Eyebrows and under eye concealer. My eyebrows have been super sparse since I had my son three years ago, and my under eye circles have never quit and are made even better by fine lines that all concealers crease into, lol.
I agree with you on foundation, though if I could only pick one, I think I’d say mascara. It’s just not a fun process and it takes me too long because I always get it on my eyelids, haha.
It’s more beauty related than makeup specific but I wish I didn’t have to wash my face. It’s such pain. I never skip washing my face but it would be nice not to have every morning and night. Just brush my teeth and go. I’m ok skipping any makeup step. Cannot skip washing my face though
Aha – this is “my” question and the answer is a simple one – CONCEALER. I have very pale skin and I’ve always had dark under-eye circles (apparently, it’s from low blood pressure which, as I age, is a good thing). As I’ve got older, my skin is getting paler and my blue under-eye circles are getting darker. Concealer is something I have to wear but even the best ones (a Clarins one that is now d/c’d, Dior’s new one and IT Bye Bye Undereye are 3 of the best for me) are not ideal and it takes fiddly time to get them looking good – looking more or less natural and more or less doing their job! I wish someone could invent a concealer that lasted all day, didn’t crease and made my under eye area look like that of a happy, healthy 3 year old child! Sadly, no such thing exists!
With mask wearing, I agree with you!
BROWWWWWS! I hate that I ruined mine during the 70’s, and then, like I learned nothing from that, I did the skinny brows again in the 90’s. That 2nd go round they never fully recovered from.
I also wish I had full, thick eyelashes, too. But you know, if wishes were like horses!
i destroyed my brows in the 90s and feel you big time on that one! my mom warned me but i didn’t listen…
Brows! I HATE doing my brows, but it’s a necessary evil. LOL 😉
Concealer as I have to hide my redness due to rosacea 🙁
Foundation. I’ve tried everything for my rosacea but nothing will take the redness out of my VERY pale skin, I just gotta cover it up with a medium coverage foundation and hope to God I get the shade match correct to my neck. …which is near-impossible because I am the palest olive person you will ever meet. Plus my skin is finnicky with formula and finishes. I wish the redness were gone so I could just put color products over my skincare without using a foundation. 😭
As a fellow super pale olive person, mixing a green primer or concealer into my foundation was a game changer! It’s a bit more of a hassle than just applying foundation as it is, but I don’t have to worry about my face being a completely different colour anymore. 🙂
Brows, for sure.
Undereyes with brows a close second. Concealer by itself is not enough. I need a color corrector and then concealer and then I have to set everything. I have one decently thick and shaped eyebrow and it’s a royal pain to get the other one to look something like the nicer one but my glasses hide things a little so brows are not as annoying as undereyes.
Waiting for sunscreen and base to set before being able to go to the fun stuff. Also, not having to do my brows. I don’t enjoy that part of the process.
I simply don’t feel the need to skip anything… maybe filling in my eyebrows, especially when they are not professionally groomed (I’m bad at it). I wish I could just use a brow gel, but even the pencil step I don’t mind as much.
Doing my eyebrows – they are super pale and getting the brow pencil to just right is a pain.
Nothing! I stopped doing the things that I hated doing, like wearing foundation/concealer.
Lol 😂 I hate foundation, too. My favorite, it Cosmetics CC+ compact has been discontinued. Fortunately, I have some of it left. I don’t like heavy foundation (liquid) much at all. I prefer not to have to have too many layers to get sunscreen in there. I have found a couple products that are serums or something good for the skin that have a matte finish that I sometimes include in my routine.
Foundation is a pain in the neck, it has to play nice with your moisturizer and sunscreen and if not your whole face looks patchy and horrible the whole day.
I hate having to do my brows. Between menopause and a low thyroid, they thinned out on the outside. I thought I was losing my mind, developed tinnitus (I thought I could hear the electric grid, lol), couldn’t sleep so I went to see a therapist. In 10 minutes of hearing me out, she said, “Honey, you need to get your thyroid checked…your outer brows are thinner.”
I don’t mind my foundation as I only spot apply over moisturizer and use my fingers.
Washing it off, lol! I want it to magically come off at the end of the day 😀
Ditto lol!!
