Wet 'n' Wild Rose Champagne Glow To Reflect Shimmer Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Wet ‘n’ Wild Rose Champagne Glow To Reflect Shimmer Palette
Maybe You Won’t Go to Carnaval, But How About a Glow of Rose?
Wet ‘n’ Wild Rose Champagne Glow To Reflect Shimmer Palette ($4.99 for 0.40 oz.) is a melange of light peach, peachy-orange, and medium pink. Blended together, they create a light, rosy-beige with a frosted, metallic finish. MAC Porcelain Pink is lighter. MAC Rhapsody in Two is similar. Bobbi Brown Rose Gold is a touch more beige. MAC Redhead is less pink. Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous is a smidgen darker.
I suspect of the three shades of To Reflect that I’ve seen from Wet ‘n’ Wild (I’ll post a review for the third one soon), this is likely the one that will have the most universal appeal. Â On darker complexions, it will serve as a highlighter, and on the very lightest skin tones, it can work as a blush as well as a highlighter. Â I’m medium in color, and it shows up as a highlighter and slight tint of color–there’s definite color, not just shimmer/sheen–on my skin. Â The finish has a high-shine, frosted look to it, which did result in emphasis of my pores along my cheeks, so if that’s a major concern for you, then you might want to opt for a subtler highlighter. Â This can be used wet for an even more metallic finish, if desired.
It’s a baked product, though it feels almost like a hybrid between traditional powder and baked, because it is smoother than a lot of baked products but still different from regular powder products. Â Rose Champagne Glow lasted for six and a half hours on me, and after seven hours, it looked a bit faded and somewhat patchy. It’s on par with the majority of baked products and how long they wear on me, so if you normally get longer wear out of your baked products, this might wear similarly.

Gorgeous, I love it! Christine, I have been visiting your website more lately since you have been reviewing more budget beauty brands. I love ogling over luxury brands, but I also enjoy seeing products I can actually afford to purchase. Thanks!
Very pretty.
Oh my gosh, just so pretty! Baked products usually break my skin out, but they always look so enticing to me. This is more shimmery than I’d wear everyday, but I’d still wear it, so it’d deinitely still purchase it given the price
According to Wet n Wild, these are actually pressed, not baked!
Hey Faith,
In the photos, there is one of the back label – it actually says these are baked! It specifically calls it out twice – that these are baked trios and because they’re baked, they can be used wet or dry.
Yep, I need this one too!
This is so pretty, and I’m starting to regret not picking it up. It’s just so shimmery, and I didn’t think it would be suitable (at least for me) as an everyday product. I still kind of want it now, LOL.
It’s so inexpensive you can justify it as a “once in a while” product! 🙂
Like everyone’s saying, it is pretty! Every time I see a positive review for this brand I’m like “Go Wet ‘n’ Wild!” I’m glad you are reviewing these.
How can this be compared to By Candlelight MSF?:)
By Candlelight is lighter!
Lovely! Unfortunately, I pull long shifts, so I need my products to wear a full 8-10 hours without obvious fading. Besides, it’s not like I need yet another highlighter. 😛
I HAVE to have this!!!! I have a similar skin color as you and you look gorgeous with it on!!!
It may not be “exactly” a true love colour for me but it’s close enough and at 5 bucks, I’m willing to spring for it!
You look so lovely! At the risk of sounding like a creeper, I can honestly say that’s one of my favorite makeup looks for you.
Aw, thanks a lot, Glenda!
Pretty! Much more wearable than the one from yesterday, I think
I like it but I already have Mac Redhead which is less pink (which is good for my olive complexion). I won’t be picking this up. It is a lovely product at a fantastic price though.
For $5 I am so getting this!
This one I really like and I think would work with my skin. Looks like it gives a nice glow
Just out of curiosity, why do baked products tend to fade and not show up well? Does the heat damage the pigment? I’ve tried a few baked eye shadows (from three different brands) and been disappointed that they will not show up at all, unless you gouge shadow out.
No idea! I think it might be that they don’t bind together as well.
You just glow in everything you wear! gorgeous!
Thanks, LRW! 🙂
Love this! Wet N’ Wild seriously impresses me!
I bought this and wore it tonight, I like it a lot! Well worth the 5 bucks!!!
Hi Christine! How this product compares to MAC Soft and Gentle? The swatch looks similar to me.. Thank you for the review! xo
Soft & Gentle is much more beige!
Any idea if this is available in Canada?
Not sure – I have no information from Wet ‘n’ Wild on this product! The only if is what I saw on the displayer/on the back of the product, lol!
Beautiful ,and it looks good on skin as well. I have a similar product like this from a company called ludanmei . I think its a chinese brand, cost me 200 pakistani rupees(almost 2$)and its good .
Hey Christine, what brush did u use to apply this? I have it and it comes up lighter wash of color and im pale. Thanks.
MAC 116
So I bought this and like it, but mine looks like the two oranger ones with less brown, not all pink and pretty. Weird. I’m very fair and cool, this looks like a winner in a couple months from now. Might be perfect bronze for me.
