Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I’m so angry at Dior’s Great Reformulation because they’re ruining many of my staples and they’re still not finished. In quick succession, multiple versions of blush and eyeshadow palettes have been “reinvented” and worst of all, so has my beloved Forever Skin Correct concealer. Their highlighters are now no longer available on the Dior site and shades are disappearing from retailers so I know that’s either already reformulated or in process and I’m just waiting for them to destroy my HG Diorshow mascara soon. All of this just to be claim they’re “clean”

Too Faced for sure, and sadly, I have to include UD.

I haven’t purchased much from Estée Lauder in decades, but having seen the recent dreadful but pricey e/s palettes you reviewed, I feel they need inclusion in this list.

Colourpop and unfortunately, NARS. NARS used to be my tried-and-true for eyeshadow, blush and lipstick but they have changed their formulations and the newer stuff just doesn’t hold a candle to their old formulas.

MAC and Urban Decay have always been inconsistent in their quality, but when they do something well it tends to stay good until they discontinue it.

Although MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid has been my HG for full coverage and longevity and NW10 is my perfect shade match, only their core line of products has remained consistent, if boring and a little dated. Their new releases and limited editions just fall flat.
That said, I admit to stupidly buying the 2020 and 2021 Lunar New Year highlighters, just bc of the imprints; 2020 has 2 fish (I’m a Pisces) and 2021, a dragon (I have one tattooed across my back). Given that they’re both Double Gleam, a shade too dark and warm for me, all they do is look pretty in a drawer I rarely open – yes, a fool and her money are easily parted!

UD and MAC when it comes to their LE’s they can be stellar and they can be really awful. The permanent range from MAC I do like a lot though.
Ud still have lovely lipsticks, but they have such a limited range now, the eyeshadows are quite bad these days. I have used Naked this week and it’s so good, considering it’s also old now it’s actually a great, though Dced product.

I’d add lots of drugstore brands! They can be either amazing producers or sometimes a bit of a dud, Like essense, nyx, elf, L’Oréal, maybellne. . .
