For mascara I used Thrive Causemetics. I am almost done with this and am not sure where I am going next with mascara. For lips by new favorite, MAC in Natural Born Leader. This shade has proven to be very interesting for me. It seems to shift shades depending on what I am wearing or the other colours on my face. I am really liking it.
LM Cobblestone is on my list to buy sometime in the future. I have Amethyst and often use it when I’m pressed for time. Recently, I was getting ready for a night out and decided to do a purple eye. Well, everything went completely wrong and I had to start over, but it was almost time to leave. My one-and-done Caviar Stick saved the day!
I can’t tell you the number of times that has happened to me, Seraphine. In fact, it seems to happen almost anytime I am in a hurry and try to do something I haven’t tried before. I really like the LM Caviar Sticks for one and done looks. They are simple and wear really well for me. I have pretty much all of the purple/taupe ones and plan on picking up a couple more soon. I really wish she would release a few more colours.
Make up, esp in this community, is open and affirming. If you feel like doing a done and done, go for it. Just because you can design and blend five + colors, does not mean you have to. If you want to go full DQ, great. Retro, great. Warm neutral only, fine. 70s, 20s, 90s give it a shot. And if it didn’t work, you can take it off and try again. Just never disparage your skill level or lack of complexity.

All I’m wearing right now is the same Fanchromatic Nails polish I’ve been wearing since LAST Saturday. It’s quite chipped so I need to figure out where my nail polish remover ended up when we moved.
The last makeup I wore was whatever ABH brow pencil it is that I always use, and the Sephora Lashcraft mascara, for our date night this past Friday.

I’ve really been rotating between my palettes and wearing the same one for 3 looks in a row. Started this when Sunrise was delivered, moved to Juvias Place Nubian 3 Coral. I should have never worn it right after Sunrise, kept comparing them and Juvias Place doesn’t compare. After that Huda Neon Orange, hubby told me he liked the placement but wasn’t a fan of the bright colors. Tomorrow will be number 3 with Dominique Cosmetics Berries n Cream. Next up is Smashbox Punked. ?
It’s humid, warm, and stormy today. I didn’t wear makeup during the day, but I’m going out tonight, so I put on some. I couldn’t get too detailed with my eyes, because of the humidity, so I went fancier on my cheeks and lips. It turned out really pretty, if I do say so myself.

Sir John x Luminess The Lion King ‘Can’t Wait to be Queen’ eye palette. It’s gorgeous and worth the $42 that I paid for it. I added a little bit of Kat Von D Holographic Emerald in the inner corner. Coloured Rain Mocha liquid matte lipstick, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer as blush, Smashbox Hoodwitch Opti-Mystic highlight and my usual and my usual it Cosmetics CC+ with 50+ sunscreen. My go-to all year but especially now that summer is here, I’m in South Texas so I need my spf!

I had a simple glow-y beach look yesterday.
We took our boy (dog) to the beach yesterday and then spent the day out walking (it was Canada Day and a long weekend) so I knew I’d get plenty of sun.
When I know I’ll be out in the sun I wear by It Cosmetics CC+ Cream with 50spf in medium as my foundation.
Also, being summer, I wore my slightly darker concealer: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer set with Fenty Pro Filt’r in Lavender (to brighten).
I highlighted with CT Hollywood Flawless Filter then used Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer to contour and PF Butter Bronzer to bronze.
I brushed a combo of the pink and peach from Charlotte Tilbury’s Lovegasm ( I find the more you use this it seems to work better, like the top layer is too hard for my brush to pick up product, then as I break through, it gets softer?) palette across my cheeks and lids and used the highlighter from that palette on nose, inner tearduct and cheekbones.
Too Faced Peach Kiss matte lipstick in Doll Face, finished the look.

I went with a cherry red outfit for Canada Day, paired it with New Lover lip pencil from Nars and Inspiration highlighter from Laura Mercier as a glowy blush, with Dandelion Twinkle as a white-ish highlight.
