I’ve never had a “worst” hair dryer, per se (I always have to use a flat iron, no matter) but I have had a best – the T3 a friend got me for my birthday. If I were willing to spend a few minutes with a brush, I could actually forgo my flat iron with this dryer. And it is so fast, doesn’t seem to get “hot” like other dryers I’ve owned, so it’s odd that it dries hair so quickly and well. And it leaves my hair frizz-free, which is nothing short of amazing!

For me, anything under $30 has been awful…so basically a lot of Conair and Revlon models. However, my Conair Infiniti, which cost around $35, is just fine (not great, but it gets the job done, and has lasted over a year so far).

Hunny! I have super curly hair and I have invested in a lot of blow dryer time. I have used several different blow dryers over the years but none can compare to the 2 best that I have right now. I use one on a daily basis and one when I travel. The Chi blow dryer I use daily and the Babyliss Pro blow dryer when traveling (I got it with a package deal with my flat iron). Both are pretty pricy but well worth the investment! I have had both over 2 years now. They work like champs! WAY less frizzys too!

I had this old Revlon of which I don’t remember the model name. It started shooting out sparks one day and a piece of my hair caught fire.

The worst blow dryers I’ve ever used have been the ones in hotel rooms. I’ve literaly had them suck my hair in while I was drying it. I always bring my own when I travel now.

Totally agree. Hotel blowdryers may get it dry but it will be a frizzy mess. I love my T3 and need to get a travel size for the convenience.

The conair one with the retractable cord. No matter how careful I am, the cord got busted. Plus, even the hottest settings is just warm for me now.

I just got back from a Disney Cruise and have to admit I found the absolutely worse hair dryer ever in the cabin’s bathroom. For the life of me I can’t remember the name of it, it wasn’t one I had ever heard of before. It was a compact model and I have never had a hair dryer that put out less heat and air than that one. My first thought was that with the cost of a Disney Cruise, at least they could have invested in a decent hair dryer! Since the cruise ship was the Disney Dream, and it didn’t start sailing until January of this year, I know the dryer couldn’t have been just old and worn out. But it certainly was a lesson in frustration!

Some old Conair one I had…it would eat my hair! I would literally have to shut off the dryer and try to untangle my hair from it. Ok, so maybe I could be more careful, but don’t you think with dryers being so close to long hair, the manufacturers would have figured out a way to prevent this? I’m now perfectly happy with my Babyliss Pro TT 🙂

I have had tons of love affairs with blow dryers because I am a natural girl and anything not powerful with one or 2 settings is for the birds…I recently bought a Baybliss and I am sooooo happy with the results.

I love my T3 and I Love my Helen of Troy one I have had for 10 years. I’m pretty sure the T3 is better for my hair because the HoT one gets SO hot.

I LOVE my hair dryer. I have the CHI Nano Ceramic (baby blue). I have long, 3a hair and I can do a full blow-out in 20 minutes. My hair also comes out smooth and I don’t have to use further heat treatment. When I travel with friends they all ask me to bring it because they have “hair dryer envy.”
