What is the difference between a good and great highlighter for you?
The texture on my skin – the kind that that melds with skin very smoothly just makes it a great highlighter for me.

1.) Does NOT emphasize my big ole pores or texture!
2.) It doesn’t have any chunky or obvious glitter.
3.) Melds with my skin and my other face products for a seamless appearance.
4.) Not too opaque so as to be blinding, nor so sheer that it has no discernable effect.
5.) Lasts until I remove my makeup!
I think a great highlighter is one that melts into your skin and leaves a very soft, but subtle sheen.
I like a variety of textures, so the most important thing for me is that it works well with my skin tone! I can do glittery chunkier ones if I’m having a night out, but silvery colors or cooler champagnes are a no-go for me. I’ve definitely been eyeing the new holiday PMG Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Highlighter!
Ditto what you mentioned! And no glitter for me or large pores. I used to gravitate towards the more shine, the better it is, but now I have a new found appreciation for subtle highlights. Working as a nurse, I am still behind a mask on duty, so it looks a little weird to have blinding highlight peeking out above the mask. My overall makeup since Covid is more subdued, and leaning towards neutral tones.
