What is your signature scent?

If I had one, Tom Ford Oud Wood, but I don’t think I wear the same fragrance regularly enough that anyone would really associate me with a specific scent!

Despite my decent size makeup stash and somewhat expensive skincare routine, I only own 6 full-size fragrances. Out of those, only 3 get worn enough that those closest to me might attach those scents to me, namely: Fresh Life, Christian LaCroix Absinthe by Avon (LE) and Juicy Couture Couture (DC’d). I will absolutely need to find something close to the Juicy one before it runs out!

Before it was l’Instant de Guerlain.
Now is TF Jasmin Rouge and Guerlain’s Terracotta.
I love jasmin and most of sweet white flowers.
Guess same as the water melon, they remind me the summer vacations in my childhood.

With time my nose changed and I become more and more in love with natural flowers scents, and dislike more and more “perfume like” heavy scents.
Leather, spicy, wood, lavender scents had never being my favourites.

Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, though I don’t wear it much in colder weather. For me, it’s more like… six months out of the year, I reach for UJSLN 90% of the time. The other six months, there is no front-runner, really. Hermes Eau des Merveilles? Tocca Margaux? Atelier Orange Sanguine? BPAL Whip? Depends on my mood, so much.

Hermes Un jardin sur la toits alternating with Thierry Mugler Angel. Angel is hands down the one that I get the most compliments on. Men love it. I have had cab drivers comment on it.
I wore Chanel Allure until a relationship where it was significant ended.
I like the idea of a signature scent. I read a wonderful article about a woman who can smell her mother’s perfume and have instant recall of her.

On the day to day basis, I use Pink Chiffon from Bath and Body Works. However, if I really choose a signature scent it would be Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone. I love that smell so much and a lot of people know I’m around when I use that perfume, like I could be idk miles away and if they smell it, they like know I’m near by. XD

Philosophy Amazing Grace is such a comfort fragrance for me. It reminds me of Prada Iris, soft and clean. These are office work fragrances for me.

I’ve got a few. Maybe the one that stands out is Dior Addict (at the moment). In the summer Hermes Jour d’ Hermes and Chanel Cristalle, the EDP.

For many years I would lock onto a perfume and wear the same scent daily (over the years favourites included: Givenchy Ysatis, Givenchy Red, Miss Dior, Coco Mademoiselle), , but I cannot say that any longer, tend to gravitate more to artisan and masculine scents, so I do not feel I truly have one signature.

Perfumes I keep coming back to and wear frequently are TF Jasmin Rouge, Creed Jasmin l’imperatrice eugenie, Maison Martin Margiela untitled, and TF Noir pour femme.

Trish Avatar

I generally wear a different scent every day, but lately, I have been reaching for Tom Ford Velvet Orchid more often than my other favorites.

chris Avatar

During my 20s, it was Este Lauder’s Knowing. Now, I tend to gravitate towards specific notes (e.g woodsy, oriental florals). I have also discovered a great oil blend company in D.C. They have a spot-on Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla.

Personally, I think having a signature scent is rather boring because I like to wear a different type of fragrance to suit the occasion and the season. If I could only afford one fragrance; however, it would be Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur.

For many years, Arpege was my signature scent. I still wear it…especially the vintage. However, I now have quite a collection of fragrances and switch them around a lot.. Recently I have been reaching for
L’Instant by Guerlain.

Christy Avatar

I switch it up a lot, but Vero Profumo Mito edp (green citrus, galbanum, magnolia, cypress) probably comes closest. Others I wear most frequently are Frederic Malle Lys Mediterranee (ginger lily, saltwater), Ormonde Jayne Ta’if (rose, saffron, dates, broom), and Parfums de Nicolai l’Eau Chic (geranium, mint, lavendar).

I tend to wear Fracas but switch around, when I feel blue I put on Chanel No 5 because it reminds me of my mom…I’ve heard that’s a pretty thing common thing to do

Versace bright crystal. It is strong and romantic without giving me a headache. My
Other favorite scent (that I stopped wearing for bright crystal) was Jessica Simpson fancy love. Ugh! So good and warm.

Roma Avatar

It’s probably for me at the moment – Dot by Marc Jacobs, I’m in love with the Marc Jacobs stuff, particularly Daisy, Daisy Dream, Honey. But I have a sentimental attachment to the DKNY Apple one

Anne Avatar

I’ve recently fallen in love with Coco Mademoiselle even though I never tend to go for the more floral/feminine scents. It’s so nice! I think it will probably be the next fragrance I buy, though I tend to wait a while in between buying. Maybe someone will get it for me around Christmas if I’m lucky.

Kayt Avatar

I tend to change with the season. I have 4 or 5 scents that I rotate throughout the year. I enjoy the complexity of fragrance chemistry too much to stick to just one scent all year.

Spring: Marc Jacobs — Daisy
Summer (Day): Martin Margiela — Replica Beach Walk
Summer (Night): Dior — J’adore
Fall: Fossil — 1954
Winter: Yves Saint Laurent — Belle d`Opium

I also don’t wear one enough to make it my signature scent and I have HUGE collection of perfumes.
However, one I wore recently that I haven’t worn a lot of and adore is Christian Dior’s La Dolce Vita.
A scent that I would love to make my own (if it wasn’t so darn expensive) is Aerin’s Waterlily Sun. A beautiful fresh scent.

Lanvin Arpège ‘Éclat d’Arpège’. This is my go to for every occasion even though I have so many to chose from but I can not think of anything like it. This fragrance says me in a bottle.

I have too many favorites to have a signature scent. I love L’Artisan Ananas Fizz, Tom Ford Black Orchid and Tobacco Vanille, Prada Candy, Serge Lutens Un Bois Vanille, Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess and Azuree, Nanadebary Pink, Luctor and Emergo People of the Labyrinth and Shalimar.

Anne Avatar

My signature scent(s) are Flowerbomb, Miss Dior EDT, and Nina by Nina Ricci. I love sweet, feminine scents. I can’t get enough of Flowerbomb and Miss Dior. I save Nina for special occassions.

Kai Avatar

For me it depends on the season. Fall/winter Donna Karen cashmere mist, or VS dream angels Heavenly. Summer Jo Malone nectarine blossom and honey. Spring Vera Wang princess or Marc Jacobs Lola.

Bitts Avatar

I’ve been wearing Estée Lauder Sensuous every day for about 5 years now. I want it to be the scent my children associate with me for the rest of their lives, so I’m really intentional about never wearing any other fragrance.

Beth Lincoln Avatar

Chloe and Jo Malone Peony & Blush are my two favorites that I wear the most, but I rotate in Michael Kors Glam Jasmine and Philosophy Amazing Grace pretty regularly.

Bibi Avatar

Hmmm….I have a few.
Spring/Summer, All ‘white flowers’ – Michael Kors Michael, Houbigant Orangers en Fleurs. Frederic Malle Carnal Flower, Beyond Love by Killian, Michael Kors Very Hollywood, Monyette
Fall/Winter- All ‘spicy & sugary’- Tihota, Lolita Lempicka, Laura Biagiotti’s Roma, Thierry Mugler’s Alien, Prada Candy, and my guilty pleasure- Aquolina’s Pink Sugar

I wear Dior J’Adore exclusively for a few reasons. I fell in love with the fragrance way back in 2000 and it became my signature scent. Also, I’ve developed a sensitivity to scents that are too strong so, a lot of perfumes give me headaches, however, J’Adore doesn’t.

Megz Avatar

Angel. Yes, it’s super popular and can be overwhelmingly strong without due diligence, but I truly love it and makes me really feel some deep emotions.

Becky Avatar

Burberry Brit! I’ve been wearing it since high school, to the point where my best friend can’t even get a whiff of it without thinking of me. I will always be loyal to that fragrance. Beyond that, I love Prada Amber in the winter and Tocca Cleopatra in the summer.

Laly Avatar

I love TF Portofino and Chanel Eau Premier, especially during summer time here in Abu Dhabi. For colder weather, Jadore by CD, Si by Georgio Armani, and Prada Candy are my absolute favorites.

AmandaaaYG Avatar

Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker! I’ve been using it since I was 15 (I’m 22 now), and I just haven’t found another scent like it. It’s the only perfume I’ve ever owned that EVERYONE seems to like. I’m always getting compliments on it when I wear it 🙂

BonnieJ Avatar

I actually have three:

For night it’s Chanel’s COCO, “the sultry Chanel.”

For day, most of the time, Jo Malone’s English Pear and Freesia

For days I just want to feel prettier, I spritz on a mix of Jo Malone’s Red Roses and her Pomangranate Noir.

jaz Avatar

Ummm, my signature scent is clean, like soap or laundry detergent. I don’t wear perfume on a regular basis, and when I do its something sexier like Gucci guilty black

Pasheeda Morris Avatar

I have two signature scents. They are Les Creations de Monsieur Dior Forever and Forever by Dior and Elisabethan Rose by Penhaligon’s of London. They’re my go-to scents for all occasions.
