What cheek colors have you used the most in 2018?
It’s probably Marc Jacobs Flesh & Fantasy Airblush! If it’s not that, then my next best guess would be Chanel Jersey.

Clinique Nude Pop, NARS Orgasm and Lancome Miel Glace
Warm Soul by Mac
No doubt about it – Dior’s Rosy Glow Awakening Blush, with MAC’s Sweet Sentiment (LE) coming in a close 2nd.
Physicians Formula Butter Blush in Plum Rose, Tarte Exposed, MAC Blush in Pink Cult and Fruity Juicy Pearlmatte Face Powder in Oh My Passion! (I wear it as blush), Milani Rose Powder Blush in Coral Cove, NARS Fetishized and Blissful, theBalm Balm Desert, UD Afterglow in Bittersweet, and LORAC Ultraviolet.
Tarte blushes in general, especially coral shades.
NARS Hot Tryst Palette saw a lot of use despite coming out later in the year, and Tarte Blush Bazaar was my travel palette for cheeks.
Mac Sincere Sheertone Blush, Nars Madly, Clinique Nude Pop.
Iβve been gravitating towards creams/liquids in 2018, so Nars Luster liquid blush and Flower Beauty Cinnamon have been go-tos!
NARS Taos
Physicians Formula Plum Rose
Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon
Benefit Benetint (great for travel)
NARS Orgasm. I hit pan a couple months ago and decided to buy the large size this time. Thereβs still some left in the smaller pan, so I relegated it to my travel bag.
BeneFit BeneTint (I was determined to use this up), Tarte Paarty, and ColourPop SuperShock in Holiday.
Essence Satin Love, UD Rapture, MAC Oh My, Passion, Nars Goulue and Fetishised are likely the main ones I go to time after time. And now that I have that Nars Hot Tryst palette and Blissful blush, those have seen plenty of usage this past month, too. All of these are satin finishes, I believe. Which tend to work best on my aging skin that has begun to show a few smile crinkles atop my cheekbones lately.
I’m not one to use blush very often, but I typically reach for bronzer & highlighter on a regular basis. L’OREAL Glam Bronze in “Light” is the one I reach for almost daily, but I tend to use a different highlighter each time, because I have so many. I buy new ones pretty much every month, and rotate the newest ones in, until I buy more… Having said that, I did keep my CoverGirl TruBlend Stunner Palette in “It’s Lit” in my “everyday” basket ever since I bought it about 6 months ago, and I do tend to grab it at least once a week, when I don’t want to dig something out of my highlighter drawers…
Milani Romantic Rose when I wear blush, usually just Butter Bronzer is enough for me for everyday.
Physician’s Formula Vintage Rouge
MAC Gingerly
Natasha Denona Sheer Nude Blush Duo
The cheek shade I always use is peach, all other colours just don’t work on my complexion.
My favourite this year has been the Clarins Prodige cheek blush in Sweet Peach and it has lasted all year.
An embarassingly old Korres cream blush (in a pot – but if nothing is growing in it, things are fine), or one of three Bite Beauty multisticks. Totally on a cream kick during winter.
LOL, growing inside of it! Makes me think of two lipsticks I just threw away because my daughter laughed when I tested them and we could barely get them to swatch, so sticky.
Oh, I never used them in year, but just could never let them go. π
Laura Mercier Pink Glow but with a brown contour slightly blended in
Laura Mercier Blaze
Chanel Fleur de Lotus
Chanel rouge profond
TheBalm Girls Getaway Trio (Balm Beach, Balm Springs, and Balm Desert). It may look simple, but the shades are perfect nudes for me! Not to mention TheBalmβs great formula. For highlight, probably Fenty Metal Moon.
Somehow, I’m sure I said this elsewhere, but wanting to chime in for this article:
Surratt Beauty Artistique Blush in Duchesse, Cantaloup & Ponceau
MAC Sheertone Blush in Pinch Me
Think I’ll be continuing they peachy, gold, orange blushes for 2019, just feeling like I need the sun in my life!
Christine, I just got the Dior Hologlam, inspired by you and itβs insane! I love it. Such a beautiful and fun color combo.
Thank you!
Rachael
Charlotte Tilbury First Love.
You make me reconsider that purchase, however. It was either that or Marc Jacobs Flesh & Fantasy. *sigh* The grass is always greener… π
Surprisingly enough, Tarte Amazonian Clay Unstoppable blush! I didn’t expect it to work as well on me as it does, since it’s a peach/coral shade, but it seems to have enough of a red/pink undertone in it that I can pull it off.
