Dior Addict Lipstick (old formula) in 714 New York. It’s a great no-fuss color that dresses up or down and the formula is super hydrating. I’m on my last tube right now and am hoping there’s a similar shade in the new range.

Georgina Avatar

I’ve been using MAC Yield To Love (LE) the most over the Fall/Winter but as the weather is getting warmer I’ve started reaching for Urban Decay Ladyflower sheer lipstick as my go-to.

I don’t know for sure. That I’m still using regularly…probably my HG red lipstick, Max Factor Moisture Rich Lipstick Creme Rouge 537. It’s a bright, warm, slightly shimmery red cream. I’ve been using this shade the longest out of anything else that I currently own. I’ve been using it the better part of a decade (not the same tube; I’ve been through a few). Max Factor pulled out of the US around 2010, so I have no idea if this is still being made. I bought back-up tubes.

Was I supposed to put currently most used? I switch around too much to actually know which single one, but these are probably my most used: Wet n Wild Fergie in Bebot Love, Nyx Butter Lipstick in Pops, UD Sheer Rapture, Sephora Rouge Cream in Cougar, Nyx Wicked Lippie in Trickery and Cold Hearted, Jcat Pout-holic in Man Candy Mon, MAC La Vie En Rouge, Nyx Suede Cream in Stone Fox, and Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop in Berry Bomb (tinted lip balm, but close enough).

I have a feeling MAC Finally Free and So Select are both going to be in heavy, long-term use.

It is perfect and so beautiful. The shade is so unique and it last for so long. I think Jeffre Star creates my favorite liquid lipsticks!
I got mine because he said when the restock was done on his instagram ?

Captive was a fairly new purchase for me too (past year, maybe). Seeing as we like so many of the same shades, you might want to check out “Red Necessity”. It’s one of the “Huggable” lip colours and was recently made permanent.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. It really looks like something I’d love. I’m heading with my sister to MAC today so I’ll be trying it out.

Rimmel Keep Mauving. It’s moisturizing, the color is a bit more than MLBB and it stains the lips so still looks good when it’s off. I change lipsticks everyday but this one is always in my bag. It is almost gone after a few months (all-year color) and I am considering repurchasing.

Gillian Avatar

Definitely Chanel Rouge Allure in Darling. It was limited edition so I’m trying, and failing, to ration it! It’s the one I reach for when I don’t know what lipstick to wear because it’s a MLBB kind of shade. It’s just the perfect lipstick for me and I’ll be sad when I finish it. ?

I almost never wear lipstick (I’m a gloss girl for sure), but I did pick up UD Sheer Rapture during Ulta’s last 21 Days sales and I like the color, so I’ve worn it a few times. Guerlain Gems is gorgeous though- I wish I could find a good dupe… in a gloss 🙂

Julia Avatar

Thank you – I did see that and I thought about nabbing Sheer Beso, but since it seems very similar to Rapture and I rarely reach for lipsticks, I think it would be a pretty frivolous purchase. Easy to skip now since it’s OOS, ha! I saw today that they are doing the 50% off at Ulta and Sephora, too – makes me wonder if there’s a reformulation coming.

Lauren Schroer Avatar

By far for me it’s the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvellous Mauve. I use it almost daily and my tube of it is just about empty!

Nicole Avatar

I have quite a few lipsticks that I love, but I find myself reaching most often for sheer formulas. So, Clinique Black Honey, Lipstick Queen Saint formula (I have Saint Nude, Saint Pinky Nude and Saint Berry), Laura Geller Italian Marble Lipstick in Dolce. Though, I have to admit that I wear lip liner + lip gloss more often than any of these.

Amanda Avatar

Probably Bite’s Lush Lip Tint in Watermelon (if you count that formula as a lipstick). It’s the one I keep in my bag to put on when I’m out and about. It has enough pigmentation to give my pale lips some color but a natural enough pink that I can apply it without a mirror. Other than that, I rotate my lipsticks based on season. Watermelon is a good year round shade.

Erin Avatar

Tough, I use Fresh Balms, Lipstick Queen Medieval, and Burt’s Bees tinted balms most. For an actual true lipstick, it would probably be Revlon Cherries in the Glow or Black Cherry. Based on the history of my life. As for current use… Bite’s Matte Pencils, NARS Pencils both satin and matte, and UD’s Gwen Stefani shades are my total true lip color rotation. I’m saving my Bite Luminous Creme stash for winter use.

Kylie5 Avatar

The lipsticks I use When I go to work.
Mostly Mac Mehr LE and Lime Crime countessa fluorescent, really Different colours but I Love both and they Are very Long wearing
On the other days I wear a Different colour every day because I have soooo many lipsticks. Probably Will Never be able to use them up.

Glenda Avatar

I use predominately drugstore lippies because I go through lipsticks like nobody’s business. (I reapply several times a day – no matter the brand). Right now, I’m loving the Maybelline Creamy Mattes in Divine Wine (wearing it now), Touch of Spice. I also like Nyx and Clinique’s Pop Color (or Color Pop).

Sarah Avatar

ColourPop Contempo, ELF Tea Rose (matte lip crayon), and my holy grail: some unlabeled City Color creamy round lipstick from a five-piece lipstick set. I bought it at TJ Maxx with the sole intention of “let’s see what colors actually look good on me besides nude” and y’allllll it’s the exact raspberry pink that you’d wear for a job interview. It’s the best and I’m scared to run out!

Deborah S. Avatar

My favorite everyday lipstick is MAC Twig but for special occasions or when I just want to feel special I love Elizabeth Arden “Red Door Red” and I love it even more now that I can choose to matte it with Smashbox mattifier some of the time.

MAC Coral Bliss and Too Faced la creme in Taffy.
Can you tell it’s been summer here in Australia? 😉
It’s still hot here so I’m still using my favourite summer shades but once the weather actually cools, MAC Viva Glam V will be in my bag 24-7. I nearly used a whole tube last winter!!!

Arpita Avatar

Since I go to work everyday; the most applied lipsticks are the ones with neutral shades. Though I donot like plain browns or mauves( clashes with the rosy color of my lips); i go in for shades which are neutral; but with a reddish undertone. I try to rotate my lippies… At present, the most applied ones are Soft Rose by Bobbi Brown, Brigitte by Nars, Beauty by Clinique; and on some days, On Hold by Mac.

Kaye Avatar

I have two all time favorites, both are MAC (although I probably have 30 that I rotate, these I’ve bought multiple times and have back-ups in my stash): Patisserie and Pink Aperitif.

Liesl Avatar

It’s so difficult because I do try to rotate, but overall I’d say my most worn nudes are KVD Lovecraft, KVD Agatha, and Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink. My most worn colorful lipsticks are Nars Rita, OCC Pagan, and KVD Countess. Overall in the past 7 months or so I wear neutral lip colors more often than anything else.

Jessica Avatar

My YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in #9. I’m scraping it out with a lip brush and will be the first lipstick I ever use up in all my years of wearing makeup! It’s insane!

Anne Avatar

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine # 9 Nude in Private
UD Lovelight
Clinique Black Honey
(all are glossy to sheer, so am not sure they’re lipstick per se, but they are my most used)

Chacha Avatar

hummmm…That question drive me ashamed because i have so many lipsticks so i havent a lipstick who is going to be finished or any half lipstick 🙁 Except one because i use it everytime when i go outside for a “no makeup makeup” ,so its the most used: Burberry lip mist in heather pink
And i think the most used are
Guerlain Rouge G in Mme Batifole
Mac satin lipstick in Rebel

Lisa Avatar

My absolute two favorites… EL pure color envy sculpting, all shades are great! And Shiseido perfect rouge. What a great lipstick, every shade I own. Love the formula of both of these.

Claire L Avatar

I’m using NARS Rikugien quite a bit at the moment when I’m not wearing one of my other lipsticks, or Maybelline’s Baby Lips in pink. I still have a pinky nude lipstick from Rimmel that I’ve had for ages (I forget what it’s called as I’m in Paris at the mo) that I use from time to time as it’s a great nude for me.

REVLON COLORSTAY RELENTLESS RAISAN AND MAYBELLIENE GRAPE JUICE NO 350 IT IS THEIR 24 HOUR SUPERSTAY DUAL ENDED LIPCOLOR

AND I OCCASSIONALY WEAR MAX FACTOR LIPFINITY NUMBER SHADE IS GLEAMING AND NUMBER 86 AND HAS BEEN DISCONTIUED

Maya Avatar

Mine was unfortunately discontinued and I still can’t find any substitute for that… Dior serum in various shades. The best lipstick ever tried.

Laura Haslam Avatar

Definitely Burberry Oxblood Lip Mist, followed by Clinique High Impact After Party. I adore the finish, taste/smell and shade of the Burberry one, it’s a perfect vampy red. I will definitely repurchase when it’s run out.

Laura Avatar

Colourpop Topanga. On me it’s an exact dupe for Bite Sweet Cream, which would’ve been holy grail if I didn’t hate the Amuse Bouche formula so much. The CP Lippie Stix perform much better for me which is kind of hilarious. You won’t hear me complaining about my favorite costing $5 rather than $26!

Cathrin Figur Avatar

I love Clinique’s “Papaya Pop”! It really warms up my compexion. I have been wearing MAC “Viva Glam V” a lot and Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in “Boy”.

Erica Avatar

Now if we’re talking what lipstick I am currently using it would be Buxom Sinful Cinnamon, MAC’s Brave or Gorgio Armani’s Rouge d’armani lipstick #103. I use Lipstick Queen Jean Queen and NARS Belle du Jour a lot too. But MAC’s Viva Glam V is still the most used over all!

Holly Avatar

Maybelline Colorsensational in Rose Rush. I love the formula and the color goes with so many looks. It’s the perfect rose/red/coral shade.

Mo Merrell Avatar

OOh this is a toughy, Let me think on this one.
I js sat at my desk thinking for about 45 seconds and I couldn’t come up with one. I do have my most used brands; BiTE, Anastasia, Dose of Colors, Smashbox, and Kiko Cosmetics

Ellen Avatar

Probably MAC Touch with Hover liner, great for redheads!! I know Touch is generally worn by darker complected individuals, but I find it sheer enough, and the perfect mix of brown with peachy pink, to work perfectly for me. Change the liner and you can change the color. Second would be Clinique Pure Posh, the perfect warm brown. Again, can change the color a bit by changing liners. Brown for brown and reddish brownn for a redder tone. I must own 50 lipsticks, and I am always on the lookout for more, but these two have been purchased repeatedly, I should probably just stop looking!! I am intrigued by MAC Twig, Ii wonder if it would work for me?
