Frederik Fekkai’s Sheer Hold Hairspray…
http://www.fekkai.com/products/coiff/hairspray
most lightweight/natural-feeling spray, that really holds a style 🙂
I agree! By far the best hairspray Ive ever tried. It works but doesnt feel like youre wearing anything. The only way you know youve got it on is that your hairstyle stays put all day.
I agree!!! Only one with perfect hold that doesnt give me a headache! I have tried dozens of other drugstore or high-end sprays that just cant compete. I tried to find something even close because it is $43.00 CDN for the larger size bottle in Vancouver, Canada! No luck. I am stuck with my HG hairspray!
I like Sebastian Professional 9 shape spray. Holds well and smells nice… well as nice as a professional hair spray can work.
Sort of related note – I need recommendations for a new ceramic hair straightener. Anything the Temptalia reads would recommend?
— I have fine hair that cut into a bob with the hair angled right down my jaw line. My current iron isn’t cutting it and is making my hair flip even with product 🙁 I think it’s time for a new iron that doesn’t burn my head if I accidentally hit it 🙁
Hi Cherie! I have the exact same style cut as you and I use a Cortex flat iron. I have been very pleased with it! Hope you find a good one!
Perfect! Thank you so much VetTechDivaTN. I will be checking that one out for sure 🙂
Redken #18 finishing spray. Its really lightweight and doesnt feel like too much on your hair.
^Perhaps you need to add a bit more product at the ends of your hair to prevent it from flipping? My hair flips too, so I use a bit of silicone serum at the ends while I blow dry my hair and finish it up with a 1.5 wide straightener. I use Victorias Secret Smoothing Shine Serum, but there are a lot of other products out there that will put a bit of weight on the ends to prevent flipping. Just a tiny bit will do, other wise youll feel greasy.
Im a fan of LOreals Elnett and Bumble and Bumbles Classic and Spray de Mode…
Yes back in the day I (and my ex) were BIG fans of the Sebastian spray – the biggest can they had. Those things were HUGE!!!
One that I really like is Jonathan Product Finish Control High Shine Flexible Hairspray. My sister used this one and at first I thought it was ridiculous that she paid 30 bucks for a hairspray until I ran out of my Aqua Net and I had to borrow hers and I loved it! I love the scent of the spray and I like it that it is vegan too (Even if I am not a vegan). It held my hair up nice and better than my Aqua Net hair spray. Best hairspray I have ever used!
Rusk spray in the can, the extra hold. Smells wonderful and gives a light spray mist.
Bumble & Bumble Spray de Mode is *amazing* if you have the cash. From the drugstore, Garnier Fructis makes a great-smelling one with pretty good hold! Both are light and non-sticky… not to mention, they manage to make my hair feel crazy smooth ^^
I swear by Sebastian Shaper Plus, but I’m from Texas, where big hair is king, lol. I wear a messy updo almost every day and it does a great job keeping that held together, but it also works really well when my hair is down. It’s light enough to keep poufy volume on top from flattening out or looking crispy.
Sebastian Shaper FTW. The Nick Chavez and Fekkai ones are nice, too… but sebastian is just as great for the price.
Kenra volume hair spray..buy far the best..soft shiny voluminous hold. Does not feel like you have anything on, and can be easily brushed out and restyled without flaking!! HG HG HG
I like Big Sexy Hair Backcomb in a Bottle. I have a short bob, angled with my jawline and this spray gives me the root lift I desperately need! It is very firm hold, doesn’t smell bad and really fights the humidity we have down here in Tennssee! Love, love it!!!
Bumble&Bumble Spray de Mode
I love BBs Spray De Mode also, its definitely my HG, but I really want to find something similar that is a little cheaper. I tried the Elnett although it had great hold I really couldnt take the smell.
I like Down Under Naturals Fruit Kicks Bodifying finishing mist in pomegranate and sweet grapefruit. It smells great, holds well and lightweight. It was only $1.99 at London Drugs, I have the same bottle for over a year now. I salon near my house is opening and they carry Bumble and Bumble products. I look forward visiting them because now I don’t have to travel way downtown or to the west end to get their products.
I love Shielo’s Volume hair spray. I have never had a nosel break on me and I never had it get clogged. I used their Volume shampoo for years, and finally decided to try the hair spray.
The reason I love Shielo’s hair spray is because I have thick but fine hair. Lots of hair that won’t do anything. I don’t like FLAT hair. I use this hair spray and first of all my hair acturally stays where I spray it – unusual for me (might be because I live in the south). This also gives my hair some lift. When I want to brush my hair I have no problem – the brush goes right thru my hair and then I can restyle. I would recommend this product to my near and dear friends.
