The color’s amazing but it chips within a day….
Waterproof mascara- I love how long it wears but seems to take forever to remove at night.
Mac foundations- I love the effect they give but I always break out from the ingredients.
I second mascara…ANY mascara…I’m SOOOO tired of messing with them…then when an HG is found, they change the formula or discontinue it. I’d do without, but it is the ONE thing you almost have to wear. Grrrrr…
MAC Feline kohl power eye pencil!! Love the pigmentation, hate the smudge factor.
I totally agree with this. I love how dark it is but it inevitably teaclea on me!
MAC Paint Pots. I love’em but hate fighting with the dry consistency of Painterly. Then there’s others that look so pretty in the pot but once applied the frost makes my eyelids look like that of a scaley reptile.

Any type of lipgloss. I love the effect it gives to my lips and the colors I have but I hate how my hair always sticks to it amd ends up sometimes getting it on my cheek (such as a red color)
LOL agree! lipgloss is gorgeous, but not on a windy day!
Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara. It makes my lashes look great BUT after 2-3 hours only it smudges and leaves me dark cycles under my eyes!;-(
Most currently, Maybelline Falsies Mascara. I accidentally picked up the waterproof tube (I typically hate waterproof mascaras) and although I absolutely adore the effect, I really hate the effort I have to put into removing it. And it flakes on me. It’s one of the blackest mascara’s i’ve used and continue to use, ha!
I hate face primer–it breaks me out.
I also hate the MAC site; I cannot see the tiny pictures or the skinny white text on black and I hate the moving flash pics. I used to order from them but I have not ordered since they changed the site. It is ugly, unusable and almost painful to look at.
YES! I cannot stand the new MAC site, drives me insane how awkward to use it is. Even if I wasn’t planning on buying anything I would browse it for colours and products, now I rarely visit.

Amen! I find it nearly impossible to find anything I need on the MAC site! It is one of the most difficult sites to navigate, in my opinion.
The new Nordstrom site is incredibly user UN-friendly, too. You just can’t browse either of them easily.
Pigments – Love the colours but hate the mess!

Foundation and Mascara.
I hate they way they feel but I cant live without the results.
I loved the way Lancome Hypnose Drama made my lashes loo,but no matter how I apply it, it always ends up on my contact lenses after an hour..booo
MAC’s Impassioned lipstick. I’m more of a red lipstick kind of girl, so I was really happy to find a variety of pink I love. However, sometimes it just doesn’t work as well as I’d like. It all depends on the tone of my lips and complexion that day.
Sugarpill loose eyeshadows for me. They look gorgeous in the jar, but not on me. If I use them dry, they lose all the beautiful glitter and look matte really. If I use them wet, they looks chunky and crease-y (I think my lids are wrinkly or something, I just can’t make them work!)
Try using a base like Two Faced Shadow insurance.
Or NYX jumbo pencils 😀
That might help with fallout and maybe they wont crease.
My lids get wrinkly too so smoothing out the jumbo pencil well is a must.
Loose eye shadow (across brands) – love the billions of colors and the texture, hate the fading color throughout the day (mostly with mineral brands)
Try Fyrinnae. Beautiful selection, cheap and has never faded on me.
Second Fyrinnae and Sassy Minerals.
I feel that way about benefit’s stay don’t stray. Its a great primer but it is so dry

My bare minerals foundation. I like it for an easy foundation to apply but a couple of hours after I apply it I start feeling itchy. It varies in severity, usually I can live with it but sometimes I have no choice but to go wash it off.
That happens to me too!! I don’t know what it is about Bare Minerals. It also makes me look greasy and oily after a few hours. I get itchy from both original and matte formulas.
Its Mica ingridient.
The “matte” version of it might not have it..

Amazing Cosmetics: Amazing Concealer, great coverage but it’s so hard to blend and expensive. >_<
I agree, and it doesn’t last long on me either. Like 2 hours tops!
I Love
My eye and lip pencils (any brand, of course chanel, nars and mac first) are what I love. I can’t live without them (+ lipsticks I can’t buy what I can’t wear this is why I spend my time swatching), and my lovely brushes (mac, chanel and nars, as usually)….
I hate MUFE HD and Mat Velvet +… why? I my have an allergy of some ingredients but after applying these both foundations, my face becomes itchy, very itchy and red and then………… breakouts. No matter what I do…. The Mat velvet + I use it only in summer but I won’t buy it anymore. As for the HD I use it sometimes, but idem, I won’t buy it anymore…. sadly, sadly, I will add….

MAC Stereo Rose, actually. Half the time it looks awesome on me. The other half of the time it looks bright orange. I do not even know how this happens.
the OCC liptars…so pigmented and moisturizing…but can i say a little TOOO pigmented? even 1/16th of a drop is a lot lol and it gets messy too
I second that. While I understand that with the OCC lip tars, a little goes a long way, they begin to bleed so easily!
my clinique high impact mascara: it’s formula is a little too runny (making it smudge onto the top and bottom of my eyes when i blink) but the watery formula and it’s wand also doesn’t clump AT ALL! in general, i lean more toward the loving side although i must be careful when i blink, and have to wait for it to dry first! 🙂
promos/sales/gwp. I love the deals but I hate how I overspend and end up with so much stuff I end up with.
(it’s impossible to resist a palette of 12 colors for 13 bucks when you’ve been wanting one shade badly–and it costs 17 solo…)
My MUFE HD foundation. I love it when I get it applied just right, otherwise it’s a flakey/cakey festival all over my face. Tragic.
Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse foundation. I love the airbrushed look but it does cause me breakouts! Grrrr
I love Diorshow, it doesn’t smudge on me at all. And Diorshow Extase is absolutely wonderful!
I have a love and hate relationship with nail polish in general, love the look of freshly painted nails, but hate it that every nail polish chips on me within 1-2 days and hate taking it off and applying again, so I often don’t bother.
You’r so Right about Nail Polish, even I put a base!
MAC MSF naturals…nice finish but i cant use it on my forehead.
and plush glasses! for a sec i thought they were my HG and even bought backups but the second tube dried my lips craaazy and it gave me lil blisters that I had to go see a Dr.
Plushglass did the same for me! I got mine as a B2MAC and had to give it away because of the bumps.
Smashbox JetSet Gel Liner- stays the longest on my waterline but dries out in the pot quickly, and sometimes it smudges at the corners ugh
Urban Decay Primer Potion! I love the product, but the packaging is absolutely atrocious. I own only the Sin shade, so I haven’t purchased the original potion in the new tube form. I became so frustrated with the packaging that I used a hand saw to cut and break the plastic container in half, and then I scooped all of the product into little jars. I’ve never been so annoyed in my life with a makeup product. Haha.

Mac MSF Natural – it’s such a great powder and I love the application. But it’s cool undertoned and when it oxidizes, in some lights it makes my face too pink compared to my neck and body..but it’s such a nice powder that I can’t stop!!
Love DiorShow for the nice false lash effect but I hate the flaking and smudging.

MAC in general. They have some really great products (pigments, some eyeshadows, Studio Fix, the Creamsheens), but I was really upset by the insensitivity behind the proposed Rodarte collection and the disrespect it showed to the families of victims of femicide in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. I have since practically stopped buying and moved toward Illamasqua.
So Many!!!!! Someone mentioned nail polish – for me it’s finger nails that I think I’m going to love it and once it’s on, I can’t stand it. And I always smudge or chip it within hours. Toes are fine.
My other love/hate that’s been going on for years is MAC lipglosses. Mostly the lipglass but generally all. I find them way too sticky and they dry my lips out so bad. I love the colours and selection but I can’t do it.
I flove plum and purple eyeshadows, but have a really hard time finding shades that work with my coloring. It is so frustrating when a shadow is really amazing in the pan, but turns muddy or bruised looking once applied.
Ohhh I agree! I thought I looked great with a plum smokey eye I did till I saw the pictures. :s I looked like I had bruised-or horribly dark lids.
I recommend staying away from plums or just using in the outer V crease or go for violets or lavender colors on ur lid with a white base to tone down darkness and bring out the true color.
Covergirl’s lashblast – it’s my HG mascara, but I HATE that they test on animals!!!

I love the effect of it but it takes a lot of practice to get it right!
I can’t wear it when I’m in a hurry so usually end up using a pencil.
For me, its curling my eyelashes! I often refer to it as the bane of my existence. I can’t not curl them, because they are so long and straight, but it seems to take forever to get a nice curl that doesn’t look dented!
Eyeliner and blue eyeshadow. Whenever I put eyeliner on, my eyes start to water so it gets smeared all over my face and looks awful. And with blue eyeshadow, it always looks amazing in the pan so I buy it, and then I just end up looking like a hooker! And I don’t even get light shades of blue, the dark navy shades even look awful on me.
@ashley I know how you feel! I love the colors but hard to make flattering, I have the best luck as contour or liner, lid is really hard. or a more silver or teal blue shade
NYX jumbo pencils. I loved the colors. They are very well pigmented. But they keep creasing on my eyelids. Even after using the Urban Decay potion as a base, it creases anyway and makes me look like a clown!
Id say the new mac pro longwear foundation. The staying power is amazing but the flakes around my nose are not!
Don’t know if this is considered a beauty product – but Retin-A. Love the anti-aging effects, hate the skin sensitivity and peeling I get from it.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils! The color range, price and creaminess are amazing… but the CREASING IS NOT. Even when I use an eyeshadow primer/base they still crease horribly. What a shame since they are great at amplifying the color in my MAC eyeshadows.
This is going to sound weird coming from a make-up lover, but I’d have to say lipstick. I love it but hate that they don’t stay on and can smudge or how nudes settle in creases. I’m really picky and feel like 80% of shades don’t suit me.
