Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 3 Look: Gold, Plum, Green

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 3 Look:  Gold, Plum, Green

I told you I’d have a look for you soon! 🙂  I did film a tutorial for this look, and I’m hoping to have that up on Friday-ish.   Hope everyone’s having a fantastic Thursday!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Primer Potion as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Maui Wowie eyeshadow on the inner half of the lid and pull upwards along the inner crease. Lightly blend Rockstar eyeshadow on the outer half of the lid with the 239. Next, apply Loaded eyeshadow into the crease with the 226, lightly blending onto the outer lid.  Blend Trench eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone. Bring everything together by applying Rockstar eyeliner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply #15 blush on the apples of the cheeks and sweep upwards towards the temple with the 116, then lightly pat Beige Lumineux meteorites on the cheekbones, forehead, bridge of nose, and chin.

For lips, apply Naked lipstick first, and then layer Midnight Cowboy lip junkie for a complementing lip.

this is such a sexy/sultry look! you always know what colors to put together! I have a question… What got you started on temptalia.com and the beauty world. I’ve always been curious 🙂

Thanks a lot, Catherine! 🙂

I wanted a place to keep all my looks in one easy to access/track/view place, so the blog was created! Then it just snowballed from there 🙂 You can check the About Us tab on the top or the link at the bottom (in the footer) for a little more info!

Wow! I love it. I actually wouldn’t have thought to put these colours together but they work fab! this is a cool rock chick look IMO!

Ah you are so sweet to remember my name! Thank you! I’m going to use it now instead of the moniker (is that the right word, I only heard it for the first time recently!)

My only complaint is … that you are teasing us all by getting to play with the palette when we have to wait another month! LOL 😉

Love the colors! Man, now I want the bos3, but I am not a fan of glittery eyeshadows :/

Btw plushlash isn’t doing much for your lashes in this look ;/

Christina Avatar

Ooh it’s just only in this look. Nothings wrong with it overall (plushlash looks good in your other looks). I just think that the mascara looks too “natural” for such a daring/fierce eye (fierce in a sultry way!). So I feel like the mascara doesn’t do much for your lashes in this particular look.

Aughhhh now I want this palette, but more just to admire the colors! I wish Loaded wasn’t exclusive to the palette!

This is hands down, one of my favorite looks you’ve ever EVER done. I like the amalgam of the smoky colors w/blue greenish undertones mixed with the red/maroon color and gold. So pretty!

Christy Avatar

LOVE the look 😀 Can’t wait for BOS III! And that’s a great lip for it too. When I saw the words “Midnight Cowboy Lip Junkie” I thought it would be huge glitter city but it looks nice.

PS Now I don’t even want Naked palette! BOS 4 ME 😀

Daniela Avatar

WOW you look absolutely gorgeous, I love this look…ahh I was trying to resist buying the UD BoS III but you are making it sooo hard!!!

Daphnee Avatar

Love it! I only like Rockstar, Loaded, Bordello and the goldish color in the second to last row. Liking four colors is not enough for me to buy the palette 🙁

I love this look, Christine! The color combo sort of reminds me of Le Metier de Beaute’s Devotion palette (gold, dark plum, navy, and then a bronzey orange to really throw me off.) I haven’t been able to get the LMDB palette to work all that well on me yet, but this post is inspiring me to try again to see if I can use it to duplicate your look. Thanks!

Lisa Avatar

WOW Christine you look Smoking HOT WOMAN!!! You always look great! You make me wanna go out and purchase!!! I was just wondering what camera do you use??

Vanessa Avatar

Hi! I have been watching some of your tutorials in youtube… I would really really REALLY like it if you would talk to the camera showing your entire face! that would be so awesome!

Brooke Avatar

Aww I love this look! I want to try it out so bad but I guess I’ll have to wait til I hit NYC on the 28th to get my BOS3!!!
Can you think of any MAC dupes to recreate this look???

Eva Avatar

WHen I saw the pics of the UD Book of Shadows Vol III I was sure I could skip it – and then you go and post this sultry look. *sigh*
Now I am lemming..

Sea Avatar

Hi!
I started following your blog not too long ago.
I love it!!!! I wish I knew sooner!!!!!
I can’t wait for the palette to come out, but I know I won’t be able to that pretty eye make-up like you did!
Looks great on you.:)

Chloe Avatar

This is gorgeous…reminds me of your Memento Mori look, only with plum instead of teal. I will be using this as my “back to school” look!

Alia Avatar

I do have thick eyebrow like yours. I’ve never think to do makeup with high dark crease, coze It does not look good on me

After I’ve seen yours I’ll try to do the same look on one day, it looks good on you

^_^

Brenda Avatar

Very nice! I feel like I’d like to see the black brought up a teensy bit higher above your crease, maybe a rounder outer “v”..I think you could totally rock it 🙂 (just as a variation, not that I don’t Love this!) xo

Cami Avatar

Tried this look today- only had Maui Wowie, so for the plum I blended MAC Fake and Satin Taupe shadows, and for the dark green I used Urban Decay Mildew from the Ammo Shadow Box. For liner, I used clinique quick eyes in Double Coffee.

Now I feel oh so pretty 🙂
