Budget-Friendly Eyeshadows & Eyeliners | 2014 Editor's Favorites
I feel like this was the year of the eyeliner when it came to choosing my favorite budget-friendly eye products. It was hard not to make a list just for eyeliners, because there were so many amazing shades to choose from!
- Makeup Geek Moondust Eyeshadow — medium-dark, warm-toned taupe with a metallic finish
- Sephora Surfer Babe Eyeliner — a rich, medium-dark blue with a pearly finish (looks SO good on the lower lash line for a pop of color!)
- ColourPop I Heart This — a sparkly light-medium gold with a metallic, glittering finish (very appropriate for a New Year’s Eve post!)
- Sleek Arabian Nights Eyeshadow Palette — from rich, bold, and deepened shades from beige to cobalt to burgundy, there was a lot to love in this palette!
- Sephora Flirting Game Eyeliner — shimmering taupe eyeliner? I’m there, there, AND still there! Great alternative to black and brown eyeliner
- L’Oreal True Teal Eyeliner — one of my new favorite teal eyeliners (and I am a true connoisseur of teal eyeliner!) for its rich color payoff and intense vibrancy
- Makeup Geek Barcelona Beach Eyeshadow — a soft, muted, medium brown with subtle rosy tones and a satin finish
- Sephora Go For a Ride Eyeliner — a deep, forest green with a subtle, pearly sheen
- Makeup Geek Mesmerized — a rich, medium-dark taupe brown with a metallic finish
- L’Oreal Cobalt Blue Eyeliner — one of the most intense blue eyeliners I’ve ever come across, period
My faves for liner would also be from Sephora – Diving in Malaysia, Tango Night, Snakeskin Dress (actually, ALL the ones I’ve purchased from the Contour and Retractable lines, and their Jumbo pencils, which I use as shadows and shadow bases. For budget eyeshadows, again it would be Sephora’s powder shadows (I think I have 4 or 5 of them) and Inglot (420 and 434 were my 2014 additions).
I love like 90% of the Contour range – I tried to narrow it to some of the MOST amazing (nearly flawless) ones, haha!
From this list, I don’t have only three items: ColourPop I Heart This, Sleek Arabian Nights Eyeshadow Palette and Makeup Geek Mesmerized.
This proves that TEMPTALIA reign absolute as my biggest guide and reference point to my makeup choices.

Yay you picked Go For a Ride! I’m sure you’ve answered this before… but do Makeup Geek shadows fit in MAC palettes?
I’m pretty sure they do, but I only have MAC’s older blush palettes!
Yes MUG shadows fit and MAC palette’s! They are the same size of MAC shadow 🙂
I was able to put them in the MAC palette I bought in November
My favorite shadows are from Makeup Geek(MUG) and favorite liners are from Milani and Prestige!

Love Sephora Surfer Babe so much! Just bought one last weekend. Have been loving it and been wearing it everyday ever since!
I didn’t have too many budget-friendly eyeshadows this year, but I’m really looking forward to purchasing MUG Jester Foiled eyeshadow, sometime in the future.
Great choices. I’ll probably be buying some more L’Oreal liners soon. Mesmerized is hard to resist!
Eyeshadows: Notoriously Morbid, Sleek, ColourPop, Profusion, Hard Candy, Wet n Wild.
Eyeliners: L’oreal Silkissime, Nyx liquid eyeliners
Wow I have all of these except Mesmerized and I Heart This! They’re all great products.
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bronze! I wear it like errrrrrrday!

I love Makeup Geek eyeshadows! Great quality and really affordable! My favorites are Drama Queen, Last Dance, Twilight and Rockstar.
Inglot is anonther budget-friendly favorite. Love the huge shade selection.
Love the Sephora and L’Oreal eyeliners. I think their range is stunning and they are often better than the high end products (I’m looking at you UD!). Great colours and very easy to wear.
I have been very much enjoying all my colourpop eyeshadows, they are so much fun!

I found out about Morphe cosmetics and they have wonderful eyeshadows and brushes. The eye shadows are so pigmented and the single pans are only $2 each!!!

I have the L’Oreal Cobalt Blue Eyeliner. I normally do this type of liner on the lower lash line.
I love Golden Olive liner by NYX too!! Just Gorg!!!! I love Sleek’s pallets….I have many!
