What beauty product would you invent if you could?

What beauty product would you invent if you could? What miracle product? (Besides the fountain of youth!)

.

An ultra pigmented lipgloss that truly lasted at least 12 hours or an acne solution that worked for everyone, but the latter sounds more impossible.

Haha damn, you stole my miracle acne solution XD

Umm I’d probably invent some kind of cream that would stop wrinkles forming, and get rid of existing wrinkles.

Or a lipstick formula that NEVER bleeds and lasts for 8 – 12 hours. That might kill the lipliner market though ;]

I’d also invent some sort of foundation that automatically adjusts to your skintone – but one that REALLY works.

And a concealer that covers texture, but isn’t a heavy as hell scar concealer.

Oooh and an eyeshadow primer that will even keep your eyeshadow perfect and non-creasing even if you go sit in a sauna or something.

Good idea….These stupid Cosmetic Companies keep coming out with mascaras that have one particular feature…and then later has another mascara with another one specific feature…how about a mascara that has ALL of them? lol

Bridgette Avatar

I would invent a cream the would get rid of dark circles in an hour. And a daily mask that removes 100% of your acne in one week! And a foundation that stays on for 24 hours (which might never happen).

Frieda Avatar

A mascara that lengthens, volumises and curls without clumping 😛

Otherwise I’d agree with you in having an effective topical acne product that had no other side-effects etc.

Miss_M Avatar

A moisturizer or anti-wrinkle cream that really does make wrinkles and pigmentation disappear!

A soap that removes or disolves hairs. Just rub it over your legs and armpits and the hairs are gone, no more shaving!

Az Avatar

Hmm it’d be great to have:
– skincare that actually works
– foundation & concealer with great coverage but looks natural

Seems like I’m quite satisfied with other products.

Dusty Avatar

A lipstick that, when applied, made money appear in my wallet.

This, of course, would be sold in a combo pack. It would also feature a lipgloss that made Vin Diesel appear at my door.

With more money.

Or candy…

Both? 😉

Dusty Avatar

Haha! Wow! OUCH some of you are making me really feel my 30s! LOL. Probably not a good sign when I read these names and think, Who? Then have to Google them. Haha!

Tis the season apparently… The other day a friend of mine called me and said I had to see Avatar because its the Star Wars of our generation! I said, Um, I was alive when Star Wars came out.

Tee hee 😉

Dusty Avatar

Haha! Paloma – I actually KNEW the guys off your list 🙂 Kevin Spacey circa “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” would definitely be part of a nice line-up 😉

And Jeffrey Dean Morgan?! My gawd yes! (I miss him on Supernatural) But I dig a hairy beast of a man. Give me Tom Selleck at any age and I’m a happy camper! 🙂 LOL!

Dusty Avatar

Paloma – I was never a fan of David D. UNTIL I saw this last season of Californiacation – There’s something about him that was driving me a little nutty 🙂

I DO have a blog that I NEVER update… Because I just don’t I guess. But I have a few links to various pages of mine on my website: http://www.dustinhunter.com (eventually to be updated). I just recently removed all of my music from my MySpace page (cause I’m work work working on a few new pieces) but I JUST started a YouTube page a couple weeks ago to upload some makeup videos on! I’m most excited about that! I’m planning on editing down and throwing a few more up there this weekend actually! 🙂

Feel free to drop me a line and say hi anytime! Take care!

Dusty Avatar

Ah hah! Alas, my Facebook page is busted 🙁 I just posted my “ode to Facebook” as my profile photo for there, but that’s about all I can do.

My YouTube page is linked from my website (dustinhunter.com) If you check it out, be sure to come back again in a day or so – I’m going to be adding more and I’m actually also going to be talking about the Halloween look that I had on here too! (It was also submitted to a competition on-line, as well as funtioning as my Halloween look this year). Hehe!

1. a moisturizer for very dry skin for day and night
2. a potion to eliminate stretch marks and other effects on the belly after pregnancy.

jellynat Avatar

Yes, a stretch marks killer would be great. Even greater if it could re-fit the loose skin.

Almost all my body is covered with stretch marks (arms, tummy, breasts, shoulders, tigh, bum, legs, arms, even half my forearms), that’s a side-effect of my obese past. If a cream could erase all this… 🙁

Paloma Avatar

I totally know how you feel…I’ve been trying to lose all this weight I’ve gained since I had my daughter….it sucks so much that even when you do lose the weight (which I have yet to do 🙁 ) the stretch marks stay 🙁

Ana Avatar

A foundation that would both match my skintone, but most importantly, that would NOT glide of my VERY oily/dry combination skin. I mean, nothing works! In my country there isn’t the same range of products to choose from as in the US and others, so it´s very dificult to find a good product.

I absolutly love the new light version of the Estee Lauder Double Wear, but the lightest shade they sell here is too dark for my skin, so I can only wear it in the summer… How I miss it…

Desiree Avatar

A cream that permanently removed stretch marks.

A foundation that takes 60 seconds to apply and makes you look like a model in a magazine–airbrushed and flawless! It also lasts and lasts without clogging pores, causing breakouts, or–eeeek!–TRANSFERING!

A plastic hair bonnet that could read your mind when you put it on and–voila!–you have the hair(style) you’ve always dreamed of.

The blackest black mascara that makes it look as though you had eyelashes like Tiffany D!

Oh and a clear lipstick that transforms into the perfect MLBB shade (so hard to find those ones when you have dark skin :/ Anyone with a suggestion, I’ll be more than happy to listen!), full coverage yet glossy!

A lot of things but hey–I’m a big dreamer! 😉

lazeny Avatar

A cream that can remove cellulite and acne scars, and will magically revive a skin’s elasticity – so no wrinkles.

A product that makes your eyelashes grow thicker and longer, like Lattise, w/o the side effects.

DonnaN Avatar

a concealer that instantly matched to your skin tone and eliminated any dark circles and discoloration, but did NOT look like spackle? I’ll fund the research if you have any ideas…..

Rengirl Avatar

Has anyone watched “The Fifth Element?” Somewhere in the beginning, the heroine put this small machine to her eyes and it applied her eye makeup instantly in a snap. Also in another sci-fi film (I think it was “Total Recall”) there was a receptionist with a small pen – she touched it onto her nails, instantly changing her nail color. This is what I think of when I think of the future of makeup.

Jen Avatar

something to take away all of my acne scars! I don’t care what products claim because some scars just can’t be taken away. I have scars from when I was younger becuase I would pick at my face, and nothing has or will take them away except some foundation and concealer! 🙁

Cherie Avatar

Lots of people have already named so many great products I too would love to invent!

I love, love, love the idea of putting my head into something and it would instantly do my hair within minutes 🙂

I would also love a device that you could just touch your nail with and it would instantly paint your nail with whatever colour you like. And it would dry instantly too! Does anybody remember that scene in Total Recall where the secretary has this product??? Gawwwwwwd, I’m dating myself!!! lol

AnGeLwInGz Avatar

A permanent hair straightening treatment that didnt require hot tools for upkeep. I got so ripped off with that CHI straightening! Also, a cream to get rid of stretch marks cellulite.

Miranda Avatar

Some kind of cream treatment that will PHYSICALLY alter the amount of oil produced in your skin. Not this absorbing or mattiffying stuff, I mean like permanently shrinking the oil glands or something. Id pay hundreds (maybe even thousands, Im not kidding) of dollars for it.

Budget Beauty Bombshell Avatar

Just to let you know, I LOVE this question. Why? cuz it runs thru my head about everyday.

I would invent SO many things. But right now, in the process of attempting to organize my nail polish collection (& failing miserably), I’d invent an automatic nail polish mini machine. Have you ever seen the Fifth Element where the bad guy’s secretary is sticking her fingers, one by one, into a little thimble looking device & when she pulls it out wa-lah! her polish has changed in the blink of an eye. No hassle, no bottles.

Just download your new collections into that thimble. Pick the color, stick your finger or toe inside, & in 1 second flat it comes out perfectly mainicured w/ the new polish color professionally applied!

I’d be RICH i tell you! I’d also change my polish like every hour.

Haylie Avatar

An eye cream that would completely get rid of any discoloration and little bumps.

An acne serum that rids of all acne and makes your skin baby soft.

A really great acne eliminator of scarring, especially on the back…

Andrea Avatar

So many!!! A lipstick that stays glossy for the entire day, a lotion that would actually take care of stretch marks/cellulite, and an acne zapper that works!!!

Paloma Avatar

Mine are fairly boring:

A skin cream that does NOT stink and is very very cheap that comes in a huge Sam’s Club-like tub that permanently eliminates Psoriasis from your skin, and a gigantic bottle of a solution/shampoo that permanently removes the Psoriasis from your scalp.

I would also love it if they sold (in drugstores for cheap) big boxes of foundation masks…where all you have to do is pull out a packet, take the plastic off, press it down on your face, and then carefully blend it in.

I also think that an avatar-like program in the future would be amazingly awesome. Where you can just go to a touch screen computer and pick out what makeup for the day you’d like, what outfit, what hairstyle, etc. etc. and the machine would do it for you! The machine you’d do it in would look similar to a tall spray tanning booth.

Ooooh, another one! You know how back in the day they would make pens that had like 8 different colors? I think they should make pens like that for eyeliner, lipliner, mascara, nail polish, lipgloss/stick, etc.!

Ngoc P Avatar

yeah I wish there is an acne product that instantly clear out acne as you apply. That would be hecka cool. And you know what, I don’t know if this procedure exist in America. But in Vietnam, you can actually get a procedure or more of like what they called “Tatoo Lips”. You can choose a color to tatoo on lips and you will not have to wear lipsticks or reapply lipstick ever again. Ha. I have not seen anyone who done that, but I heard that it look unatual.

Mora Avatar

i’d like the idea of an lipstick which makes appear money or loose weight.

i really would like to find a longlasting lipstick, which doesn’t dry my lips and does not leave color on my teeth. i hate that.

rowan Avatar

a mini laser to remove spots and blemishes with.
eye drops that could make your eyes perfectly clear.
lip gloss with no texture (impossible sounding, oh well!)

Catherine Avatar

Hahaha, I am totally with you on the acne treatment. That would just be so, so lovely.

I’m also with alot of the other girls in wanting a mascara that truly does it all. I think I’ve found a pretty fantastic one in Kiss Me Heroine (but you have to use it with the green L’Oreal remover and hold for 20 seconds), but it’s just missing the volume!

In addition, I want a lip balm that magically heals, removes chapped skin and plumps out liplines and wrinkles without any irritation or side effects! I’ve tried just about everything, and again, I have a few that come close to a few aspects, but nothing that is truly a miracle product! I guess that’s why it’d be a miracle product though, huh? ;_;

Michelle Avatar

I would love a product that actually could shrink pores, not just cover them up or diminish the look — but really shrink them down!

Amy Avatar

I’m with several of you on this. I would definitely invent something that would get permanently get rid of unwanted hair, like on legs and underarms. And it would be painless, easy, and an all-around pleasant experience. Oh yeah. That would be awesome. No more shaving? Yes please! And add me to the waiting list for that lipgloss that makes Vin Diesel appear at my door. What do I have to do to get bumped to the top of that list??? 😀

johnfiend Avatar

I don’t know if anyone else has said this (havn’t read all the posts)

But a foundation that fills in pores perfectly… including pot marked skin. I have minor pot marked cheeks and combination skin, so a matte foundation doesnt look good, but something oily makes me look TOO shiney!

Good skin is the base to your whole make up looking good!
