Hourglass G*psy Eyeshadow Duo on eyes with Burberry Trench to highlight the brow bone, Bobbi Brown Chocolate Eyeliner, Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation, Guerlain Voilettes Mineral Powder to set, and whatever gloss/lipstick is nearby. Five minutes!

Hmn, I change my look pretty much every day, but lately since I’ve been really gung-ho about HE brands it’s mostly been these things in some way:
Eyes – Burberry Rosewood, Burberry Pale Barley, Dior Garden Roses palette.
Lips – Burberry/Guerlain/Bobbi Brown lip gloss (this varies, but a natural look) and almost every morning Dior Lip Glow.
Cheeks – Dior Rosy Glow in Petal, Chanel horizon or Burberry Cameo.
Covergirl “Mink” all over lid, whatever beige/highlight I can grab to blend towards browbone, Tony Moly gel liner winged out, whatever mascara nearby, Skin79 Hot Pink bb cream, and whatever lip product I grab first. Lol, I’m such a lazy one.
If I do the whole routine in one sitting, it takes 10-15 minutes.
Face: foundation, peach blush, concealer, and maybe powder.
Eyes: Define brows, tightline with green or black liner and put green liner on lower lashline, and curl my lashes.
Cheeks: Avon [Mark] berry red lip stain.
I’ve been sticking to a singular look lately:
Face: Bobbi Brown stick foundation and setting powder
Cheeks: Physicians Formula Mood Boosting Blush in Rose
Eyes: From the Naked palette, I’ve been using Smog all over the lid, Naked in the crease to blend it out, and Virgin in the inner corners and to highlight the brow bone. UD 24/7 liner in Zero and Lancôme Hypnose mascara.
Lips: Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Nude Rose (or Rosy Nude… I forget)
I am a neutrals girl all the way. I love my looks to be very natural, so I only switch out my lip stick to either a “my lips but better” color, a classic red, or a wearable berry or pink. But my eye look is pretty much the same since August or September (I know!) I have been using Wet n Wild’s Walking on Eggshells (on my 2nd palette of this, by the way) with Make Up for Ever’s Aqua Creams in 12,13, and 15 as a base. I wear the look with a crisp wing liner using my MAC blacktrack or if I’m in a hurry, I use K-Palette’s 24 hr. Tattoo Eyeliner, Maybelline Falsies, and on my cheeks I use the Aqua Cream in 5 as a base and use Nars Orgasm on the apples and Luster on the cheeks blended with Hoola as a contour and High Beam as a highlight 🙂 And yes, this has been my signature look since last year! 🙂
Right now it’s a very simple due to time constraints –
Eyes: Sephora (or whatever brand I have on hand) liquid liner, winged out at the edges in a gentler cat eye.
Face: Maybelline Cream Mousse blush in Soft Plum. (Maybelline FIT foundatin if I have time.)
Lips: Whatever lipstick I have on hand, but usually a muted red or fuschia.
Eyes: Venetian Tarnish Metal-X shadow blended up to the brow with Feline to line
Cheeks: Fresh Honey or Early Morning Mineralize blush
Lips: Legendary Mattene as a stain
OR
Party Parrot on the lips and some black cat eye liner with Aurora pigment in the crease.
Face: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, and MAC MSF Natural.
Cheeks: NARS Deep Throat or NARS Taos with a little NARS Laguna.
Eyes: MAC Blacktrack Fluidline then I line the upper and lower lashline (black kohl liner on top and matte black powder shadow on bottom), and then I coat the lashes with lots of black mascara. Brows filled with MAC Charcoal Brown.
Lips: Lip balm or a sheer rosy balm or stain.
Takes somewhere between 5-10 minutes. Most of these products are staples that I’ve used for years. The only recent addition is the integration of NARS Taos, but it quickly rose to the top of my blush favorites.
Foundation: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua
Cheeks: NARS Blush Gina or Orgasm
Eyes: Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #13 (champagne)
Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara
Gosh eyeliner in brown
Lips: Usually a Bright Colour or NARS Roman Holiday.
Time: 10-15mins 🙂
My everyday makeup takes me about 15 minutes. This might seem like a lot for some people but I have to look smart for my job
Face: L’oreal studio secrets anti-shine primer,Rimmel lasting finish 24 hour, Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer,Maybelline dream matte powder, Too faced chocolate soleil bronzer, Benefit coralista
Eyes:UDPP,UD sin on lid, MAC cork in crease, blanc type as highlight and concrete through brows, dark brown eyeliner (whichever is to hand!),Estee Lauder sumptuous mascara
Lips: Clarins instant light lip perfector in 01
I currently have on lash extensions so I go lighter on the eyeliner and eye shadows. Lately I’ve just been wearing shadow and some mascara on my eyes. I’ve been using sculpt foundation by MAC, prolong wear concealer, and shell as a highlighter.
The only thing that changes would be my eyes, lips or cheeks. Also depends on my mood and what I am wearing, it’s a split between the below.
Currently:
Face: Lorac oil free foundation, Arbonne powder, Lancome Rénergie eye multiple action concealer, NYX bronzer, blush (ULTA Pressed Mineral Blush, Physicians Formula Happy Booster, Tarte Amazonian Clay or Napoleon Perdis Blush Patrol)
Eyes: Calvin Klein brown eyliner (for brows), NYX jumbo, Calvin Klein cream shadow, Hard Candy mini shadows (silvers and golds), Hard Candy fiber mascara, Estée Lauder mascara and a random black eyeliner.
Lips: EOS balm, random liner, Lorac 3-d gloss, B&BW lipgloss, CG lipstick, MAC lipstick and a Calvin Klein gloss.
Face: any BB Cream and Guerlain Meteorites
Cheeks: I am trying to hit pan with The Body Shop Roseflower blush, so it’s been that on the cheeks lately.
Lips: same a cheeks, doing Project 10 Pan, so I have been using the Body Shop lipstick in a blue-based fuchsia pink
Eyes: usually a neutral cream shadow, like Benefit R.S.V.P. Or Stila Shadow Pot in Honey or Amber. If I have more time, then may be I’ll dab some more colorful powder shadow on top.
okay, this may be a silly question but what exactly does “BB” stand for in “bb cream”???? I don’t get out much (with a newborn) LOL!!
Pro longwear foundation (i dont need to powder my face with this foundation), mufe full cover concealer, mac satin taupe on eyes, nars night breed in outer corners and crease, avon supershock gel liner (I LOVE, SO PIGMENTED), collection 2000 liquid eyeliner pen, benefit bad gal mascara, mac blunt as contour, Mac x-rocks blusher, Nars copacabana multiple as highlight. Mac cherish lipstick on lips with Mac vino lined around the edge and blended in.
I know it sounds like lots of work, but it really does take 20 minutes to do!
FACE: MAC prep&prime spf 50, bourjois healthy mix serum foundation, MAC well dressed, MAC harmony, Dior amber diamond highlight, MAC mineralize skinfinish natural to set.
EYES: MAC painterly paint pot, urban decay sin e/s all over lid, clinique chocolate chip e/s as liner and crease, clinique lash power mascara
LIPS: MAC viva glam cyndi lipstick.
Approx 20 minutes!
Urban Decay Naked Palette Sin + Buck, gel liner for the upper lash line, Urban Decay Bourbon or Whiskey on the lower lash line (smudged out with Darkhorse). Some concealer and mascara, MAC Tea Petal on cheeks, and maybe some lipstick. It’s probably 10 minutes.
Hmmmm – probably Benefit’s Creaseless Cream shadow in RSVP as a base, and their Up in Smoke or WnW Nutty on the outer 2/3 of the lid and in the crease. GOSH Metallic Brass liner (their liners are so good), MAC Dollymix on my cheeks with a bit of By Candlelight if I need some “glow” and Plumful or Revlon Berry Smoothie Lip Butter on my lips. Oh, on my face, MAC Pro Longwear concealer and Pur Minerals 4-in-1 (it is so much faster than liquid foundation!)
Face: MUFE HD Foundation, MAC Prolong Wear Concealer, MAC MSFN to set, and MAC Warm Soul on cheeks, contoured with Bourjois Bronzer
Eyes: Sin on lid, sidecar outer lid, buck and naked in crease, some eyeliner, and covergirl mascara
Lips: Revlon Creme Brulee lip butter
I don’t really have a go to look. I always try to change it up but I guess I’ve reworn this a couple of times. Its a matte cool toned eye and red lips. Loreal infallible e/s in endless pearl(matte skin tone shade) all over lid, maybelline color tattoo e/s in tough as taupe(matte taupe) in the crease, very subtly winged black liner. Mac warm soul blush or nars sin just on the back upper part of my cheeks, not too far in. And lips lined with mac brick with clinique spiced apple(very wearable brick red shade, not too bright). I can do it super fast like 5 min and about 4 of those are spent on the liner.
Eyebrows done with NYX dark brown pencil. Cream blush, usually by NYX. And a berry lip.
I’ve been feeling taupe lately.
I use WnW Brulee as an undereye concealer, a light taupe eyeshadow (usually either Covergirl Tapestry Taupe, Rimmel Backstage or Fyrinnae Sacred) as a wash, then I use whatever coral/pink lipstick looks best with my clothes. I might use Milani Luminoso blush if I feel like it.
If I know what I want to use, it takes me less than 5 minutes. If I’m feeling indecisive about what lipstick looks best (which is most of the time), it might take 10. Sometimes I try on like 5 lipsticks before I settle on one of them…
My go-to look is pretty much hasn’t changed. On my eyes I do elf mineral eyeshadow in celebrity. I don’t like all their products but that is the most perfect eyeshadow for me, and all I need to finish my eyes is full n’ soft mascara. Then all I need is NARS orgasm blush, and Tarte lip tint in perky.
Eyes: TFSI, MAC Patina on the lid, MAC Brun in the crease and outer v. UD 24/7 liner in Zero, Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara.
Face: MAC Select Moisturecover Foundation NC45, MAC Select Sheer face powder NC55, MAC Select Cover Concealer NC45
Cheeks: MAC Mineralize blush Love Joy
Lips: Jack Black lip balm
Takes about 20-25 minutes and 10-15 if I skip foundation and powder which I do often.
face: Nars Sheer Glow in Mont Blanc, Laura Mercier Finishing Powder, Tarte blush in Exposed
Eyes:UD Naked Palette, sin on the lid, toasted in the creases and virgin to highlight, Clinique black honey gel liner on upper lack line
Lips: any lipgloss thats handy
What about mascara Christine?
I use shade from the NYX Nude on Nude Natural palette (you can’t go wrong with this one) and finish with kajal liner, mascara, and a neutral lipstick like Revlon Toast of NY or Spicy Cinnamon.
MUFE Aqua Cream #1 (sparkly charcoal) under Giorgio Armani ETK #13 (I think, the black one), MUFE Aqua Black (cream black) on lower lashline, Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Mirifique (sparkly black) on the upper lashline. This is the first look I can remember doing exactly the same way more than once. I really like an all black eye.
Oh, and it takes me about 10 minutes.
Face: Cle De Peau Powder Foundation (The one in the white packaging, I think it’s only available in Asia :/)
Eyes: Cle De Peau Eyeshadow #208 (It came out on January 21st in Japan. I think it comes out sometime in February everywhere else.) and Imju “mylash” Mascara
Lips: Cle De Peau Lip Luminizer #201 Sweet Lychee (It came out on January 21st in Japan. I think it comes out sometime in February everywhere else.)
NOTE: I DO NOT work for Cle De Peau, I promise. I just REALLY like their cosmetics. ^^ I’m one of those people who REALLY appreciates Christine’s reviews on Cle De Peau cosmetics. So, thank you Christine for helping peeps like me out~!! ♥
Sounds like a lot, but easy five minute look – Maybelline Dream Mousse Liquid all over, MUF HD Power or Maybelline Translucent, MAC Solar Riche Bronzer on contours, Rapidblack liner on lid over Sable or Carbon Shadow, two coasts Maybelline Volume Express, MAC Charcoal Brown on brows and Creme de Le Femme on Lips with Wet and Wild Clear Pink Glosss.
Go to look:
FACE: Nars Sheer Glow – Tahoe
EYES: MAC Naked Pigment on the lid, Urban Decay Naked E/S on the crease and blended up and Shroom on my brow bone and in my tear duct
CHEEKS: MAC Gingerly
LIPS: Jack Black and Freckletone Lipstick
I set everything with a little Blot Powder in Dark. Finito!
My easy look is <3 minutes: mascara and lip balm, maybe some black eyeliner.
If I do a full face, it's at least 15 – Mufe foundation, smashbox blush, benefit hoola to contour, Mac lighscapade to highlight, black eyeliner, mascara. Eyeshadow is optional, and my lipstick varies a lot!
Hey Christine, which Les Violettes do you use to set with, Beige Naturel?
My go to routine:
Eyes – Something from either the Balm’s Nude’Tude or Urban Decay Nude palette all over eye with the Balm’s overshadow in either You buy, I’ll Fly or If you’re rich I’m single. Then line with Urban Decay pencil in Bourbon
Cheeks – MAC mineralize skinfinish in So Ceylon
Lips – Fresh lip balm in Passion for a non fussy red 🙂 Lately though I’ve been switching it up with Lipstick Queen Saint Rust!
Standard weekday look: Tarte Smooth Operator tinted moisturizer, Make Up For Ever Cotton Candy blush on cheeks, MAC Ricepaper all over lids & browbone, Anastasia brow pencil to fill in brows, Blinc Mascara and NARS Dolce Vita lipstick or whatever nude gloss is handy. 5 minutes!
Clinique foundation, set with ELF powder. Eyes: Mac bare study, pat on any gold eye shadow to lid, add a cream color highlight, line with UD 24/7 liner in whisky. Add mascara, blush, lipstick or gloss. Done.
I don’t have a signature go-to look. I rarely use the same eye products. If I do, I won’t have on the same lip or cheek color.
Christine! For shame! It seems criminal that a girl who looks so stunning in every blush out there should have a go-to look that involves no cheek color whatsoever 😉
this is going to sound like a lot lol but this is what I do the most for work/when I have no idea what to do:
Face: Diorskin airflash foundation, Diorskin nude to set, Soleil de Tan de Chanel bronzer, Sleek blush in Pan-Tao
Lips: MAC kissable lip colour in So Vain
Eyes: Inglot 390 and 360 on crease, MAC brule on browbone, any shimmery e/s or MUFE aquacream no. 13 on the lid, mascara and black e/l!
Laura Mercier concealer in 6 , eyeliner , Inglot shadows ( brown and gold, dont know the numbers ), lots of mascara and what ever lip color I grab
“What is your current go-to look? How long does it take you to apply it?”
For me, it really depends on my mood how much I do on my eyes, but on an idea day/one when I have lots of time and energy, this is the kind of typical look includes the following that I’ve been doing lately (alternates listed because I’ve really been trying to switch up which blush I use, use more fun-colored liners, etc.):
1. [Moisturize with Olay oil-free spf 15 in small white bottle, slather thick coat of petroleum jelly on lips]
2. Prime: either Mac Prep & Prime or Smashbox Photo Finish
3. Spray e.l.f. Mist & Set all over face, let dry until slightly tacky
4. Foundation: either Revlon Colorstay in Ivory (applied with damp sponge) or MAC Studio Sculpt in NC15 (applied with kabuki brush)
5. MAC Studio Fix concealer in NC15 to cover undereye circles and blemishes, pat on JANE Setting Powder in Translucent with finger to set concealer
6. ~Sometimes~ e.l.f. All Over Color Stick in Pink Lemonade as blush base, then –
7. Blush: Either e.l.f. blush in Tickled Pink, Youngblood Crushed Mineral Blush in Sherbet [HG!!!], or MAC Blushbaby
8. Bronzer: Tigi Bed Head Glamma Bronzer in Light to contour cheekbones, sometimes jawline/forehead as well [brand was discontinued]
9. JANE Setting Powder in Translucent patted into skin with wedge to set foundation
10. Curl lashes
11. Highlight: either Maybelline Lunar Energy Super Lasting Glow Liquid Shimmer in Pink or MAC Prismique e/s brushed lightly across tops of cheekbones
11. Fill in gaps/define eyebrows with Maybelline Expert Wear Brow Pencil in Blonde, set with tiny bit of hair gel and then hairspray to keep in place
12. Apply MAC Paint Pot in Painterly all over lid from lashline to browbone
13. Apply browbone/highlight shade – lately it’s been MAC shades, either Shroom/Vanilla/Blanc Type/Phloof!
14. Do a lot of pretty lid and crease color work, using MAC shades, usually picking and choosing from my favorite mid-tone neutrals and accent shimmers – Brule/Wedge/Cork/Espresso/Amber Lights/Antiqued/Print/Woodwinked/Black Tied/Beauty Marked/Patina/Coppering/Expensive Pink/Twinks/Cranberry/a couple others that I can’t remember, grr… it’s going to bother me until I remember, haha!.. or adding in my favorite brights, Lucky Green/Fig. 1/Star by Night
15. Apply black eyeliner to upper and lower waterlines/tightline, apply on upper and lower lashlines, apply eyeshadow over liner if applicable for my desired look that day
16. Re-curl lashes if necessary and apply 2-3 coats of Maybelline The Falsies mascara to top and bottom lashes
17. Spray face with e.l.f. Mist & Set
18. Apply Youngblood Hi-Definition Mineral setting powder to face and blend well
**ta-daaaaa!**
So, depending on how many of the steps I choose to skip (often blush/bronzer/highlighter/liner), and given that I looove to spend a long time working on my eyeshadow looks, it usually takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes, sometimes more, sometimes less, but usually around 40-45. 🙂
I can’t stick to a single day to day look, it just gets so BORING! I love doing new looks to help make the start of my day more interesting, otherwise I’d feel like I was wearing the same clothes day to day (ew!) but no disrespect to those who do! 🙂
Face: Matchmaster foundation in 1.0, Stereo Rose MSF
Eyes: MAC Nubile pp, Chanel Beige Lame, Chanel Rose Platine, MAC Blackline f/l
Lips: Viva Glam V, Chanel Aurora glossimer
Hmm, today I have no eye makeup on at all, but one of my favourite looks lately is from the Urban Naked palette. Sin on the lid and inner corner and Toasted in the crease and the outer corner as well as under the eye. Then black mascara on the upper lashes and a light pink pencil liner on the bottom waterline. Cheeks is typically the blush from the ELF studio duo and lips is either lipbalm or a Revlon Lip Butter.
My go-to look, unfortunately, takes longer than five minutes due to the blending needed.
Face: Laura Mercier Oil-Free Primer, Laura Mercier Oil-Free Foundation, Clinique Loose Powder
Cheeks: Laura Mercier Lotus Pink or Lancome Rose something or other (it’s actually a peachy color with a little shimmer)
Eyes: Chanel Rose de Mai with Laura Mercier Baroque, or something from the Clinique Spicy palette (but these are a bit too muddy for me), or something from my brand new custom Inglot palette that I LOVE
Lips: Laura Mercier Baby Lips, or one of many different Lancome lipsticks over Philosophy Kiss Me balm or cherry Chapstick
Love this question, and love reading what everyone does…very fun.
I make an effort to try a different look everyday, as time permits. Otherwise, I’d never get through the products I’ve amassed. BUT, if I’m in a hurry or feeling uninspired I opt for a black smokey eye and nude lip or a neutral eye and bright lip. I typically spend 30 minutes putting it all together.
I can never do full face makeup in 5 minutes! It always takes me at least 10-15… though probably if I hurried I could apply everything faster
My go-to look is MUFE F&B set with Coty Airspun powder, Tarte Exposed blush, a sheer wash of eyeshadow, Clinique black cream liner, mascara, fill in brows with a dried out black cream liner (at least I have some use for the quick-to-dry-out WnW version), and a lippie like Chanel Mademoiselle
face: combo revlon colorstay/revlon photoready foundations, benefit boing concealer if needed, benefit erase paste, benefit ooh la lift, set with Mac studio fix powder.
eyes: mac naked lunch on the lid, omega in the crease, and brule as a browbone highlight, maybelline master drama eyeliner in black, maybelline colossal volume layered with one by one mascara
lips: urban decay lipliner in indecent, nars lipstick in cruising, nars lipgloss in chihuahua.
cheeks: whatever is closest.
face: benefit boi-ing concealer, then l’oreal magic smooth souffle foundation, then MAC MSFN and my blush and highlighter (if I’m wearing any that day) changes every day
eyes: too faced shadow insurance, MAC painterly paint pot, UD sidecarall over the lid, UD naked in the crease, no highlight (not really sure why…) Milani liquif’eye eye pencil in black to tightline my upper lash line, then ELF coffe pencil on my lower lash line, and UD Smog applied wet on my upper lash line. Oh and l’oreal voluminous carbon black mascara of course 🙂
lips: lip balm 😛
Face: mineral foundation or MAC Matchmaster with Tarte’s Exposed on the cheek
Brows: MAC’s Lingering really strongly applied
Eyes: Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze with a pigment like Coastal Scents’ Balara in the crease, MAC’s Naked Deep Dark on the lid, Wedge or Soft Brown to blend and Hush or Vapour on the brow bone
Lips: line with MAC’s Absolutely It and fill in with Revlon’s Peach Parfait Lip Butter
Lips – Chanel Rose Dentelle
Cheeks – MAC Dainty / MAC Cream Colour Base Tickle Me Pink
I rarely repeat looks from day to day, but if I’m in a hurry, I fall back on either:
Face- Mac Prolongwear NC15, Guerlain Terra Inca Radiant Powder or Mac By Candlelight MSF
Eyes- Mac p/p Painterly either on its own or with Urban Decay Sin, Mascara
Lips- Guerlain Rouge Automatique Shalimar
OR
Face- Lush Colour Supplement Jackie Oates
Eyes- Nars Grand Palais e/s duo
Lips- Burberry lip mist Copper
The first actually looks quite polished, whereas the second is very natural, but with a hint of colour. These looks only take about 5 minutes, but normally I take about 15 and do something more detailed.
My current go-to look, or I guess more like my favourite quick look lately is:
Eyes: MAC Give me liberty of london – all over lids & in crease
MAC Rosemary & Thyme pencil smudged into upper and lower lashes
MAC Scene VERY lightly in crease and smudged onto outer 1/3 of upper lashes and corner of lower lashes
Revlon Enchanted quad – taupe or grey sometimes smudged into upper lash line
browbone left bare or use face powder and inner corner whatever you want.
It’s a soft, lived in look and it’s super quick!! Lately I’ve been using AVON mineral powder foundation in a shade darker buffed high onto cheeks or my favourite blush is MAC Lilicent. whatever nude lipstick – My favourite is NARS Cruisin or MAC Patisserie.
It’s usually the latest haul… Revlon Colorstay to start, Maybeline Instant Age Rewind Eye Brightener, which is really really good! It’s all called concealer now, but it’s brightener. Cheeks?Azalea Blossom, some days with a touch of Her Blooming Cheek from MAC Tartan Tale at the back of the cheekbone. Lips get MAC Embrace Me lip pencil, it’s new and blue based bright pink, then MAC Pink Poodle Lipglass OR Nars Schiap Pink lipstick. That pencil tones the lipstick down a bit and it walks better.
Eyes….. Metal X, first Venetian Tarnish all over, very bronze in the pot but oxidizes darker in a few seconds. Beautiful! Then Cyber on the inner third, or inner corner and bottom of lid, however it’s working that morning. Very sharp UD Zero pencil along the lashes, no real liner but I need the anchoring. Curl lashes and apply Opulash.
The eyes look scary first done; By the time I’m on the freeway halfway into town they’ve shifted and started doing the Metal X magic. I’m a pro oil painter but I couldn’t get my eyes so great! The Cyber moves, it mixes, by midday if it’s creased I tap with my ring finger- it disappears! Like anti ripples in water. All through the day it shifts and is beautiful! By cocktail hour sparkles have emerged. What fun!
I need more colors. But this takes about 15 minutes including the hunt for my purse for lipsticks in it.
