Oh, that’s hard. A pretty nude/sheer Etude House lipstick, Wet n Wild Within These Adobe Walls is always a fast go-to… I’m not sure what the third would be! Some sort of lip balm, of course. I think I’ll go with JB too!

Curse this dry, windy, winter weather! It’s -50 degrees Celsius where I live (-58 F), and it’s taking a huge toll on my skin and lips. I tried to wear a MAC retro matte today, and the effect was disastrous.
Oh dear! How do you cope? Visiting Perth in Australia this week – dreading +35 degree C days. And I think I have dry skin problems.

I really like the YSL stains (I have Corail Mutin) but the bottle is tiny and after spending so much on it, i’m just afraid of finishing it.
Mine would probably be Urban Decay lipstick in Shame with plum lip liner by NYX, OCC lip tar in Vintage with Rapture lip liner by Rimmel, and the last would have to be Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Sultry. I’m all about the bold dark lips as of late.

Ok…I know that’s really four products, but I feel like the magic really happens when the Viva Glams are worn together! 🙂

Wow this is hard!! MAC Lip Conditioner – considering I cannot be without it LOL; LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub; and …it’s a close race, but having recently rediscovered just how excellent it is, I have to say MAC Viva Glam VI Lipglass.

1 – Tarina Tarantino Conditioning Lip Sheen in Queen Alice – looks good even when my lips are in bad shape due to the weather, plus such an easy to wear color.
2 – Maybelline Color Elixirs, I find them quite moisturizing and there are some great colors.
3 – Balm – Jack Black is my favorite for how it works, but I have a couple stick balms too – I prefer them sometimes for ease of application

I don’t really have any ATM… Lips are at the very bottom of my list of priorities, probably tied with hair, so I don’t have any particular “must-haves”. I always wear some type of balm, and unless conditions are extreme, anything works. That said, for a few years, Korres Lip Butters were always on hand, but my place of work was always dry & cold.
Mine are – Buxom Full On Lip Polish in Katie, OCC Lip Tar in Electric Grandma, and Maybelline Color Elixer in Nude Illusion. 🙂

L’Oreal’s liquid lipsticks, Wet N Wild Fergie’s Vampy Varnish glossy stains, and Revlon’s balm stains.

I really like the Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede lipsticks and the ColorBurst Balm Stains. The texture of the US lipsticks are not for everyone, though. I also like Maybelline Colorsensational Vivids. I’m so thrilled that Maybelline released a line of brights!

I am so glad you brought up the YSL glossy stains – I am OBSESSED! Other must-haves: The Body Shop twist up born lippy balms and Bite lipsticks
Based on your recommendation I finally found a stockist of Jack black lip balms in NZ which I’m using and liking very much (woohoo!) (I also like the YSL Top secret lip balm too). My favourite lipsticks of the moment are two of the YSL latest releases (reviewed by your good self,Christine) in #31 and#33. If there was one more it would be the Guerlain le rouge Lippies too.
I only have one right now. It’s convatect protective ointment 3 skin protectant. It’s helping Luis stay super moist this winter while lips handle the ins and out of a dental appliance. (Very helpful)
1. Epically Epic lip balms ($3.75 here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/EpicallyEpicSoap ). They come in both tinted and untinted, my must-haves for tinted are Passionfruit Rose and Epic Berry. I will ALWAYS recommend them, as they’re my favorite lip balms, although I do alternate with Nivea Lip Butter, simply because it’s available in stores.
2. Lanolips. The 101 Ointment is my favorite overnight lip balm, although it could be a pain to squeeze out of the tube in winter. I’ve been using the Golden Ointment (which has a larger tube and has a better value), which works pretty well, but a little bit less moisturizing than the 101 Ointment. Lanolips has colored versions that make pretty lipglosses as well.
3. Some sort of lip color that leaves a stain and has a glossy finish. My current favorite is Jordana Twist & Shine (especially Terra Crave, as it’s my favorite my lips but better shade), but I’ve been loving Revlon’s Kissable Lip Balm Stain as well. I haven’t personally tried the YSL Glossy Stains, but I’ve been using the L’Oreal equivalent (Caresse Stains) and loving them! I fell in love with the shade Lolita/Lilac Ever After shade, which is surprising since it’s not a typical shade for me.

MAC Odyseey is still a favorite, as is Viva Glam III. I also like em cosmetics sheer lipstick in violaceous.
Polar vortexes are even affecting Florida this summer! My lips need serious relief:
1. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
This glowing orange Vaseline is not a cream and I rarely use it on my skin unless I have a burn. It says “Fragrance Free” but child no, this stuff smells like nothing you have ever smelt in your natural born life. Definite ick factor with the smell, but this stuff is the real-deal Holy Grail serious lip healer. Word.
2. Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm
Easier to use than EA 8-Hour and more portable. Great for harsh Florida coastal conditions. Original and favors with SPF 25 equally rock. Hail the JB!
3. Carmex Moisturizing Lip Balm, Original formula and Cherry tube preferred, pot close second
My gal-pal coworker deems this “Altoids for the lips!”
