Anything that isn’t matte or a balm. I have thin lips so I never wear matte lipstick because it just makes them look smaller lol. I prefer something luminous or even with a bit of sparkle for evening. I don’t like balms because they don’t last on my lips and most of them hardly have any color. I’ll just stick to my Chapstick underneath my pretty lipstick. 🙂
Longer wearing and NOT MATTE!!! Years ago, for about 5 minutes, Clarins had the perfect lipstick formula – Rouge Prodige – but, of course, it was discontinued. Ditto MAC’s Amplified Cream (the finish might still be around but the best colours have slowly suffered the death knell!).
If it has alternative colors in a good formula. Getting rare these days, even with alt indie brands.
Multiple finishes, a wide range of shades including some deep, vampy tones, and also when there’s various levels of pigmentation (UD’s FIRST Vice line with something like 120+ lipsticks got me very excited!).
That UD release was kind of epic. So many amazing lipsticks!
Epic is right! Never imagined that the Urban Decay of then would turn into the sad situation it is now. Wish like anything that it will be resuscitated back to its former glory!
What gets me excited about a new lipstick formula release is when I see the shades that I would wear, in a creamy kind of formula that is non-matte and it rates well. I would want them to be quite affordable and accessible too.
My all time favorite lipstick was MAC Slimshine lipsticks. Anything like that line is ideal for me – shiny, thin and smooth.
Not Matte. A Creamy or Luminous finish would work for me.
Some metallic and satin formulas instead of so many mattes! Interesting colors and not the same old range. For me that big Vice lipstick launch a few years ago was the dream. Too bad those are mostly d/c now!
