I third this one. It’s fantastic, extremely lightweight and fast-absorbing. My skin feels perfectly moisturized.

Another one I really like is Mary Kay Oil Free Hydrating Gel. It’s very close to the Clinique one, except comes in a glass tub.

I got a sample and I loved it!! but yeah, the price is a little high =(
I might give in, though, it’s the only mattifying that hasn’t given me break outs.

I have to echo Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. It’s the lightest moisturizer, and it evaporates almost immediately into the skin.

I tried this one! It’s pretty good for mattifying, but my skin became oily again in a couple hours. I also found that over a long term period, it didn’t moisturize enough and so my face became drier. Worth trying for those with oily skin (but not dry skin) considering the price!

I hate oily skin. Presently i’m fighting the same battle as you 🙂
Ive found that a moisturizer isn’t absolutely necessarily. That instead if you have the right amount of water per day (8 glasses or so) you will be fine. Try to use oil absorbing lotions or you could talk to a dermatologist. NOTE: the dermatologist might recommend products that are out of your price range and that’s fine, just look at the products ingredients and look for a cheaper alternative for less $$. Right now I only use a little drop of moisturizer twice a day which is either CAUDALIE Vinopure Mattte Finish Fluid or DERMOLAGICA Oil Absorbing Lotion. Also, dont forget the rest of your daily routine, remember to cleanse and tone twice a day. Use a cheap cleanser because it only last on your face for 30 seconds at tops. For a toner use a mild one i’m using an apricot one from Elemis. Lets not forget sun protection! Acne prone/oily skin does terrible with sun. Use an Spf 30 and up. I use Korres Sunscreen face cream Watermelon which is excellent. My oily skin is starting to get closer to combination which is great! Hope this Helps!

Babor Perfect Combination day cream…great for mattifying, since it has bamboo powder and it has natural SPF 4 and built in UVA protection! The Best One I have ever found ;))))

Elisabeth, I had the same problem. Although I could get away with Clinique’s DDMG it would ruin my look by the middle of the day and all on what the others mentioned are concerned, my skin would breakout and sweat just by mentioning them!
If you can get your hands on Caudalie – Vinexpert day cream, go ahead and try it. It was my biggest discovery in the last years!

I use the Mattifying Primer from Proactiv which is pretty nice, but for regular moisturizer I use the green tea moisturizer from Proactive. I was using the Oil COntrol Lotion from MAC….its all trial and error!!

Dove Sensitive Skin Day Lotion. It’s the ONLY ONE that does not make my face greasy and/or make me break out. Seriously. The only one. *covets*

Olay Total- Effects for normal skin w/ SPF 15. I don’t use moisturizer in the morning, just sunscreen. I use the moisturizer starting from mid-day, after being cooped up in the office. It works and my makeup (after touch up) stays put.

I so love the Clean & Clear Soft Day moisturizer it has helped me so much I hate it that it has been discontinued… It really helped my large pores and oily combo skin…

hey, im new here and just wanted to share my p.o.v. my skin type is oily combination. i had black heads, white heads and pimples. although it wasnt serious acne, i still had new ones every few days.
i tried everything, even the clinique 3-step. it didnt work. just made it worst
so i finally went to see a dermotologist, he gave CENTAPLIH CLEANSER and pills. now i dont depend on the pills so much but the cleanser really helped. for those who have the same problem, give it a try.
i dont really use toners but i use biotherm aquasource moisturizer. its great.

The Made from Earth Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer saved my face!!

In my late twenties, I tried just about every moisturizer I could find including rarified ingredient boutique lotions but my skin remained dry, hot, itchy, flaky, and I was seeing laugh lines around my eyes. I was about to give up hope until my mother, whowho has AMAZING skin, brought me the organic Made from Earth “Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer”…

On the occasions I do try other lotions, they never measure up.

My skin thanked me after the first application. After a few days, it looked better, was less red, less chapped. Within a month or two (or less, I don’t remember after 3 years) I had no lines near my eyes, my skin feels soft and comfortable unless I abuse it. When I abuse it, this lotion makes it feel better. People consistently guess my age to be 5-8 years younger than I am even though I have grey hair.

I almost never need more than a tiny amount the size of a pencil eraser to cover my face, neck and hands. (Keep the cap or it dries out.) I recommend it to anyone looking for a facial moisturizer that works as good or better than advertised. Absolutely worth the money since it last for a good 3 month period.

I’ve used Cetaphil moisturizer with decent results and was glad for the SPF, but my favorite so far would have to be Clinique’s DDMG. No SPF, but I rarely go out during the daylight hours anyways.

Neutragena oil-free moisturizer with spf 15.
I extremely oily, acne prone skin and this works for me because it’s free of oil, doesn’t clog pores, absorbs quickly, and adds sun protection.

I have oily skin, especially on my t-zone regions. I found the Made from Earth pH Equilibrant Moisturizer to be a great, light-weight but effective moisturizer for my oily skin.

It doesn’t feel greasy and heavy; especially good on my oily t-zone and equally effective on dryer areas. I use it in combination with their Grapefruit Glycolic Scrub and have noticed a marked improvement in the last two months with my skin – particularly the neck and chest area (had some sun damage).
