Grande Pro Vol. 1 Eyeshadow Palette, $150.00
This palette features 30 shades, 24 new and 6 iconic shades, for defining and sculpting eyes, brows, and cheekbones. These universally flattering shades are magnetized, allowing for easy customization for the artist who requires flexibility. Pans are housed within Viseart’s iconic, convertible packaging with folding easel and are laid out to support global skin.
Makes sense to repromote the all-matte original with the all-shimmer sequel.
I don’t know. Might be nice to have one central palette for these basics and I’d use most of these shades, though I might have dupes for most. Also, a hefty price tag, though for a lot of product. Decisions decisions.
If you need a TMO, this palette is not the same as their regular 12-pan matte palettes to me. This is made in the US, while their 12-pan palettes are made in France. It’s good, but not something I can’t live without. The last row is very dry and perhaps since I’m not a makeup artist, I don’t know how to use the grey tone shadows and can’t imagine those tones would flatter anyone. Also, Viseart dark blues are quite patchy, this is something in common with the Dark Matte palette. This palette made me realize that large palettes are not for me – there is always at least a dud for something this big. Good thing is the packaging is better. and you can depot the shadows easily. Their original 12-pan packaging is the flimsiest among all palettes I own, and they aren’t cheap.
Thanks, Jane, for the reality check. I could feel myself blacking out and you *know* I’d come to and realize I pulled the trigger during the VIB sale!
Thanks so much for the detailed description I was just thinking to give to my daughter for Christmas. Yes quite pricey and honestly I think too large also doubt she would like the size. Thanks! Thinking of the mother ship Pat MacGraph more likely..
Glad they decided to do this reissue! Even though I have no intention of getting it or the glitter fest palette, either. But, I can definitely see the two working well together for a professional MUA.
Just waaay too expensive and too crammed with colours I cannot and don’t wear (though I guess if they can be worn on the cheeks, that might redeem some of those red and hot pink shades). I think for a makeup artist or someone who has to be on the cutting edge this is a good item to have but it’s not for me at all.
This is $25 cheaper? or am I crazy.
It’s $150 on Sephora. Wasn’t it $175 like the shimmery one? Or has this always been the price? I really want the new shimmery/glitter palette but I’m holding out for the review before I spend so much money. This is nice but I have Viseart Neutral, Warm and Deep Matte palettes already so I don’t need this one.
It looks like they changed it – it’s $150 on Muse as well.
I’m sure they swatch different on the skin, but there are so many similar-looking colors in this that it feels like you could safely remove an entire row worth of product without changing anything. Even professionals don’t need that many close colors, right?
Yes! In that way, it reminds me of the UD Naked 3 palette, the rose gold one. I saw 4 or 5 tutorials that used, you know, half of the palette to create an eye look. And in the end all you could see in person was “rose gold on the lid, bronze on the crease and lashline.” If you’re painting a real painting, something people will stare at for hours that doesn’t move and melt down over the course of a day, these differentials might make sense. But they just don’t here, even if you’re using this palette to work on different skin tones.
I know that their shadow quality is the best of the best but dang that price tag…
I LOVE matte eye shadows and would definitely buy that palette if it did not cost so much and did not have so many colors that look the same, specially the light ones. I probably have dupes for most of them.
There’s only one row in this palette for me, the 5th one from the left (with all the pretty vibrant colors). So NO GO.
